Azae - A World At War - A Fantasy War RP (Int Check)

So this is a grand scale War RP I've worked on time from time over the past year. I was thrilled to find this active site (After my old RP site, RPGC is on rapid the decline). I hope some of you have interest in joining. Here is the basic overview:

On the planet of Azae, a quiet peace has reigned over the beautiful, colossal continent of Zeldwa for just a few short years. Zeldwa, which covers over half of the planet's surface and is home to the entirety of the planet's population, is split into four nations:

Kildra, the oldest and largest of the nations, spans over the entire North West corner of Zeldwa. Once, all of Northern Zeldwa was under Kildran rule, until the infamous First Kildran Civil War, where two noble families took a stand against the slave-trade and the current monarchy, splitting the nation in half and creating the Queendom of Roadalia.

Kildra didn't have to wait long for their Second Kildra Civil war in which the people who were born into slavery finally revolted against their oppressors after a hundred of years of extreme labor and abuse. The war, which remained even in it's entirety, lasted a little over a decade and resulted in the then Kildran King, Amollus III, to split Kildra in half again and relinquish the Southern half over to the newly freed slaves. The slaves set up a new nation under a semi-democratic government called, Libertia. Slavery was finally abolished throughout Zeldwa.

Libertia didn't last longer then a few years until the nation was split between two political parties, the Lindors and the Soovs. The Lindors were still hateful and bitter over their slavery, and demanded to rekindle the sparks of war with Kildra to acquire more land then they were originally given. The Soovs had more of a 'forgive and forget' mentality and wanted to start their live anew. When the soon to be famous Soov, Zels Wintso, was elected as the new leader of the council many Lindor leaders were enraged. It wasn't long until Libertia was in a state of civil war itself. Kildra, still bitter over Libertia's secession, resolved to remain neutral throughout the conflict as did Roadalia. After just a few years of bloodshed in the streets of Libertia, Zels and the council decided to make the same decision Amollus III had made years before them. They agreed to split Libertia between East and West. The Lindors and their followers took the Western half, South of Roadalia and created the militaristic nation of Indorian.

Indorians still craved war between Kildra and now had a new hatred toward their old companions, Libertia. Unfortunately, the Libertian Civil War had left them with low numbers and supplies. They were forced to take charity from the very nation that once had them imprisoned. This was only fuel for the fire. War was out of the question for now, but many Indorians knew it was only a matter of time until they got their true revenge.

Not much is currently known about Roadalia since their construction of large walls around their border, other than it must still be run by the mad Queen Bernadette.

A fragile peace remained between these four nations for just a few years...

    Until...

Destroyer of Planets, Consumer of Souls, Bringer of Destruction. Engriact has been known by many names to the people of many planets before he terminated them. An advanced being, consciousness, or entity that travels the cosmos feeding on the force or energy that breaths life into a planet and it's inhabitants. Some advanced civilizations knew of it's coming beforehand, but were powerless to stop it. Most didn't have a clue until the very end.

The Heralds of Death are three beings who serve Engriact, and two of which travel to the planets beforehand to prepare them for it's arrival. When the majority of creatures on a planet die within a close proximity, the planet fills with their life force (some view this as their souls). This is the only time when Engriact can feed on the planet. It is the Heralds' job to enure that in some way, shape, or form this happens.

Shala is drawn to the remnants of war on Azae. Her love of manipulating lesser beings draws her to the idea of sparking a full scale war all over Zeldwa. She decides to visit the leaders of each nation...

Garnerge has always had an insatiable blood-lust. There are legends of a mythical beast that once called Azae it's home, thousands of years ago. In the legend, an ancient civilization that came before man imprisoned the murderous beast deep within the planet. This children's tale intrigues him. Maybe it's true...?

Ezra, or The Voice of Engriact, never leaves his master's side. Being the oldest and most enigmatic of the Heralds, he is rarely seen by the other two. The only time they hear from him is when he bestows Engriact's commands, through telepathy, onto them.

So that's it, I don't claim it to be too original, but I've always been interested in a realistic fantasy war being strung along by unknown supernatural beings. Let me know what you guys think and feel free to ask any questions. I'm new so I made the mistake of already posting the thread in Advanced Roleplay. You can find it here : http://roleplayerguild.com/showthread.php?188318-Azae

A slightly detailed historical time line for the world is also found there.

Azae - A Brief History Lesson and Time Line of the Nations of the Continent of Zeldwa.

Compiled by Kildran Historian, Valuz Habier

    Before Written History

Long before there was any written history, men were nothing but instinct driven, nomadic tribes. Coming from the forests, mountains and deserts they traveled throughout Zeldwa following game as it migrated. With nothing more then grunts as a language, they clashed and fought when encountering each other. The stronger tribe, of course, always survived these skirmishes and increased their chances of survival by adding to their food supply. It did not take them long to realize they did not have to slaughter the entire opposing tribe, but they could keep the women to increase their pack.

Two tribes emerged as much more dominant than the rest and began to build permanent homes and draw boundary lines as to where they claimed their land. The lighter skinned Kildran tribe settled the mountainous Northern Zeldwa while the darker skinned Nomasdae settled in the deserts of the South. A rough form of speech was beginning to form inside each tribe at this time and communication became a weapon to them. Not only were they stronger, but they were more intelligent. Nomadic tribes tried time and time again to invade in search for food only to be repelled, killed, and have their women stolen. The first hulking mass of a leader to the Kildrans emerged, unifying them against outside attacks. The tribesman called him Onta the Large.

