I've always used commas this way.
I still use it, didn't know there was a specific name for its use.
And a slightly racier version in a hider because trigger happy mods make me sad in the pants and I'm only 2 infraction points away from a permaban.
Sentences just looked fuck up to me when people are listing multiple things and the final two lack a comma to separate them, just like those images.
It's to do with how you are taught it in school. My class didn't learn about it, but I used it as I used to read a lot, so I was aware it exists.
For anyone who hasn't heard a Somerset accent, please listen to this if my character is stated to orginate from there.
I remember when I had a teacher who said the Oxford comma was outdated and incorrect.
Almost failed that class because of my stubbornness.
