Demonica Saga Prelude: Little Black Book
Ever, on and on I continued to venture further away from the manor, with nothing but a sword, 10 pink diamonds for cash, and an enchanted chrome sphere. Food would only decay and water would only be contaminated by the elements. I only took the metal ball, because it had always been hovering in my room, and I had grown somewhat attached to it. Sometimes I would talk to it, speaking of secrets and rumors to something that wouldn’t- no couldn’t betray me.
I held my tablecloth of belongings as I continued to bolt away from the manor, through the cool, humid wind that tickled the invisible hairs on my arms. With that, I began to smell a curtain kind of scent thats only unique to that of a Manican Swamp Troll. It frightened me, but not enough to flee and head back for the manor. Not enough to go back and suffer the punishment of Reri, Keri, and Neri, the three grandchildren of old Avia, the manor owner. All three of them have crimson red hair, and golden green eyes that resembled my own. Around them I always felt weak and with weakness came submission and with submission came torture. So now, I’ll be sure that where ever I go, I won’t be treated like trash, because where ever I lay my head will be home.
Suddenly I heard a fierce roar, that instantly snapped me out of my thoughts. I sniffed the air and sure enough that was it. The Swamp Troll had come. I dropped my cloth of stuff, leaving me with nothing but a sharp steel blade. Quickly, I armed myself with the steel weapon, and pointed towards a nearby swampy forest, where a large, hideous, ape-like beast came charging out. Sweat began to bleed from my pores, as a sudden realization came to me. I’ve never fought a Swamp Troll in my entire life! Nevertheless, I prayed and gripped my sword really tight as it charged me with its full force.
