Scott Pilgrim:Precious Little Role-Play

Who better to recreate the world of Scott Pilgrim then the Role-players? The idea of this thread is rather simple. It's a group of friends, and their interactions with each other, except you throw in a bit of gamer knowledge and crazy powers here and there. I am hoping to get some moderately active players, who know how to put themselves into the stories of others. I need characters that are original, and probably somewhat exaggerated. Not to say that they shouldn't have a realistic aspect to them also. This is supposedly the real world. This role-play should be playful and fun. We don't need super serious plots and characters, unless they're super serious characters and somehow you make that comedic. Anyway, what are you thinking? Are you ready for an action packed comedy coming to your computer screens soon?

Plot
You have recently joined Joystick a club for all gamers. Joystick accepts all people from ages 18 and up ,and meets on Mondays,Wednesdays,and Fridays at the local library from six to eight. You might have come along with a friend ,or seen one of the many posters around town. None the less something keeps bringing you back.

How did you come across Joystick: Joplin started it.
Sing me the song of your people: Joplin is a happy go lucky kind of woman. She spends her life pursuing joy on every front. Joplin doesn't waste time with people she doesn't enjoy the company of, and she doesn't stay in situations that don't suit her. Her world is about everything that is beautiful and fun! She's the kind of person to actually do things when she says "wouldn't it be cool if we?"
Cool story bro tell it again: Joplin always lead a relatively normal life. Her parents were strict, but kind and forgiving. They loved her. She had two siblings, both brothers. She was the youngest. Joplin always idolized her brothers, and through most of her life she was a bit of a tom boy. She had always been blessed with an internal fire and zest for life that was a part of her no one could change. Joplin walked through her childhood wanting to climb every mountain and taste every flavor of the world. As she grew older, she became more defined in herself. Her internal flame became what defined her, not her desire to transcend traditional gender roles. The desire was a consequence of the flame, as was everything else she did. Joplin made sure to refer back to that part of her that asked, will this make me happy? It was the most important question. She went to school as an art student, and eventually decided that she wanted to write manga. Inspiration was everywhere, but most prominently in the work of other artists. Video games and comics became an obsession for Joplin, simply because the amount of creative work that went into them was astounding to her. She learned to appreciate them in a way she never did before. Joplin created Joystick Club as a meeting ground for anyone and everyone that shared that same love, so that she could meet with them and bounce ideas off of them... maybe find some inspiration. Couldn't hurt, right?

How did you come across Joystick~ Saw a poster, was interested, went.
Sing me the song of your people~Sy is, like his nickname suggests, a SyFy nerd, always hoping to leave this puny planet and travel among the stars with Captain Kirk. He is very smart, but is very lazy. His fighting skill comes to him from protecting himself from the "bullies" of highschool. When he is comfortable around you, he becomes a fun guy, with lots of nerd references in his jokes.
Cool story bro tell it again~(Biography) Sy grew up alone. His parents gone all the time, he stayed with a nanny or baby-sitter, at age 10, they said "Your old enough to live here alone". They gave him a check each month, and from there, he lived alone. Sy started to like nerd stuff, in about 6th grade, a year after his parents left him, when watching an old Japanese cartoon on TV. From there it started, he watched all he could, new, old, weird, he did it all. He watched start-trek, start-wars, played video games, etc. and he grew into the man he is know. He graduated college, and got a job programming for a 3rd rate software company, and stays in a crappy apartment, a perfect life for a bachelor like Sy.

How did you come across Joystick: Coop's normal route home brings him right by the Joystick meetings. Being the curious soul he is, he had to investigate. Upon entering the door he was handed a flyer explaining just what Joystick was. Being ultra-cool a gamer nerd, he's been hooked ever since.
Sing me the song of your people: Cooper can come across as a bit brash to those he doesn't know. If an individual is brave enough to fight past his witty remarks, they'll find that Coop is very loyal to the friends that he doesn't have. He can be a thinker, and tends to spend more time thinking about what to say rather than saying it.

Cool story bro tell it again: Cooper's childhood was exceedingly dull. No angsty dysfunctional family stories to share. On his nineteenth birthday he found a rat hole of an apartment, and with the stipulation that he go to college, his parents would pay the rent and utilities. He has yet to start college, and is running out of time before they cut him off from the money.

Weapon of your choice: Coop chose sword proficiency in Grade 5.

I was attempting to aim more at the manga where all the characters look a bit younger drawn. I agree now that I look at it again. I will get to updating that. Thanks for the feedback.
