Operation: Dragonskin (Reboot OoC and Registration)

    IC: Operation Dragonskin [Resurrected]

    ---

    You are dead.

When you were alive, you were a soldier. You fought well and valiantly for your life, for your country, for the survival of your very species in a war against an enemy from beyond the stars. But in the end, when you died, there was nothing left of the body. An empty casket was buried. You had gone to a better place. That was what the government wanted your loved ones to believe.

    It was a lie.

    ---

In 2020, the Kora'ai fell from the sky. Their ships had been observed via satellites and telescopes for years. We knew they were there, but it was only then that they chose to arrive. Diplomacy was attempted, but the language barrier proved to be too thick for either side to cross. So humanity left them alone, and were treated in kind. They stayed away from populated areas, and we left them alone. For a while, it worked. But there can be no real diplomacy without communication.

The bombs fell. None of the world's leaders would admit to dropping them; no one dared to. To do so would incur the wrath of the UN. But when they did, the tentative peace that had formed in the intervening months shattered like a laboratory wing made entirely of glass. Humanity and the Drakes, as humans would often call them (see below) went to war. And in spite of Earth's greatest efforts and superior numbers, they were losing, on an impressive scale. In an attempt to more quickly bring an end to the fighting, a group called EXTRA has approached the UN with a proposition. And the UN agreed.

    That's where you come in.

    ---

Not much is known about the organization known only as EXTRA; you can only think of two things. One, they're funded by the highest level of several world governments. Two, they brought you back from the dead. You don't know how, but they did. However, you're no longer entirely yourself. You have been resurrected in the body of a Drake.

The Kora'ai are a bipedal, reptilian sentient species with an uncanny resemblance to what humans would call dragons. In height, they average approximately two and a half meters and have a thick, scaly hide that can withstand most punishment including (but not limited to) low calibre gunfire, temperatures up to and exceeding 300 degrees Celsius, or below -60, and what a human would consider lethal blunt trauma without any form of exterior protection. The scales covering this hide can come in any colour one can imagine. Their faces and jaws are elongated to a point, their muzzles looking almost like beaks at the end. Their hands have four long, taloned digits, including an opposable thumb each. Their digitigrade feet are similarly arranged. The most interesting feature of these sentients by far are the large, leathery wings attached to heavily knotted muscles that act as extra arms and make them capable of self-propelled flight, though their size would argue against it. A long tail allows them to maintain balance while standing, and acts as a rudder during flight.

EXTRA wants you to infiltrate the ranks of the Kora'ai. They want you to send back as much information as possible with regards to tactics and technology. It isn't going to be easy. But they aren't sending you in alone.

    - - - Updated - - -

    Name: Alexander "Sandy" Bridge
    Age: 27
    Gender: Male
Outfit and Rank: Canadian Army, Lieutenant

Appearance/Photograph: Sandy is short, at two hundred thirty centimeters, and comparatively slender next to his peers, but what he lacks in body mass he makes up for in wingspan. His scales are mostly a bright red, with stripes of orange here and there. He insists on carrying his father's wristwatch - which was recovered from the battlefield with his body - on him at all times, though his wrist is somewhat too large for it to fit.

Service Record: Family means everything to Sandy, and has done so ever since he was a boy, when his father gave him something so simple as a watch. That same father was in the World Trade Center when it collapsed a week later. Afterwards, he tried to look after his mother, even as she looked after him; he felt that if he wasn't there, she'd withdraw into her grief, even as he breezed his way through school. Working since sixteen, paid his own way through College for a diploma in Electrical Engineering, finishing the course when he was twenty two. Life moved on. He found a girl, fell in love, got married. Life was good. Even when the Kora'ai first came, he thought nothing of it as he held his firstborn son in his arms. He swore he would never leave his son the same way his father had left him.

It wasn't until the war began that things took a turn for the worse. His mother's health, which had been waning for some time, failed her. And when Parliament Hill burned in what seemed to be a guerrilla strike mere kilometers away from his Ottawa home - as borders mean nothing to a creature who knows nothing of them - Alexander Bridge made the biggest mistake of his life: he enlisted. His skills as an Engineer let him rise considerably more quickly than he would have during peace time, making lieutenant in less than a week. But it all went to hell when they put him in that tank.

