(High Casual) Supernatural Urban Warfare RPG

All right so here's the very basic premise of this RPG I've been working on for a couple of years now. It's April 2012, and the city of Samhain (an island metropolis in the Delaware Bay), is a relatively peaceful cosmopolitan city, the crown jewel of the middle Eastern seaboard and New York City's main rival. Waiting in the wings of this city, however, is a powerful force to be reckoned with. An alliance of strange creatures calling themselves Demons stand poised to hold the city hostage for their own purposes. They hold the city hostage and transform it into a total warzone as those who could not escape the island, and in fact those crazy souls who arrived on the island after the takeover, fight for not only their survival, but for a rumored prize that awaits those who remain alive and triumphant at the end of the Demon's promised one-year standoff.

Players will take on the role of various members of an organization known as the Beltane Family; a group of loosely affiliated homeless people, ne'er-do-well's, art students (attending Samhain Art Institute), and other members of the city who are down on their luck as they, unable to escape the island as many of the rich people were able to do, must fight against the forces that have beset themselves onto the city. You will not be alone, however, as there will be those in the city who will ally themselves with the Beltane Family, both within human and Demonkind. Furthermore, with the arrival of the Demons has also come a strange set of powers that may be harnessed by the people who obtain them. These powers afford their wielders supernatural skills that will be their aid in the continuing war. Survive the year, advance in the city, and perhaps the much-talked about prize will go to you and yours.

Here is a map of Samhain, the key to the map will be posted in the OOC.

Awesome. Always good to have players that I haven't roleplayed with before. Any questions you have initially that I can maybe answer?

I am interested in this, its clear you've put an amazing degree of effort into it and I'd like to take part. However I'm new to the site, and not sure if you want a newbie! But if you do, I'd like to join in.

Oh by all means all people are welcome to play. I've known some newbies who end up doing very well. It's wonderful to have new people on board.
