Fate/Scheme Naive (An Alternate Grail War RP)

So the last time I tried to run something like this it wound up grinding to a halt. Hopefully a second try at 1-on-1 will work out better. As you might imagine from the title, what I'm trying to put together is a 1-on-1 roleplay within the Nasuverse, about an alternate grail war. The gist of what I had planned was that at the same time as the Fate route of F/SN, a group of magi unrelated to the three founding families had secretly established a replica of the grail war outside of Japan by piecing together what they knew about the ritual. We'd be playing two of the participants in that war, a magi and a Servant team. It's not super important, but I'd like to get some sort of romantic subplot going between the two as well.

I would be taking the role of GM, controlling the NPCs and generally directing the happenings of the plot. That being said, the character interactions of the two main characters would be a very central part of the RP; and the plot would mainly serve to put them through their paces so that they can be developed without awkward exposition. My main goal of doing this as a 1-on-1 as opposed to the many free-for-alls I've seen in Casual and Advanced is so that it can focus on the 'Main' team. Although ostensibly there's no reason for them to be stronger, acknowledging the main characters lets the story actually reach a conclusion without devolving into players fighting with no one wanting to let their characters die. With something like the grail war, for progress to be made, people need to die, which is why this might work better with 6 NPC teams and 1 PC team, as opposed to 7 PC teams.

I'd like it to be fairly arc based, with each 'chapter' focusing on one or two of the opposing teams.

Familiarity with the setting is a must. If you've never seen any of the anime or played the VN, this is not the RP for you.

Like I said in the first post, we'd be playing in a 'fake' war put together by other magi who've made a replica of the system; so the actual plot of Fate/stay night isn't that important, more an understanding of the lore.
Anyways, great to hear you're interested.

It occurs to me that I never specified what I'd expect in regards to frequency and quality of posts. I'd be hoping for about 1 post every 1-to-2 days, at least two paragraphs long. Ideally it should fit in around high-casual, but I understand that during conversations and the like it might not be great to have long internal monologues just to fill space when we could just be having a conversation. All in all though I won't be able to do many rapid posts in a night, so conversations won't be single lines of dialogue in succession.