The mission was simple; to help the Americans stop or slow the Kora'ai advance. They hadn't been counting on the enemies' weaponry. Mere minutes into the fight, an explosion rocked the armoured vehicle. An electric pulse fried the circuits, rendering it inoperable despite Sandy's best efforts to repair it. The other occupants of the vehicle were quick to make their exit. But whether they stayed would have made no difference when the side of the tank was ripped open by an armour piercing projectile, taking Sandy's chest with it. In the last few moments of his life, Sandy stared at the sun, silently apologizing to whoever would hear that he hadn't kept his promise to his son.

Other: Sandy left behind a loving wife, and growing son; a family that he hopes to be able to see once more when everything is said and done, even in his current condition. He's good with technology, and REALLY loves his toys.

    Name: Kylie Johnson

    Age: 20 turned 21

    Gender: Female

Outfit & Rank: Medical student in training at the U. of A.

Appearance: Kylie stands no taller than six feet and three inches, though she had been that tall before her untimely death; a slightly built masculine frame that shows every muscle with every movement. Forest green scales fade to a grayish green towards her abdomen and where her expanded wings show almost white at the tips. A small silver pendant wraps around her neck, a slight bluish-azure gemstone rests within the pennant.

Biography: Before Kylie's untimely death, she was training towards being a doctor for one reason: to find a cure for amnesia. She had once been a delinquent at the age of fourteen, a druggie at sixteen, but cleaned up her act for the last two years of high school. Kylie needed to change for the better when her father had been diagnosed with amnesia after a accident from mining in Edson, Alberta. Having to change, she tried every day to take care of her dad since he had gotten out of the hospital, taking on a job to pay for food and rent, bringing her studies with her to work.
After graduating high school with a scholarship to the U of A, she had been working there for sometime, brining her dad with her to Edmonton from High Level. She applied for student funding, hoping to get enough to get by on rent and food. She worked hard, made some friends, and went out almost every second month with her friends. However, when she had went out, her friend did not see the green light change as they were t-boned by an SUV, causing her death to be swift, but her friend had lived. The only thing that went through her head was her dad, saying I'm sorry before everything went still.

Personality: Kylie can be a tad ambitious, over react of the smallest this, and tends to be... out of her body at most time.

Other: Having an Amnesiac single dad, she still loved him, her only living relative that she knew.

    ((o3o That good???)

I felt lazy, and if you make me change this, I will eat your babies.

    Name: Ryan Johnson
    Age: 24
    Gender: Male
Outfit and Rank: United States Marine Corps, Sergeant

Appearance/Photograph: Ryan's new drake body stands at a paltry two meters, but is heavily muscled. His scales are all colored a dark emerald color, with lighter scales on his underbelly. Ryan's talons are bone-white.

Service Record: Ryan joined the USMC right out of high school, having been a decent, but not great, student and desiring a good future. He was an above-average soldier, standing out from the common soldier. He was by no means a god of war, but he was worth note. Ryan was THE rifleman of the Marine Corps, however. He was an amazing shot with any two-handed weapon, managing his placement and recoil like a master with decades under his belt. Ryan was assigned to a machine gunner unit when the Kora'ai War began.

Ryan's unit was overwhelmed by the Kora'ai and annihilated during a battle at Parris Island. They were guarding a unit of fresh recruits when the Kora'ai descended. Coming in from the sky, land, and sea, Ryan's outfit knew they only had a short time before reinforcements would arrive, but they would arrive to find corpses, barrels still hot. Ryan's death, in particular, was valorous and gruesome. His gun jammed, the Marine tried to take on a lone Kora'ai in close-quarters combat using his trusty ka-bar. His heart was torn out, still beating, by his opponent, whom he had managed to cut across the wing.

Ryan's a good soldier: loyal, submissive, and confident. He knows when to shut the hell up and listen, and when to take charge when needed. His experience as a squad commander has given him great tactical knowledge in squad-based combat.

Because you don't intend to play a soldier (which is going to be an exception, rather than a rule), Rosary, I'm going to ask that you separate out the History and Personality tabs as would be seen on a normal character sheet. You have a History, now add a personality.

Triple-M: Don't worry about it; I was almost that lazy myself. =P
