    Fuck yeah, Superheroes IC

It was a good start to a hopefully as good day. Jabiko awoke to find that the spot on the pillow next to him, where Zinzie typically nested, was vacant. He groggily climbed out of bed and got dressed, attacking his black mane with a brush before leaving the one bedroom of his small apartment and venturing into the living room/kitchen. Zinzie was scurrying across the kitchen counter, cooking what looked like a big surprise breakfast. When he spotted his father, he gave a happy 'chirrrrrrr'.

Jabiko smiled as he sat in his usual chair. In front of him was a giant pancake on a plate, with the words "Good morning Dad" sloppily written across it in syrup. Jabiko couldn't help but feel his heart warm and a grin spread across his face. Zinzie could a cute little fucker when he wanted to be. The larva scurried onto the table, a second plate with a smaller pancake on it held between his front legs. He set it down and grasped the syrup bottle to begin drowning it.
"Not too much," Jabiko said, remembering what happened when the grub ate too much sugar. Zinzie chirped at him and set the bottle down, then began his rein of terror on his pancake. Jabiko read the paper as he ate his own breakfast. Surprisingly, Zinzie was a fairly good little chef. After breakfast, he helped cleaned up the dishes, and Zinzie's face, and got ready for work. His uniform consisted of black pants, a white shirt, and an apron that read "Good Joe's Coffee House" on the logo. And of course, he had to take on his human form before walking out the door. He gave his grub a loving pat on the head and a fatherly "Stay out of trouble."

Jabiko didn't own a car, so he had to walk about a block and half to work each morning. It wasn't too bad. He liked to get out and see how the humans lived their lives. Even after 3 and a half migrations on this planet, he was still taken away by how different the society was. In this particular country, slavery was outlawed, work was regulated to be safe and fair, and everyone was given an equal opportunity at success. Somehow, not many of the humans seemed to fully appreciate that. Jabiko supposed that one would have to have been on the other side of the fence to know when they had a good thing.

The coffee house could be smelled from several doors down. The fresh brewing grinds and the smell of hot muffins was enticing to even the nose of an alien. Many humans drank this stuff every morning, and he could see why. Jabiko walked in the door and greeted his coworkers with a smile. He was well known among his peers as a friendly guy with a good word ethic. They would have never in a million years suspected him to be from another planet. But then again, that was probably because most humans didn't believe in aliens.

Farren awoke that morning to the maid lifting the blinds in her room and tossing the curtains to the side. Farren groaned, rolling over in her bed and burying her face. She mumbled some unappreciative words because of the unwelcome wake up call, before turning over to see the maid leaving. “It’s summer… I don’t have school you know!” she called out before the door closed. The girl sighed heavily, not much of a morning person as she rubbed her eyes and blinked a few times. Her vision went in and out, bringing the room closer and further away until they adjusted. She was used to it by now, but it still didn’t help the slightly queasy feeling it gave her sometimes.

Crawling out of bed, she ran her fingers through her long mane of blonde waves that reached all the way down her back before getting to her closet. She planned on going shopping today to possibly find something she could crime fight in. It sounded silly when she said it out loud to herself, but in her head she was determined to not chicken out. “Don’t be a pansy, Farren,” she scolded herself as she brought out a pair of blue skinny jeans and loose, sheer white top. She grabbed a black cami to wear under the sheer top and quickly got dressed. She never forgot to put on a little makeup as well, with some large bangle bracelets and diamond stud earrings. “There,” she smiled happily, much more awake after her morning ritual.

Farren bounced downstairs, her hair flouncing behind her as she smiled brightly. Her parents might have been in the house, she wasn’t sure. She just didn’t care. She grabbed her favorite name brand slouchy brown bag and headed out the door. Her parents had gotten her a mini cooper for her birthday when she was 16, just like she’d asked, and she pulled out of the driveway in it to head for her daily morning coffee. She slipped her favorite large eyed sunglasses on and yawned, driving almost too courteously as she let everyone go twice before she actually went.

Farren pulled into the coffee shop she went to every morning and parked as far away from the door as possible. After all, she was young and healthy and there were a lot of people needing the closer spaces more than her. She got in line to order, politely smiling whenever someone rudely cut in front of her. Some made an excuse like they were late for work, others just seemed to not see her and nudge her back. She gave a nervous smile and placed her sunglasses on top of her head, not wanting to cause a problem. Once she reached the counter after what seemed like forever, she said her name that they never seemed to spell right, and ordered a vanilla latte before beginning to wait patiently as people all around her sighed heavily, waiting for their coffee.

