cartoon, yeah... but, its more the issue. lol, its kinda taboo to present homosexual relationships on kid tv... I'm not sure how to say it, but its like... if they opened up to younger audiences and presented these things, making it seem more like a common thing and that its not wrong... well, a lot of kids these days watch tv, a lot of them feel like "oi, something's wrong with me" for ages, small things like a gay relationship in a cartoon can change how kid's feel about themselves and make them feel a bit more accepting *shrug* Not sure this is the best way to word the argument, but ya.
One thing, though, I did see the LGBT community flip out over a... was it disney or nickelodeon... that did a little bit on a kid, who had a brief reference to his two mothers. Like, that was big to them. Now have something more 'major', you know, not a few seconds and more out in the open, be allowed on air, and imagine how much of a hayday they'd have. Sure, its a cartoon, it seems silly, but meh.
