Star Wars The Rise of the Final Empire

"So did you hear about what's going on in the upper sector?" There was the echo of water dripping in the cold, damp tunnel.

"Besides Prime Minister Dou? No not really."

"Yeah turns out that the Republic is pulling tail." Their voices echoed throughout the tunnel. Their dimly light lights pointed at their feet.

"What, really? This soon? I mean I expected as much with Dou (Dow) in control but I expected more resistance. Well congrats to us, we now have stable employment."

The two laughed, "Well I wouldn't say that, if we fuck up on this tunnel watch Rite might have our heads cut off."

"That's a good one there. No one has been under the Jedi Temple in over a century. Well no one besides us at least."

"Yeah you're right, guess the only downside is the cold." the man scratched the back of his head causing the blaster slung over his shoulder to turn slightly just enough so that the man in front of him caught a glimpse of something. It slid back into the shadows.

"Hey man I think I saw something."

"Nice one, I'm not falling for that."

"No seriously it looked like a foot." As the man reached for his gun his partner did see something crawling across the ceiling and onto the wall behind him.

"Oh shit man watch out!" But it was too late. A staff with a leaf shaped blade opened up and pierced through the man's skull causing a bar to stick out from his open mouth. Before anything could be done the staff shot a single beam.

Dax placed his feet on the ground as his spine aligned. He pulled the staff from the man's skull and both bodies simultaneously fell. One into the water of the sewer and the other soon followed after a kick from the metal foot which had alerted the the men to the presence of the intruder in the first place. "We may proceed now." The droid said as he cleaned the tip of his staff with the half robe that hung from his shoulder.

There hasn't been much success since the start of their mission to find and stop the new Sith Empire. The Imperials have always been around but after the war was over, most of them spread and were not very organized. The arts of the force emerged once again but with the Sith, creating a stronger Empire and strengthening the Imperials. They kept their new found powers, that were once lost, a secret. They approached the Republic in a non-threatening manner, wanting to gain hold of the Jedi Temple to be the new host of the way's of the force that were locked away inside. They formed a trade-off with the Republic, giving them the whole barren planet of Tatooine, and the Republic's most sacred religious planet Naboo. Asking them for the temple in return for these two planets, there was a big debate as to why, but the Imperial's main argument was that it would strike fear into their enemies that they were able to claim the Jedi Temple. With much consideration, the Republic accepted, mainly because they were getting back Naboo, a sacred planet with many allies and resources, though they did question as to why they wanted just the Temple, it was no use to the Republic since they no longer had the ability to use the force, none-the-less, the odds were in their favor, or so it seemed. The new Sith Empire would use the secrets of the Jedi Temple and become stronger in the ways of the force.

Zanno walked slowly and as quiet as he could, trying his best to ignore the smell of the sewer as he followed two guards, staying far back enough to where he knew where they were but didn't see them, instead could smell them. When he heard the different noises that sounded like a stealth ambush he came around the corner and nodded at her robotic ally, not feeling very appreciative to have such a partner. "Yeah yeah whatever good job," waving his hand in the air being sarcastic, the droid probably wouldn't know the difference anyways, "Lets just find the Imperial Captain and get this over with," he stepped passed the metal being and continued down the tunnel.

"Over with. The act of being done or complete. Yes, let us indeed get this, over with." Dax made an odd jerking motion as if stretching a muscle. In doing this a sphere expelled from his body and cut on. A red light emitted from it's center which was a sensor an inch thinner than the rest of the metal sphere. The drone hovered down the tunnel and scanned it creating a path in DX-23's memory.

"The temple is this way." He said walking down the tunnel and taking a right. He continued a ways with the brute behind him. "I've noticed that you're body shows signs of increase Epinephrine when you confront me. Epinephrine is a chemical that can either increase physical output in dangerous situations, or in cases increase and produce the emotional reaction of anger. It is to my understanding as that since I being your partner would not put your life in direct harm, so it could not be a precaution to danger so I must assume that it is the later and that you hold some sort of aggression towards me." The assassin continued forward as his calculations echoed in his mind. "My prior action of reviving you killing those who may bring harm to you would not logically lead you to holding anger towards me as individual so it must be something that you hold against me as a race. Based on that, it is my conclusion that you either hold a grudge against synthetics or," He paused for a moment as he had spoken relatively fast, "that the process is not logical and you are therefor insane. Do you compute?"

Zanno shook his head and rubbed it, becoming annoyed with his partner. He stopped and grabbed the shoulder of the droid to stop it, "Do I compute?" he paused for a moment, stirring with frustration, "Listen droid, I have my reasons to hate your kind and it's not your business to know why, so stop talking about it and focus on the mission." He wasn't in the mood and all he cared about at the moment was completing the task, he turned the droid back around by moving its shoulder, "what are you waiting for? Go!"

Dax heard the alien's commands but continued at the same pace. The walk was quiet for awhile, no activity. Then DX-23 stopped in place. "The drone ceased functioning. Someone took it out."

Zanno stopped when it did, he growled quietly, "Or shot it," he stepped past him and saw that the tunnel went in 2 directions, on left and the other right, but he wasn't in the intersection, just before it. "Which way did it go from here, if they found it, most likely waiting for us," he was gonna charge down what ever tunnel they said, their cover was probably blown anyways, the two guards not answering their holos or the fact that his drone was seen.

"My map ends to the left. So that must be where it was disabled." DX-23 pulled out another sphere, this time smaller than the first and dropped it into the water. "Should they come this way to attack us from behind they will meet a nasty surprise." He stopped. "Oh do lead the way."

Zanno nodded and pulled out his barrier, typing a code on the panel on the back and throwing it down the tunnel. The small piece of metal instantly grew to its max size and then generated an electric protection field that extended to the walls of the circular tunnel, the piece of metal hovering in the middle of the corridor. He then charged down the tunnel and saw a few guards at the end, he stood behind the barrier and their blasters just bounced off the metal, he used his thorns and launched them at two guards, each on either side of the metal barrier. He then pulled hard and kicked the barrier, sending them flying at each other and the guards being electrocuted by the field.

Dax traded in his Lance for a sniper rifle. He had left his favorite weapon on the surface wrapped in cloth and hidden by a garbage bin. Not that a machine could truly have a favorite but he found it's efficiency to and his control over it to be excellent. The sniper he was using was more like a cannon. It had a rod which acted like a coil with a beam burning around it. The liquid placed around the rod would crytalize and gain energy before finally exploding and expelling out the front of the gun. The result was five long seconds of charging and the target exploding into small bits. With any luck his partner wouldn't jump in front of his shots.

Zanno sprinted with the barrier as it moved down the tunnel from his kick, he pulled out his staff and broke in two, now having a baton in each hand with a large electric field moving around it. As more guards showed up he disabled the electric field from his barrier so he could go pass, only to have it boot up once more. He raised both batons and the guards blaster fire was being deflected at the walls of the corridor. He threw one of his batons at the enemy, impaling and electrocuting him. With his hand now free he grabbed the skull of a nearby guard and threw him across the tunnel into the wall.
