The aftermath of the market raid had left everyone in a state of confusion. Lionel and his enforcers had just left the market section and had entered the lifts only to realise that they weren’t working. “Had the people of the slums locked down the lifts blocking their escape?” Lionel thought to himself.
“Everyone set up defensive positions we’re gonna have to sit tight! Someone try and get communications up with HQ!” Lionel ordered with haste. He grasped the masked man tightly by the collar. “They were most likely after him” he thought to himself.
Scccreeeeech!!!!! A sharp noise broke out into all of the underground. It was the underground announcement system.
“Good evening, scrubs of Siren city” the announcement system echoed.
The announcement continued “My name is Doctor Hugo and from this moment on I’d like you all to set aside some time from your worthless lives to take part in my experiment.... I have locked down the entire underground… You cannot escape… You’re probably wondering why? Well… within these mazing tunnels I have released numerous subjects infected with a new virus I’m attempting to perfect. Their objective is simple; they will try to hunt you, kill you or infect you. Your objective is just as simple, your object is to survive.”
Within moments screams broke out within the entire underground. Confusion and chaos spread like wild fire. One by one the infected creatures jumped out of the darkness and into the streets of the market slums. They howled with a deafening scream and began violently ripping anyone they caught to shreds.
Lionel and his enforcers were on edge; no one on his team had their protective suits besides from himself. For the first time in a long time…. Lionel felt a familiar feeling… He felt fear.
It was truly a nightmare.
OOC: I've posted up some info about the infected in the OOC thread.

With the announcement disrupting DV and Violet's conversation, DV quickly made a decision,
"Argh! Fine you stay here I'm going on ahead" DV shouted and sped off in the opposite direction.
At this point, DV was a bit glad he in the enforcer's suit in this situation and wasn't fazed at all by the recent absurd announcement as his evolved thoughts allowed him to adapt quickly.
However although in the suit, he has yet to know the 'infected' capabilities and decided to take evasive and defensive action. Using the enforcer suit's HUD, he switched on the heat-seeking radar to identify all nearby people. Quickly analysing his surroundings he didn't seem to spot anyone of any threat besides Lionel's retreating force.
After seeing this, DV decided to turn off his heat-seeking vision so that he could see colour again more clearly. Seeing a nearby building in the underground, DV was able to see that it was possibly one of the safest locations for now and so decided to take refuge there until something happens.
With the enforcer's suit, DV opened the door to where Sin was staying.
After walking through a series of passages, alleyways and down sewer lines, the mysterious spiky haired man had lead Hayden into a brick room to what appeared to be a large old mining elevator covered in rust.
"Are you sure that is safe to go down?" Hayden asked kicking the metal screen door.
"Hey, hey! stop that," the man called, pulling the boy away from the elevator, "sure it is mate, if ya would stop doing that, this is my secret passage and only a few people other than myself know it. Sure risky and it could break any time, but hey, a secret passage is a sure way escape from any drama that happens down there."
The man pressed the button with an arrow pointing down, a eerie red glow emitted from the button. They stood there waiting for the compartment to come. Screeches and sound of clashing metal echoed through the room. Hayden looked over at the man, he began to whistle casually.
Ding ding ding! It was here. The man pulled open the metal screen and entered.
"Are you coming or what? Too scared to find out the truth?"
Hayden walked in carefully, looking down at his feet, making sure that the elevator wouldn't collapse on him. It was safe...enough.
The man pulled shut the metal gate and pressed the button, "eight", Hayden read quietly to himself. The eerie noises continued of metal pieces scrapping against each other. He hugged his satchel tightly as they descended down the shaft.
Ding ding dingggg! The elevator shaft rung. It was mere seconds and they were there, Underground Level 8, where the man apparently knew where the people who could have sent Hayden's presents were.
The man opened the metal screen and the two got out. "Follow me, we'll go visit my friends, they should know where your parents or whatever are", the man said smiling.
Hayden followed the man without a word, something was up, the man seemed happier when he reached the floor, either he's happy to be home or something is off. Hayden had also noticed that the man had been eyeing Hayden's satchel for quite a while.
The man lead Hayden around a corner and there stood three other men, all two heads taller than Hayden. Hayden turned around to check what was going on, only to bump into his "friend". There he stood smiling, breaking out to a twisted laugh.
