Sebastian was sitting in at a park bench, his eyes were closed and there was a smile on his face. He was listening to the sounds of trafic and kids playing. He loved just sitting around and listening. Suddenly there was a sound of a man yelling at a kid for making him drop a drink or somthing, this caused him to quickly open his eyes and look around. He quickly found what he had heard and it would seem that an old stubby man was getting on to a child for playing.

Sebastian made his way over while twirrling his old cane around and stamped it on the ground inbetween the two. He smiled at the kid, "Run along and play, ill talk to the lolly pop guild munchkin" He chuckled at saying something from the wizard of oz. the kid ran off as Sebastian looked down at the little man almost in anger, "he's a kid, he makes mistakes, but you just dd too, you let me see your mistake, so that's two, no the third mistake is being afraid of...hmmm spiders?" He said pulling his can up to the mans face and a spider seemed to crawl out of no where on tho his head, the little man ran off screaming and Sebastian laughed and looked back at this kids and smiled.

Sebastian's main focus with sorcery was fear and darkness, and it was all he could really do.

((Just came up with another question! Sorry if I sound silly for asking, but do both of our characters use magic or just yours?))

Ava gently ran over the shelved glass bottles with the duster, humming to herself a sweet little folk song while her grandfather tended to some of the flowers in the greenhouse in the back. It was rare to have days like this, just calm days where Ava wasn't being taught about any new creature race, spell, or just anything magical. Of course she wouldn't mind learning any of it; she loved magic with all her heart, but everyone wanted a day off now and again. However, most wouldn't count working in the family shop as a 'day off'.

Her grandfather owned a small shop in the older part of the city, where buildings truly held some history in their unique and aging architecture. Hardly anyone came down this way, though people became curious when they saw all the unique little trinkets- or what they thought were trinkets. The shop was filled with poitions, magic candles, carms, and other little things people could buy. Those who had health problems also came in for a special something Ava and her grandfather could whip up.There were few people that actually came on a regular basis, though one woman named Ms.Applebee was one such person, who had just opened the door. The little ding from the bell's door brought Ava to turn, glancing at Ms.Applebee she smiled.

"Good day Ms.Applebee." The aging woman gave Ava a big grin, making her wrinkles pull every which way. "Oh, Ava, it's good to see you! Lovely as ever." Ms.Applebee, and many others of the older genteration, always complemented Ava on her looks. Pale skin, bright fiery red hair with ice blue eyes- to top it all off she was only about 5 foot 1, a very petite girl, many said she looked like a living doll.
"Thank you Ms.Applebee." Ava's smile fell a little bit when she saw how tired the woman was. "Here, come sit." Pulling out a chair the old woman thanked her then began to tell Ava why she was so tired. Apparently the mother of a boy who lived next door to her went out to the park, yet hadn't taken his phone and she wasn't sure where he was.
"I believe I know which park he's at. That little raskle, never thinking before doing." She laughed. Ava offered to bring the boy here, and after a bit of talking Ms.Applebee decided that was best. She was getting to old to chase little boys around for blocks.

Telling her grandfather she would be back soon Ava ran to the little park, even though she was in a dress she didn't care, she ran until she bumped into a man. This man was about her height, pale as a sheet from looked to be quite a scare. "I'm so sorry sir." Even though she was the one who landed on the ground. Ignoring her he rubbed his arms and head, as if something was on him. "Are you alright?" He finally payed attention long enough to stutter out "S-spider." Ava didn't quite understand until she saw it on his leg, crawling up then vanishing. Ava was a tad bit surprised, but kept the surprise to herself as if she had saw nothing. What sorcery was this?
"There is no spider, sir." Ava patted his back in a soothing way. "Maybe you should go home now." Walking off before he could say anything Ava finally reached the park where there was a little boy who fit the discription Ms.Applebee had given.

"Jacob!" She called, and he turned and looked at her curiously. Running out to him she told him his mother wanted him home, but he wanted to stay a bit longer. Giving him her phone he talked with his mother and they decided 15 more minutes. With 15 minutes to spare Ava went to sit on the bench, next to a man with a cane. Ava thought he was rather handsome, young, but why would he need a cane? There was something about him. . . "May I sit here?" She asked, pointing to the empty seat beside him.

