I want to take that next step and actually start working out, but I can't get motivated. I want to run but I tell myself that my knees can't take it and I'm liable to fall and all of those dumb excuses.

Any tips from you people who love exercise?

(I figured I would ask in this thread instead of make a new one since it sorta ties in.... Hope that's cool, Christie! ^^)
Choose someplace like 2 or more miles away you would want to go to and set it as a goal, someplace like a park or something. Now every day try to run to that location and back, understandably if you are not in shape it will be hard to run the whole way your first time, instead try to keep track of where you run and where you walk at. Each day run more than you walked the day before, even if it is 1 step more than yesterday it is still improvement. If you feel like you cannot continue to run just remind yourself that you managed it yesterday and there is no reason you cannot do it today and just push yourself. Eventually as you get in better shape and you get more attuned to running you will eventually manage to run the whole way which will really move you on your way to getting your body ready to do just about any other workouts. The only real leadup you need for this is cutout almost every other kind of beverage except for water and some juices as most drinks actually dehydrate you more than they hydrate, I do not know your size but you should never drink less than 3 liters of water per day and you should try to aim more for like 5 liters a day. The water will also help with your diet as you will feel more full more often and thus eat less.

I also recommend simple exercises like 8 counts, monkey fuckers, pushups, and situps being down until failure after your run and before you go to sleep each night, they can be done anywhere and will work out a few key muscle groups while burning calories and adapting your body to working out.

If you do all those things you should lose weight at a decent pace due to your metabolism increasing and you will be better prepared to undertake more strenuous exercises. You should also feel a lot better feel healthier of this simple workout alone.

“Enemies of the Imperium, hear me. You have come here to die. The Immortal Emperor is with us and we are invincible. His soldiers will strike you down. His war machines will crush you under their treads. His mighty guns will bring the very sky crashing down upon you. You cannot win. The Emperor has given us his greatest weapon to wield. So make yourselves ready. We are the Imperial Guard, and your doom is upon you. "

Veggies that cause digestive problems are high in insoluble fiber, which would be your average greens (lettuce, celery, green beans, broccoli, etc). It's best to limit the amount of them to eat and remove any stems or peels and to chop it up. I would hope you're not avoiding them entirely, anyhow. There's some that are high in soluble fiber that are safer for you to eat (squash, potatoes, carrots, beets, etc) and you should have just one at a time instead of a whole bunch of veggies all stirred up together. Fermented veggies are an excellent alternative, I know someone that has your same issue and is fine with sauerkraut and kim chi. These foods will actually help heal you because they have probiotic microorganisms.

This thread makes me realise how inactive I am when it comes to exercising.

Rectifying that seems like too much effort.