"Ha, I didn't think you would fall for that."
"What?" Hayden said confused, hugging his satchel tighter.
"Do you believe that I would help you?"
"You lied to me..?"
"No, that I did not, I told you the truth, I know where the researchers are, and my family was killed, I said I would take you to where they were, they're down here somewhere", he said mocking Hayden, "and I did say, it is a dog eat dog world, and today, you're the smaller dog."
"No, no !" Hayden cried as the men slowly surrounded him.
"I've been observing you, following that man and his vehicle the moment you entered the city. I can tell that you're new to this - you cant even control your powers. Your powers are acid based, but seems like they only work on touch."
Hayden started breathing heavier. "I can't die here, I can't, I won't!" he thought to himself, as the darkness crept across his body. His eyes turned bright purple and his skin became pitch black. The men stepped back.
"Hah, don't worry men, I'll handle this, my fireballs will incinerate him. Gotta make sure I don't destroy that satchel though."
With a click of the man's fingers, the fireballs in what he had experienced earlier had appeared again.
"Stay back men, I got this", the man said cunningly as the fireballs closed in slowly as the men did before.
"No! No! Stop it!" Hayden cried, closing his eyes, hoping it won't hurt. "Fast and painless."
Scccreeeeech!!!!! A sharp noise broke out into all of the underground. It was the underground announcement system.
The fireballs stopped approaching the boy. The spiky hair man and his men looked around confused.
“Good evening, scrubs of Siren city”, an eerie voice chuckled.
It was silent, the tense situation between the boy and the thugs, life and death, had been cut right in half by the Doctor Hugo - a maniac apparently. Hayden sat there listening to the announcement. He could barely make out anything, distracted by the bright balls of flames right in front of him. "...project...lock down...cannot escape...infected..zzz...virus...hunt...you..down. " Within a split second of the announcement ending, it was pure chaos.
The men looked over to Hayden, staring at him, the boy closed his eyes. He couldn't do anything, nothing at all, he knew that he was mere seconds away from death. He could feel the heat from the fireballs mere inches away from his face. Hayden's lips dried up instantaneously, it was close, it was so close against his face, he could feel his eye balls drying out, his eyelids singeing.
It was gone. The burning sensation was gone. Was he dead? So this is how heaven must of felt like, he thought. The feeling was gone, but he could hear things, strange things.
He opened his eyes, they were gone. His skin was back to its normal colour. The thugs were gone, his bag still next to him. The announcement must of been enough to scare them off, the thought cheerfully, tears rolling off his face.
And then he noticed, Hayden heard screams and heard cries of some creature that he had never heard before. It was dark, all he could see is the distant glow of the burning fires in the distance. This was no situation for him sit and cry, he had the leave. He quickly stood up and grabbed his satchel. His mind echoed "must get out of here" over and over again. He didn't know what direction he came from, he knew that he had to get back to that elevator, he had to try.
He ran back around the corner and there stood before him, a maze of buildings which he had not remember - a whole difference facade in the dark - making it nearly impossible to escape. Gavain was right, this place was a hell hole.
Elliot walked through the slums with his hands in his pockets, sticking to the dark parts of the streets so he isn't seen. He normally wouldn't care where he walked but since people like him have been getting captured, he tried to make sure he wasn't seen. This city was practically a hellhole ever since Self-Augmented people were being hunted down like animals. He work a black v-neck shirt with black skinny jeans, and some high top converse. He was your typical punk style kid but with a bit of a preppy edge. Making his way to the markets, he heard the announcement, making him tense up for a moment. After it was done, all he could hear was screams and chaos. "Fuck my life." He looked all around the Market area and it had become pitch black with nothing but screams and screeches from those things they let loose. Elliot clutched his boyfriend's dog tags and started running in alleyways and phasing through buildings and brick walls to keep away from the streets. Although somehow, he managed to get disoriented and was now outside again. Turning around and looking for somewhere to hide, he managed to bump into something. He looked up and it was one of those infected creatures. "Shit." The thing let out a piercing screech and lunged at Elliot, him phasing through it just in time and taking out one of his switch blades, slashing it at the Achilles tendon. He knew it wouldn't do much since it probably would heal. But it just gave him enough time to run through an alleyway and wait it out.
