Rosie's life had taken turn that she, nor anybody close to her had ever expected. Engaged, but engaged to marry into an incredibly wealthy manhattan family. The family had made their money in commodity trading, although if the truth be known, Rosie had no idea what that actually meant. Reece had spent many hours trying to explain it to his fiancé, but it always ended in the pair giving up and changing subject. Life was good. She adored her husband-to -be, and was busy putting the finishing touches to the wedding plan. Budget was naturally no object.
Even though she was engaged, something still didn't feel quite right. There was a gap on the inside of her, and she was never able to find out what it was. It drove her crazy. Most women would be deliriously happy to have what she had, and she was happy, there was just something missing. Still, as her brother Harry said, it was more than likely just wedding jitters. Once it was over, everything would settle down. Yes, that had to be it. Although, if Rosie actually let herself look a little deeper, she'd know exactly what or who it was that was missing.
It was an ordinary day, the sun was shining brightly, and the pretty redhead made her way to the local shops. Her hair cascaded down to her shoulders in bright red curls, and her dark green eyes were protected by oversized sunglasses. The freckles on her nose were bright from her recent vacation to Barbados, and her body was its usual svelte self. A pair of stonewashed skinny jeans hugged her hips perfectly, and a pink tshirt helped to keep her cool. Rosie may never admit it, but she really was a stunner. As she made her way into town, she stopped off in the coffee shop that she'd frequented since high school. Grabbing a hot chocolate as she found a seat, waiting for her brother Harry to arrive.
Why did he always have to be so damn late?
