Story

So as I was saying... New York, NY. 2013. You're a young sorcerer with certain powers, some of you more different than others in many ways. But nonetheless... powers. I've been watching you all since the day you got out of the hospital, creepy, I know. But I've been waiting to see how prepared you are, if you're prepared or not and if you're ready for the oncoming war. Selfish and troublesome people are at the helm, people I used to call my own brothers and sisters. They're called the Parliament of Bloodharth. They come from another planet, one that I used to call home. They're going back in time to set what you may think of as restore points, only they unravel Earth's energy throughout time to fuel a machine that was supposed to be powered during a war... but was stopped by me and... people I knew a long time ago but are now dead.

But now is not the time to explain it. Not until we finally all meet face to face. You will do as I instruct as soon as you recieve my messages and under no circumstances are you to ignore them or warn anyone else. Do you understand?

Believe me... I can help you. Harness these powers... they may make you realize that there's something more to your life like you had always wondered. Maybe you're frightened and scare out of your wits, but I could help you realize that you're safe. Maybe I could help you control them only to never use them again. The point is you need my help and I need your help. And I know who you are... I understand all of you while no one else does. I want you to take a deep breath and collect your thoughts. Who you are, where you came from, what powers you've been showing. Do you think you could do that?

• This is PG-13, so a little swearing here and there with some make-outs and bloody noses are alright, but lets not make any soccer nuns cover their twenty-year-old son's eyes here.

Abilities/Powers

Conjurer

You are a Conjurer. You feed off the shadows and dark energy in order to create false entities. Sometimes you might create them out of certain materials you find nearby such as fire or stone. You'll start off small... and by small, I mean summoning small entities, but eventually you'll grow in power and your summonings will grow in size. They say people of your power even had the ability to summon a portal to other places. But that's for you to find out, isn't it?

Dreamweavers

When you think of lucid dreaming, you think of someone controlling their dreams in order to get rid of scary monsters and replace them with flying. There was a power that my people harnessed that was only minored, not even perfected nor ever will be. That was the power to bend the laws of physics and change the world in a literal meaning. You could fly and turn a room upside down... and you could push a man back without even touching him. Pretty cool, isn't it? Well... you're wrong. Dreamweaving is a very hard thing to take control of... and it requires delicate attention. That's why you have me, right?

Psychologists

Psychology... oh, you probably think this is just some crappy little power of heart type thing or some Frasier Crane bunk. No, no, no... you see, you have the power to get inside people's minds. Use them for good or bad. But I'm gonna teach you to use them for good... but be warned... I might have to teach you the bad aspects too. You can control people with this power. Make them believe in dirty little lies, make them relive horrible memories, cause them to hallucinate to buy some time in escaping. Don't underestimate it...

Elementalists

You've probably heard of this in your little Dungeons and Dragons game. Someone who can control the elements... and usually, its 'limited' in your video games because then you'd be cheating or something. But that's not the case here... you can control any element. Earth, wind, fire and any other mo-town group. Summoning rainstorms and earthquakes... in my experience, Elementalism is the hardest to master since it comes with so many illnesses and injuries. Its like learning to rollerskate, y'know.

Healers

Healing... the most caring and gentlest of people... and also the most damaged. Healers grow in performance over time, starting from simple bike bruises and graduating to poisonous infections. Why, even some of the greatest healers repair emotional damage with enough effort. Healers can use the power of life to attack others too, such as carnivorous plants or entangling vines. We call it the gardening of the sorcery world!

I'm sorry for the crappy OOC, guys! I see a lot of OOC's out here with some pretty cool fonts and shit, even with banners hand-drawn by the OP. Alas, I am not one of these people. I'll be working on a CS for my own student, whilst I'll reveal my character's personality/background throughout the roleplay.

Only thing that's available for now is he has the appearance of Robert Downey Junior. Because why the hell not? I've always imagined him as a sorcerer. I'm still waiting for him to come out in a movie about magic too.

Personality/Background:Very passive not quick to pick a fight or go looking for trouble,short tempered though but always enjoys a good laugh,otherwise very friendly.
Jared grew up in NYC never really had anybody to turn to both his parents were never really home always out doing god knows what so he had to learn to fend for himself, he discoverd what he could do at age 15 when he started smoking, he was walking home from a friends house after ditching school as he often did, while playing with his lighter all of a sudden the flame drew to the plam of his hand, he left it by telling himself it was the wind but when he got home hr tried again but this time instead of the flame just pulling to his palm it drew away from the lighter and formed a perfect ball in is hand after that day he kept practicing leaving himself with alot of scares and blemishes all over his arms and chest.
At age 18 both his parents died in a fatal car crash and from that day on his been on his own stealing and doing whatever els he must to pay rent and put food in his stomach

Appearance:Jared is short for his age standing at about 5'1,but is still unsettling to some because of his peercing grey eyes that has a way of seeming like his looking through you, he weighs 129lbs usually wears a black or white T-shirt and paggy black jeans with old kinda worn out sneakers,and has long vivid black hair that spends most of its time hanging in his face his best quality is his smile.