A gunshot rang out and the body dropped."HOW THE HELL AM I SUPPOSE TO START MY BUSINESS IF YOU GUYS CAN'T DO ONE THING RIGHT?!" Vaas shouted ",I asked you to go and rob one bank, one insignificant bank and you even manage to screw that up. I'd shoot all of you if I could but I need someone to replace this bag of meat." Vaas pointed his gun at the lifeless corpse.
"YOU!" he said ",Take that body away and make sure it won't be found or I'll put a bullet through your head next." The goon nodded and obeyed like a scared child, quickly running out with the body to dispose of it somewhere secluded.
Vaas hated them all. He only had this small group of men around to help start the money flow of his operations. He was a long way from his island, his paradise where he could of done all that he wanted with anyone. Could of buried someone in the sand and make their head dance like a bobblehead for his amusement with using an old car battery. Now he had to sit and wait before he could get back to the things he loved doing. Now with this failed bank robbery by these idiots he had to start watching his back again. Oh well at least he could torture some of his men if need be to appease his anger. They were all sheep to him, weak and easily replaceable with more sheep.

Peter had waken much earlier. He had waited for the girl he had saved from the mafia last night to wake up. He felt it was his job to help them get back to their family and make sure they weren't mentally harmed. Unlike him. He put his hand through his ginger hair it was messed up from the fight he had, had last night. His t-shirt was stained with dried blood which covered the face of an 80s glam rocker. Eventually the girl woke up. Scared she crawled back against the wall before shouting 'get back!'. Peter knew what was going on, she thought he had bought her. He lifted his mask from beside him showing her the ripped rabbit which she recognized, her saviour. She quickly ran and hugged him. Something not all of the girls do. After an hour of explaining what had happened and giving a lecture on what not to do Peter had given her a set of clothes that he kept spare as most of the girls were stripped down to their undergarments for show. He drove her home in his Delorean(be jealous). She thanked him again before running off to her house.

He sat for a moment in his car. Staring at his hand on the driving wheel. He snapped out of it and rolled down the window. He watched all of the people go about their business before a waft of scent hit him in the face. The scent was that of no other, food and drinks awaited him and his grumbling stomach. He drove forward a little bit before spotting the shop. He sat, staring at the cashier for a bit before getting out of his car. The coolest part about the Deloreans was the doors, they opened upwards instead of outwards. He pressed a button on his car keys and the car locked. He made his way into the shop, looking to all the people in it. A lot of the people were writers like he was except they were trying to make a name for themselves, something that Peter had done accidentally. He walked up to the cashier before getting in line for his order. He took his wallet from his pocket a novelty item from the film Pulp fiction it read 'Bad Mother Fucker' on it just as the wallet in the film had done. He took out 2 $10 notes hoping it would be enough.

Jabiko was happily going about his job. An order came in for a vanilla latte, for the girl that came in almost every morning. It was hard not to recognize faces after a while. Jabiko loved to chat with his customers, learn about them other than the coffee they drank. The knowledge he gained by being friendly in turn helped him function in their society. He learned that being polite and complimenting people could earn him bigger tips. He has also learned that the females weren't very good tippers. Someone had told him that flirting with the customers worked like a charm, but Jabiko apparently had done it wrong the first time he tried. Apparently, the males didn't like it when other males hit on them. Most humans had this weird thing where they were only attracted to the opposite sex.

Jabiko took the freshly made latte and brought it out to the girl who had ordered it. He handed it off with a kind smile and a "Here you go, ma'am." His bright red eyes were cheerful and genuine, unlike most of his coworkers who forced their happy appearance. Jabiko then went back behind the counter to fill more orders. He overheard the girl at the register tell a man who had just walked in that he had a nice car. Curious, Jabiko peeked out the front window at it. It was hard to judge what humans considered 'nice vehicles' when none of them flew. Jabiko had himself a sporty little spacecraft hidden just outside the city, should he ever need to use it.

Farren glanced up as one of the workers brought her coffee right to her. She smiled slowly, but happily, always finding it a little jarring whenever they just called out her name to come pick it up so this was a nice surprise. “Thank you,” she nodded sincerely, finding his red eyes a little unnerving, but not in a particularly bad way. He did seem quite nice, after all. “Oh!” she said softly, almost forgetting as she pulled out a $20 and tucked it into the tip jar by the counter. She knew it was a little outrageous, but honestly didn’t care. If she was going to spend her parents money on something, she’d rather it be other people than herself.

She turned with her latte and found a table to sit at, pushed against a cushioned chair. Her smile she already had broadened as she plopped into the chair, her legs hanging over one arm with her back leaned against the other arm. She set her vanilla latte on the little table and pulled out her phone, beginning to search for the different stores in the area. She definitely needed something specific. Part of her wanted to go leather catsuit like a catwoman vibe, but she didn’t have the self confidence to pull off the skin tight look. Perhaps she could even find something interesting at a thrift shop. As she was scrolling, drinking, and thinking, she glanced up as a few people admired some car outside. Farren craned her neck, but could barely see whatever vehicle they were talking about. She shrugged it off, having seen plenty of nice vehicles in her lifetime, and instead wondered if she knew who was driving it. Her parents had lots of rich friends who could drive a head turning car after all.

