Meow and Hunt! (SilverRain x AkiBlue)

Kita eyed Max carefully when he used a bit of sarcasm in his last statement. Did he really mean that? She somehow felt as if it was a hint to urge her to run away whilst she still could. This made her feel quite unsettled as she once again looked out the window and into the distant skies. Kita spoke to Max without turning back to face him, not really wanting him to see the truth in her eyes.

"Even if I did want to escape, how could I? I could not use my telekinesis anymore and my movements are limited to an invisible barrier. If I killed you, then the whole town will be hunting me and my kind. I would rather just die here than bring trouble to my village. I got myself into this and I'm willing to accept the consequences" said Kita gloomily as if her fate had already been sealed. She remembered how her brother would tell her that humans loved torturing demons. The catgirl cringed at that thought and her ears dropped down in sadness. Spending the last of her moments here with Max...she liked it more than what was coming to her.

The catgirl plucked up the courage to speak again, trying to hold back a tear. "Max, can I ask you a favour? If I am sentenced to death and you run into my kind, please don't let them know that you met me?" said Kita before she realised that it was meaningless. If Max did run into the others, he would capture them too. But at least they would think she was still alive and did not suffer the same fate. She could only hope that they were not as naive and gullible as her.

The sudden sadness made Max slightly uneasy. It was a bit bipolar...maybe that was the girl aspect of the demon. He sat there, looking away from her and towards the window seeing the festival still going on. For some reason...he felt bad for her. She was genuinely upset and... Max shook his head thinking of something else. The last comment made him raise an eyebrow and nod. "I guess I can do that." He said before turning away.

"Thank you Max" replied Kita. Then that was all she said. She just let herself sit down on the floor with her knees folded up towards her as she stared out into the emptiness. She went through the events in her mind again, she reconsidered her choices, but it all lead her back to her current situation. There was nothing she could do. She steadily counted down the moments she had left, not bothering to do anything else. She tried to fight and escape, tried to get on his good side, but now that was all meaningless as she will be facing the court. Who had ever heard of demons being spared anyway?

(OOC: Uh, Kita's sorta stuck in that state now)

As night fell, Max showed her to an unused room, while he got ready for bed himself. It had been one of those days, when you don't realize how tired you are until you hit the bed. In minutes, he was out like a light.

Now, from the shadows, across the street from the building, stood another demon hunter. He was the same ranking as Max- maybe a status under- if that made sense. "Heh, Max doesn't really need all of the fun."
With that, and silent as the night, he advanced forward. When he got to the correct room, he quietly slipped in, using a key he...found. Daniel masked his scent as to not wake up the cat. With a soft incantation, the bell was released from her wrist and in Daniel's hand. Somehow, he was able to stay silent in the midst of all of this. Next thing that happened was Kita being tied up and swiftly taken out the apartment.

Kita had cried herself to sleep althugh late she found that she had been lifted onto someone's back. She stirred for a moment. Was it her brother or the other villagers who ha dcome to sve her? If so, joy! But the scent... there was no scent. Kita looked down and noticed that she was being carried across the rooftops. This person had no tail... was it hidden? That was when Kita noticed that she had been bounded up and was getting farther and farther away from the forest.

As much as Kita tried to think that this person was trying to save her, he instincts told her it wasn't so. Kita meowed, but there was no response. In her tied up form, she narrowly dodged a blow to her head from the person. Kita's eyes narrowed. This definitely wasn't good. Being a cat, she was able to twist around and bite down hard onto the person's neck.

Daniel cursed out loud as his neck was bitten. The demon didn't seem to be taking any blood, but it was an attack nonetheless. This made him hurl the demon into the ground down below. Daniel drew his blade, getting ready to maim the demon. But by this the demon had somehow gotten free and in her hands were her two blades.

Bu instaed of fighting Kita turned and ran into the shadows. Now where was the exit of this town?

Max had awoken, rubbing his wrist. There was no way Kita could have gotten out of his binding. Blu another demon hunter- Max grabbed his jacket and blade before running into the darkness of the night. "Damnit...I was too careless." He was now on the rooftops, following the demoness' aurora. He then noticed the presence of another demon hunter...one he didn't care too much for. Before he made contact with Daniel, he jumped off a roof to land safely on the ground. "Kita..." He said in a hushed tone, and in a slight annoyed growl. It was too late to be playing games. Now Daniel's idiocy freed the demon he was suppose to be taking back as his mission.

Kita skidded to a halt as she heard Max's voice from the shadows. Two demon hunters?! How could she possibly escape? Kita's sudden stop allowed Daniel to catch up from behind her. Not intending to let the demon escape, he waved his hand once, casting a large ring of fire around Kita. Daniel sneered as he slowly approached the fire. He wouldn't be harmed by his own fire, but everyone else will - including that other demon hunter. Also, no one would be able to cancel th fire but himself. Daniel reached into his pocket and pulled out a glass bottle of oil. If he threw that inside the fire, then the demon would burn to death.

Kita didn't want to be burned alive. She frantically looked around till she heard the sound of approaching footsteps, that which was different to Max's. She didn't know how to dispell fire, but she knew that if the caster died, then so would the fire. Kita threw her arms into the air and this made her katana leviate. The demon hunter who casted the ring of fire couldn't see past fire right? Kita moved her arms around so that her katana would point in the direction of the footsteps. Then with a solid swing of one of her arms, the right katana would shoot out from the wall of flames, right into the path of Daniel.

Max had caught up with both of them. "Now, Daniel. Don't you know cheaters never win?" He said with a frown of irritation. He could've been sleep right now...but no. Max had to run around chasing those two. He clenched his fist at the sight of the fire, knowing Kita was in there. "So. We're playing rough are we..." Max mumbled and disappeared into the shadows. He lurked around silently, but paused seeing the katana going straight for him.

He use that opportunity to cast a spell, making Daniel's feet stay in place. He might as well be finished now. Unfortunately, Daniel still was able to lean off to the side and dodge the strike before breaking the spell. When he was distracted once again, Max leapt forward and tackles the other demon hunter, pinning him down with another spell.