Name: Miles Rapture

Gender: Male

Age: 16

Personality: Miles is usually uncomfortable. Nothing can really change that. He doesn't like it when people stand too close or talk too loudly. He tends to shy away from people nowadays because he's afraid of what he might accidentally do. He's slightly paranoid, always checking for anything that could be remotely dangerous. Despite all this, Miles can handle himself—and pain—quite well. He's responsible enough to get the job done and he is never more comfortable than when someone tells him to do something, but only if it makes logical sense.

Background: When Miles was 18 months old and didn't have to say a word to get what he wanted from his parents, his parents knew something was going on. They took him to doctors to see if there was anything wrong with his development. But the doctors told them that he quite probably knew how to speak, he simply chose not to. His parents became more worried when he entered preschool and kindergarten without speaking, despite how hard the teachers tried. But everyone always knew what Miles needed or requested.

As Miles grew older, he spoke more. He didn't really need to, but it was expected of him and so he conformed. He started placing thoughts less and less. By the time he was 12, Miles had all but forgotten about the very idea.

But then he was 15, and he got into a fight with one of the bullies at school. When the bully was writhing on the grass screaming, Miles was pulled into the principal's office and suspended, despite there being witness reports of Miles never even touching the kid. Even Miles didn't know what was going on anymore. And he was afraid of himself. He was afraid he would hurt more people. So he quickly packed a bag, left a note in explanation, and hopped on the next bus to far far away.

Age: 14

Gender: Male

Power: Healer

Personality: Jack is ultimately a child at heart. His sarcastic quips and comments tend to be disrespectful and also get the better of him, but he means well. Despite what he's been through, he's been in and out, coming back not in jail. Often he's subject to small fits of depression if something bad happened recently, but his mood also is influenced by the moods of those around him. His anger is often held back and when others argue around him, he may lash out. For some reason, he also comments at times that he loves bar fights. He shows more self-restraint in sharing his true opinion of things sometimes, and often this tends to backlash and (metaphorically) slap him in the face.

Appearance: Black hair, green eyes, multiple small scars running down his back and legs at times. Muscles are 'ok', enough to hold up his weight in climbing or otherwise. Quick, agile, but not a totally athletic boy.

Background: Jack has lived a life of running and thievery. Since he was brought to an orphanage as an infant, he always stuck out as a sore thumb. As he grew up through the years in that same orphanage, he was put through bullying and abusing. Through it all, he held a unnatural endurance, and when he had the chance, he ran away from the orphanage, taking a hefty amount of books as his only friend. Jack lived in New York, where he steals and fences just to make a living for himself. He never sought to hurt anyone and only stole the things he needed to just barely make a living. He has shown, through his experiences, he never wanted to hurt anyone. As he doesn't take and sell as much as he should, he is left hungry a large amount of times before he sleeps. Though, one time, he accidentally hurt a man through a knife wound as the man got too close for comfort. Jack immediately regretted hurting the man and tried to help him. Unknowingly, he managed to heal the wound just enough so that the man could survive without losing the large amount of blood he could have lost otherwise. When the ambulance arrived, he was gone. He later heard the man was 'okay', and Jack later packed his things up for the long road ahead of him. He didn't want to stay in New York anymore. Jack was tired of stealing things and getting in trouble.

Personality/Background:
She was orphaned at the young age of 5. She remembers her parents and grandparents who died during the fever when it came to their town. She always wanted to heal people since then. When she was older, she studied any book that had any kind of medicine in it. Of course the only ones that she was able to find were herbal ones. When she was just turning thirteen, she somehow healed a small bird with a broken wing. She began to concentrate on various ways of healing until in frustration the nuns found a place for her to go.

Other: Liadain is very shy and an introvert. She can make friends after she is sure of true friendship. She also plays a harmonium which is one of the few family heirlooms that she has. Other things are a traveling desk and a trunk with her baby dolls, clothes, tea set, ect from her childhood. She has one other trunk which is a void type trunk that can hold everything that she owns. She does not realize that she has potential for void magic and at the moment is not interested at in it except for being able to put all of her things in one trunk.