Peter turned to the girl who had complimented his car saying hardly anything to her other than
"Thanks". He quickly moved up the line, he hadn't noticed that people had gotten their order. He was first in line now and for a second just stared at the cashier blankly for a moment, did he know this person? He dismissed the thought before looking up at the overhead menu. He rubbed his eyes with his index finger and thumb, he shouldn't have went to bed so late and woken up so early. He eventually said his order
"One of them hot chocolate things and a doughnut." He put the notes on the table again. He kept thinking he knew this man, he studied his features, they were hard to put a finger on.

She knew she was staring at the man in the line, but it was kind of hard not to.

Jeremiah sat in his desk, looking over the new designs for the fall line. One of the designers stood on the opposite side of the desk, eagerly awaiting what Jeremiah thought. He flipped through the portfolio, giving occasional nods and 'mhms'. With a deep sigh, Jeremiah looked up at the female designer and smiled. "Very good overall but I have a few comments." Jeremiah turned to the shirt designs. "Over here, I'd like this to be a Navy Blue, not black. It would compliment the rest of the outfit very well. And..." He flipped a few pages to wear the underwear designs were. "The lettering on the Elastic is too small. Could you make the font bigger? I don't need the Editor to bite my head off again because of that. Other than that, they're fantastic. Well done." Jeremiah winked at her and handed back her portfolio. "Thank you, thank you sir!" She bowed and left his office. Jeremiah was the head Fashion consultant for Armani, one of the most famous clothing places for men. He worked in the department building while the actual store was across town. He stood up and walked out of his offices, seeing many cubicles with hardworking people inside of them. "Coffee run!" After Jeremiah shouted, just about everyone in the room rushed toward him with their coffee orders. "Alright! Chill! One at a time!"

After a few minutes, Jeremiah was walking outside to go get the coffee. The shop was barely down the street and felt taking a taxi was unnecessary. He wore an all black long sleeved shirt that was from Armani, with black leather pants, and some nice shoes. The entire outfit complimented his body curves nicely was he walked down the street. Ever mannerism and stride he took was almost cat-like. As he approached the coffee shop, a dog from a nearby alley started barking at him. Out of instinct Jeremiah hissed violently at the dog, his eyes glowing cat-like. This caused the dog to yelp and run away. Nearby people turned to stare at Jeremiah, him giving a nervous laugh. "Um...Allergies? Yeah...I'm just gonna go..." Looking embarrassed, Jeremiah walked into the coffee shop and stood in line for his order. It was a big one.

While others were just starting their day off by getting a cup of coffee or some other beverage to hydrate them, Oz was already wide awake. The store did not open until later on but Oz had made it a habit to drink cups of coffee in the morning. Right hours of sleep was an idea foreign to the man so he tended to run most of the week on caffeine then completely crash on Sundays when the store was closed. The plan wasn't healthy but evil never slept so neither could he. Reaching out, his hand wrapped around the fourth cup of coffee he had ordered that morning and, with a fluid motion of his arm, he brought the cup to his mouth and took a sip from it. The three other empty cups he had already downed sat in front of him, forming a pyramid on the table between himself and the other customers. He was leaning back in the chair, cup of coffee in one hand and a book in the other. His head was facing downwards and his blue eyes hungrily tore across the page, taking in every word with the eagerness of a starving lioness eating a warthog. Needless to say, it was a good book.
Stifling a yawn that had slipped past the caffeine, he paused and looked up, taking his surroundings for the first time since he had ordered the fourth cup of coffee. He frowned slightly as he lifted the cup and shook it slightly before finishing it off. He set it down with the others, bookmarked his book and closed it, then stood up and walked over to the counter, falling in line with the crowd. His book was under his arm and he was fumbling to pull out his wallet. Every morning he went to the coffee shop to start off the day and was known as the man who ordered ridiculous amounts of coffee and drank it all himself. No wonder he constantly had to go to the bathroom during the day.

    Morning. Morning.
Ty was up bright and early as always. She didn't have to work that day- or really ever, seeing that she had packed her things and escaped the small town. The town she had live in only a week ago was now infested with government agents all looking for her. So, she hightailed out of there and moved across the country. Far, far away from there.

Ty was now ready to explore the new city she decided to call a temporary home. It was pretty big, and had many places to hide, so it would make due. Her icy blue eyes peered down the roads as she passed by a park. She had to stay vigilant or she could be attacked. There was nothing to worry about...for now. Ty was dressed casually with a dark pair of jeans and a blue hoodie.

Her stomach interrupted her thoughts. "I guess this is what happens when you don't eat for three days." Ty paused, almost passing a coffee shop. "This will do." Ty mumbled and walked inside and to the counter ordering two bagels and paying for them. As she waited, she glanced around at the people inside. This must've been a famous or well known shop because there were many people in their. The air in the place- in the city- was a little different from most she had been in.
