“And where is the Prince who can afford to so cover his country with troops for its defense, as that ten thousand men descending from the clouds, might not in many places do an infinite deal of mischief, before a force could be brought together to repel them?”- Benjamin Franklin

History:
Lu Fau was originally born in a Cradle city called Apolon as an only son to Zhiang Fau and Naomi Yi. Both of his parents' family lineage were of a high caste society, but they never relished in that sort of lavish lifestyle. Zhiang Fau was too busy as a conceptual weapons engineer for Nashira, while Naomi was almost always at Regional Apolon Medical center, stuck on hours end performing her duties as a Neurosurgeon. Lu Fau doesn't remember much about those years on Apolon; only that neither of his parents seemed happy at the time. In truth, they were very much concerned about the people down on the Plate Cities, and the hazardous conditions they were exposed to. Despite the irrational scrutiny from their family and friends, they willingly left their comfortable place in the sky and relocated to a Plate City where members of Naomi's distant relatives lived. Zhiang Fau left Nashira on good terms and picked up an engineering job at an air sanitation company, while Naomi worked at a free clinic that specialized in dealing with patients that had varying degrees of pneumoconiosis.
Lu Fau was six at the time, unaware of the huge decision his parents had made, but the Plate kids were quick to inform him in a not-so-courteous fashion. Because of his privileged background, Lu Fau had a rough childhood growing up. With his parents usually tied up with work, it was mainly Uncle Nako who looked after him. Uncle Nako was a service mechanic who also ran a "Junkyard" - slang term for a Frame Dojo, a place where people can practice full immersion and movement with machines. He also ran illegal fights there too. The concept of piloting machines fascinated Lu Fau beyond measure - more so than the actual fighting associated with it. As his uncle's 'unofficial' apprentice, Lu Fau learned everything he could and even trained under Nako's Krav Maga fighting style. This in turn taught the young man discipline; Being surrounded by gear heads and martial artists most of the time enabled Lu Fau to practice his techniques and learn how to pilot frames at the same time. His parents eventually found out what he had been doing and forbid him from entering fights. They did, however, encourage Lu Fau to utilize this skill for good.
This eventually set him on the path to becoming a local law enforcer (much to Uncle Nako's disapproval, though Lu Fau vowed to never crack down on his fights - so long as they were sanctioned). He excelled in his academics, enlisted into the police academy, and became an officer by the age of 21. By age 23, he volunteered to be in his department's SWAT program, passed training, and finished the rest of his law enforcement career as a SWAT officer. It wouldn't be long before Lu Fau stopped to look at the bigger picture and realize the Locust situation wasn't getting any better. He recalled the advice his parents gave him and knew the best way to do good in this world was to face the alien threat head-on and enlist in the United Army. Because of his prior law enforcement experience and age, many cadets looked to him as a mentor. His mental and physical examinations were exemplary, but it was his superb frame marksmanship in long-ranged sniping that earned him the rear guard position.

Robot and Zendric are both accepted (I'll add you into the accepted list in a bit).
Sorry about the inactivity, Path of Exile is eating up my free time. The RP is still accepting and I should have an IC up within the weekend.
Initial IC post is done (not that much is changing from the introductory post in the OP), just going to sleep and I'll check it to make sure there are no problems tomorrow.
