Lily had felt the rush of air that passed by her as he took off. Turning her head she watched him grow smaller as he got further away. She was relieved that he hadn't decided to follow her, since she was in no mood for entertaining anyone. Surprisingly though she got home with no trouble, her home was far off in the poorer areas. She lived alongside those who couldn’t afford food every day, those who killed or robbed others just to survive and though sometimes she dreaded it, she knew it had its advantages. Witchcraft was forbidden and frowned upon, if caught you would surely be executed for such a crime. Which was why living in such a poor area made things a lot easier for her, no one would suspect a witch to live in such a horrid place. Witches were smart and most of them rich with power and influence.

A few guards had stopped her on her way back. Royal guards from the palace that were sent off to guard the poorer areas, their job was mainly to prevent anyone coming in and out of that area to reduce the chance of infections spreading also to reduce the numbers that tried to sneak into the main city to find proper jobs and such. Lily had no trouble sneaking out but she had always been caught returning home, in which she explained that she was simply running errands, however this time was different. Once they had spotted her and her attire they stood up straight and greeted her politely. Lily for one had been surprised, never having been treated by such respect by anyone; quickly she explained that she was visiting someone in this area. The guards had clearly presumed that she had a high position because of how she was dressed and simply let her pass without any questions; instead they offered to walk her there.

Lily obviously declined their offer as she made her way safely back. Opening the door she was greeted with what she called ‘home’, a single large room with both a kitchen and bed for her to rest. Locking her door she made her way straight to bed. The tables she had were covered with numerous jars, and strange objects, there was absolutely no rooms on the shelves she had either as they too were covered with jars filled with odd things like limbs of an animal or strangely colored liquids. It was a place not suitable for any human being to live in but Lily got used to it. She could smell the stew she had made days ago, that had clearly gone bad but she was far too tired to do anything about it. Taking off the robe she placed it over her blanket before she curled herself under it all so she could keep warm.

Hours had gone by and Lily was completely unaware of the demon’s presence. Tufts of raven hair was seen poking out from her blanket, the room silent and peaceful. That silence eventually grew so loud that tiredness turned to curiosity. Slowly her eyes opened, only to be greeted with the rays of sunlight. The sun’s slender rays were so silently and gracefully seeping through the blinds on her windows, motioning for her to come, get out of bed. With a yawn, she groaned into her pillow as she forced herself to turn around though she immediately regretted it once she did. Her eyes caught sight of the demon who was seated on the floor nearby her bed.

“What are you doing here,” she growled as she sat up in her bed quite quickly. She had told him that she could call him when she needed him yet he was here in her home. “Didn’t I say that I’ll call you when I need you?” she asked, her voice was hoarse due to having just woken up.

Razmith sat a moment longer, watching her. She lived within a city, was under the eye of a militant cathedral, yet she called him still. His mistress was very interesting indeed. Although he would need to find a more suitable place nearby to stay, until she became accustomed to his presence. At last he spoke, “I am here because you are here. And because of that church atop the hill. I assure you, I would otherwise still be having my... fun, if not for the church. So I sated myself on a family outside the city. And I am still waiting for your call.”

His eyes trailed around the room, taking in the jars that lined the shelves. “A summoner would normally keep their demon close, to have them there instantly should the need arise. But I understand if you do not want me around,” he got an amused grin and stood shrugging off his robe before vanishing it. “However, if you find yourself in trouble, and need me quickly, that becomes a problem. I can teleport to you, but that takes tremendous power and would likely weaken me so badly that I am no help to you when I get there. So where do you propose I stay, Mistress, if you do not want me here?”

He leaned against a shelf lightly and regarded her, waiting for her answer.
    The Creed is Life.

Well how many grim reapers have you met before, mate?

Lily’s eyes were heavily fixed on him, her body tense as she watched him carefully. Demons were known to be unpredictable, but Lily wasn’t used to dealing with others. She was always overly cautious and easily frightened. She frowned at his words knowing that his fun was referring to the slaughter of humans or spreading chaos, after all it was what they were considered the best at doing. Her fingers traced over the coat he had given her as she let out a heavy sigh. She didn’t want a demon close to her in case he drew suspicions towards her. There was no way she could hide anything in her home since it was already so small and compact.

At the same time she worried that he would go out and cause trouble, the last thing she needed was a weakened demon since it would only be a disadvantage for her. Swinging her legs to the side of the bed she shot him another glance before making her way over to the stove. Throwing away the stew, she returned with the empty pot, finally having come to her decision. “You may reside with me, here. But if you so dare to touch me whilst I sleep, I will not agree to summoning those demons you wish to have every week,” she threatened. Setting the pot over the stove she strolled over to him, her hands on her hips as she stared up. “Remember your place demon, why I have summoned you.” Her words were stern and though he probably knew why he was summoned, she felt the need of reminding him.

“There is a festival today, I will be attending…. the royals will also be making an appearance,” she explained. Her sister would be there, but Lily still hadn’t come up with a proper plan. She didn’t know how to get close without being spotted.