Lionel gripped his shield and pistol closely as he made his way into the markets. “Stay close. Eyes open” Lionel whispered to his enforcers. It was their job to keep the city safe and protect the innocent. If any of these creatures found their way to the surface, it would be chaotic. He had to stop them.
Screeeeeeeeech!!!!
The deafening noise turned Lionel’s attention in front of him. It crawled on all fours ready to pounce, its mouth covered in saliva and blood. “In front! There’s one!” Lionel pointed out to his enforcers.
Just as they were about to shoot the the high pitched sound echoed from all directions around Lionel and his men. A shiver went down Lionel’s spine. They were surrounded. “OPEN FIRE!” Lionel ordered as he began to shoot at the closest monster he could see. They were quick, strong and vicious. “AARRRGHHH!” screamed an enforcer as he was torn to shreds.
“Everybody into the building!” Lionel ordered as he ran to the building on his right. “Defensive positions! Use the doors and windows as choke points! Kill anything that comes in!”
As the enforcers ran to their positions the monsters jumped into the building from any opening they could. They were faster than Lionel had realised. Without their suits the enforcers were torn to shreds in an instant. Lionel watched in horror as blood painted the room. Their screams gurgled.
Lionel was alone.
He was surrounded.
OOC: it'd be good if you guys started meeting up with one another.

Violet climbed down from the room her and DV had been standing in after the announcement. She noticed the enforcers being pushed into a building and blood splattering the walls. People ran by in a rush ,but Violet couldn't pay attention to that. She had to make a decision. Save the enforcers that were left ,or leave them to die. 'People deserve to be trusted' Rang through her mind. Without a second thought Violet started running towards the building. She pushed and shoved people out of the way while she headed to the back door. Thankfully the monsters were still pre-ocupied with some of the enforcers and passers by to notice Violet ,so she slipped through to an ally way unharmed. entering through an old wooden door Violet found herself in a narrow hallway. Running down a few corners Violet entered a room full of monsters. A single enforcer stood a bit in front of her. 'Lets hope he's not the most loyal' Violet thought running in front of him as a Monster was about to pounce.
Violet extended her hand looking deep into the monsters eyes. A white light glowed from Violet's hand and the monster seemed to be in a trance. The light left Violet's hand and entered the monster's eyes. The monster turned and started to attack it's comrades. It thrashed at their faces and legs. Killing one with a single blow. The monsters surrounding it turned their attention away from Violet and the enforcer ,and to the now traitor among them.
Within a second Lionel grasped the situation. He turned his gun towards the self-augmented girl, she was a criminal and he was the law. Conflicting thoughts crossed his mind, she had saved him but she was still a criminal. He had to make a quick decision so he decided to trust her for now. He holstered his gun and put his shield on his back. He swiftly picked up a grenade from his fallen enforcer, activated it and threw it into the group of monsters.
“We need to get out of here!” He shouted to the girl as he made for the window.
She had helped him and he felt in debt to her.

Elliot waited in the alleyway, hearing sentinels nearby being massacred by those things. He tried to keep his breathing low so he would attract them to where he was at. He wasn't too worried seeing that very few things can actually inflict harm on him. Squatting low, he looked all around for a way he could possibly escape. However the underground was under lockdown so he really couldn't go anywhere. Just then he felt something cold hit his shoulder. Elliot looked over and made a disgusting face and saw what looked to be saliva. He froze for a minute then looked up, seeing one of the infected clinging to a wall above him, staring down. "Oh my god, really?" The thing screeched and lunged at Elliot. Acting on instinct, he phased inside of the nearest building, barely dodging the creature. Breathing hard, he looked around to see if anyone was inside. Crouching down low, he made his way towards the back, away from windows so he couldn't be spotted. "This is some BS," he muttered.
Violet climbed out the window after him. She left her monster minion to do her bidding. jumping into another alleyway she looked at her surroundings determining the quickest way out. "This way" Violet exclaimed pointing toward an iron ladder at the end of the alleyway. She ran to the ladder and started to climb it cold handles. A crash that came from behind once they were about half way up the ladder informed Violet that her possession had worn off.The monster looked around the alleyway and then up at Violet. It Screech bits of saliva spewing out it's large mouth. The creature started to scale the side of a building headed towards Violet and the enforcer.