Sebastian was caught off guard because his eyes had been closed again, he jumped and opened his eyes. He didnt answer right away, but instead looked the girl over, she was cute, really cute. "Sure, why would I stop a pretty girl?" He was going for a one night stand, and what he wanted, always happened. H sat up and moved his cane to give her enough room.

Suddenly Sebastian noticed something. He wasn't sure what it was, but it wasn't, well, normal... And that usually meant a fight. Sebastian may use his powers for his own gain, such as scaring people for fun, impressing people, and well, getting girls to sleep with him, but he never put peoples lives in danger. He did his best to seem at ease, but he was looking around. The strangest thing was it seemed to be coming from the girl, but she was human, wanst she? theres no way she could be dangerous...even if she wasn't human....it was a very strong feeling.

Ava thanked him softly, giving a small bashful smile at his words. She had heard she was pretty from family, friends, old people but never handsome men. So, this was something new for her, and as she sat down she started to feel a tad nervous. It wasn't because she had been given a complement by a cute guy, though it was more because of the strange aura she felt from him. There was something different, it seemed he felt something different as well, she could just feel the nerves rising for both of them.
Deciding not to let it take control of her she tried to be friendly, turning to him with a warm smile and holding out her hand for him to shake as she said "I'm Avalon, but most just call me Ava. It's nice to meet you."

Sebastian looked at her and smiled, "Nice to meet you, Im Sebastian Malheart." He suddenly got an idea, if this was gunna work he had to impress her. He thought for a moment and suddenly got an idea, flowers! chicks like flowers! He chuckled a bit at the thought and got her attention, "Wanna see somthing as pretty as you?" He said. He then snapped his fingers and a black rose apeared in his hand. It wasnt dead, but a real living pitch black rose, it wasnt natural at all. He handed over to her, "A rose for a pretty girl?"

Blushing lightly like a school girl Ava smiled, taking the flower with a soft thank you. It was sweet of him to do something like that but in the back of Ava's mind, behind the little school girl inside and out, there was a fiery redhead trying to figure out what he was. This flower wasn't fake, that wasn't just some parlor trick either. He was using magic, yet she couldn't tell if he was good or bad yet. At least she understood what that strange thing about him was.

Tempted now to show her own powers she smiled back at him. "That was a very need little trick. Say, speaking of tricks, would you like to play a game." Her smile turned into a small smirk. "It's a trick game, to see who can wow the other the most. You made a black rose appear, so it is now my turn." Looking at the rose for a moment, not waiting to really hear his answer, Ava was excited to play the game. Ava was always fond of games, any sort of game was fun as long as there was a chance for her to win.
Deciding on her trick she gently kissed a large bottom petals, which made it suddenly turn a beautiful blood red color. Plucking it from the flower gently with her lips she let the petal fall into her hand, whispering softly as it fell, then suddenly turning into a bright red butterfly just before hitting her hand. It was a fake butterfly, its wings only rose petals, but one could be fooled easily.

Holding out her hand for Sebastian to look it fluttered about before landing on him. "Your turn."

Magic. She had it too and was now challenging Sebastian. "Well, I'm all for little parlor tricks like that, but this is a real mans magic." He said with a smirk and a wink. The only problem was that Sebastian's powers only worked in dark, twisted ways that some times even frighted him. But he wasn't going to loose, not where there was a possible one night stand he could work for.

Sebastian cracked his knuckles and stood up. He pointed his can at the bench and smiled. there was a loud pop and the bench.... wasn't a bench. It was a solid shadow. You should have fallen right through it, but it seemed to be a shadow made of a dense material that could support weight. "Beat that." He bowed

Ava was impressed, though when he told her to beat that she yawned in a dramatic way, as if she wasn't impressed. Realizing that his magic had to deal with some sort of darkness she knew that her illusions could beat them in a snap. Thankfully he would be the only one to see as she gently started to stroke the bench, cooing it as if it was a large animal. Suddenly, in a blink of an eye, it was a large animal. A cat looking creature, sitting up like a human. It was rather fat, fluffy, and making a sort of bench shape for Ava to sit on.

Glancing at Sebastian she smiled, glancing then being him to see the children still playing. She wasn't worried about them seeing it, for they wouldn't since her magic was only focused on Sebastian right now, but they might think it was strange that she was stroking a bench.
Looking back at Sebastian she waited for him to try and top it. "You know, you can always just give up." she teased in a cute way.
