Having a weird sort of writer's block, any suggestions?

I know the concepts I want to write, but I'm having difficulty putting words down on paper. I wasn't having this trouble a week ago.

Hmm, is it possible that something is going on in your life that is causing stress at the moment? I found around about 1/2 way through last year things got a little harder for me and it was my writing (both here in the creative zone and for my uni work) which suffered. Of course it could be that you only need a break for a day or two. I find it helps to write down in point/note form what will happen, don't worry at all about the details, just think of them and try to remember them. Then pick the part of the post that stands out to you and start there. Piecing each of the parts back together at the end so they flow can be a chore but it can help to break through the initial barrier. Don't forget to get rid of distractions, no 'oh I'll just check Reddit for a minute' or 'do I have any new emails? I should check' or you'll loose the flow and hit the wall again when you come back. I know this blasted feeling all to well at the moment.

It could be stress or just to much going on in your life for you to be able to think, also if you first get a writer's block it is easy to just obsess over it and that will just make it worse. I would recommend a long, hot warm bath to relax and then make a plan for how to sort things out in your life, or at least start.

Also if you want my New Age advice then creativity, especially creativity that have to do with words like writing have to do with the throat Chakra, light blue affect this Chakra positively and also throat illness and cold can block it. I often use blue calcite crystals to stimulate my throat Chakra and help with creativity, though any light blue stone will work, just remember to cleanse it in a bit of salted water before use. Arguments and anything negative to do with words can also block the throat Chakra so solving such conflict and dealing with them can also be a way to help with writers block from the point of view of the Chakra theory.

It's crazy that you mention throat illness because I caught a throat infection recently. Thanks for the advice, guys. I'll definitely try it out. I was very distracted and constantly checking stuff. Outlining sounds like a good idea, and it will help me know where I'm going to in the post.

Just muscle through it. If it comes out bad, as it probably will; rewrite it and rewrite it till you get it write.

Or, after you've plowed through it you might find that you're able to write other scenes and come back to this later when you have a fresh perspective. Might find it easier to write down the road.

That is good advice, fake it until you make it, and often in forum RPGs the GM and other players will rather have a somewhat bad post from their fellow player than for them to just not post, a somewhat bad post at least keep the game moving and then you will probably be able to write good posts again if you just keep at it.