Onta told his people that he was visited by the heavenly Voice of Azae in his dreams. He explained the voice said she was the Spirit of Azae, that all people were her children, and directed him to teach his people to worship the planet and all life on it. Daily prayer became a part of life. Onta taught our ancestors how to farm the land which was taught to him by the visions. Onta is known as the First Prophet, and this marks the beginning of the Azae religion. It should be noted that around this time a Nomasdae man, believed to be named Hajunt, claimed to have a similar vision to his tribe. It is hard to verify this claim as most Nomasdae records were destroyed in the Kildran-Nomasdae War.

The tribe expanded over the decades, and their language flourished. Villages popped up all over Zeldwa, and the Kildrans continued to push back the nomads into the forests. Decades passed as their population and intelligence grew, and more farmland was needed. Onta's descendants continued to lead the people. As a show of gratitude, the family was put up in the largest hut in the largest village.

When Onta's great grandson, Zalur the Mass, came into rule he declared that the uncivilized nomads were heretics and thus not true children of Azae. He ordered that any nomadic woman encountered in the forests by hunters be brought back to do manual labor and farm-work. These prisoners were kept in cages at Zalur's hut and are known as the first slaves. It should be noted that these first slaves showed no physical differences in race to our Kildran ancestors.

Iron was soon discovered, and with that came the invention of steel weapons. Already accustomed to slaves, the hunters of the tribe would venture out into the forests collecting their less intelligent cousins. Armed head-to-toe, the barely clad nomads didn't stand a chance against the Kildran hunters. This time, men too were brought back to do more strenuous labor. The hunters would bring the slaves from village to village trading animals and crops for them. They were mistreated, branded, and were taught only some words. This is known as the start of Kildra's infamous slave-trade.

With most physical work out of their hands, the Kildran people spent the next few decades furthering their minds. It was around this time that scribes came about, putting words to paper, constructing a uniformed alphabet.

This was also the time that a distant descendant of Zalur the Mass, Amollus, declared himself King of the Kildran people. The family had done a perfectly fine job of leading the people through these care free times, so of course, no protest came. He chose the surname "Hildren" meaning "Leader" and created the tradition of family names. The nation of Kildra was established, and to commemorate the event, Amollus Hildren had a stone castle built by slaves where his hut used to stand. The village of Kein was now the capital.

Amollus gathered the greatest warriors in Kein and made them his personal guard. Currency in the form of steel coins were given out throughout the country. He hired scribes to begin to keep a record of history (to him it was just meant to be a record of his legacy) and the day of his ascension to the throne became the new year. This marked the beginning of year 1, and the beginning of what would come to be known as the Kildran Period.

    The Kildran Period

    Year 1
King Amollus Hildren organizes the slave trade. Hunters become slave-catchers. Nation's amount of slaves doubles. People praise the king for making life easy.

    Year 14
One of the many wives of King Amollus gives birth to son, Vezra. Population is booming, and many villages continue to spread. Many forests are taken down to make room and supply wood for the new villages.

    Year 17
Small skirmishes within villages leading to murders forces King Amollus to dispense guards to police every village. Amollus sets up the first documented laws, called the "Amollus Laws".

    Eye for an eye...
    Limb for a limb...
    Cow for a cow...
    Daughter for a daughter...
What you take, you shall give.
    This is law.

    Year 33
After having daughter after daughter, Amollus suddenly dies at an unknown age. First son, Vezra, is named his successor at age nineteen.

    Year 38
With the population continuing to grow at an alarming rate, cities become crowded. A noble and peasant class begins to form in the major cities as many families rise to wealth with the slave-trade. King Vezra sends out slave-catchers to explore further South of Zeldwa. They return months later with the discovery of the Zeldwa desert. More forests are torn down as Vezra orders the construction of new villages and expands the Kildran territory further South to the outskirts of the desert.

    Year 44
First organized attempt at sea travel. Primitive ship is built and a crew is sent out. Not heard from for months. Pieces of the ship wash up on shore. No immediate attempts are planned.

    Year 47
First village construction deep within the desert is attempted. The Kildrans make first documented contact with the Nomasdae tribe when Nomasdae raiders come across their construction sites and destroy them. Vezra orders large group of heavily armed hunters to explore the desert. Only a small severely injured group return. They inform the King of the Nomasdae tribe, an equally advanced society with superior warriors. The men could not understand the Nomasdae language, but it was clear they did not want the Kildrans to settle any villages within the desert and to respect what was to be known as the first border between nations. Although little is known about the Nomasdae tribe at this point in history, King Vezra paints a picture of a godless and murderous society to his people.

    Year 55
Nomads appear to be running extinct. Few are found, and not often. Current slaves start running off to try to blend into other villages. To continue their life of prosperity, King Vezra lifts the restrictions on slave breeding. Slaves born from slaves. They now must wear permanent heavy metal bracelets to show their status as slaves. Farmers plan on breeding strong ones to help in the fields.

    Year 73
King Vezra dies of an illness, son Ven'del is named his successor at age twenty-eight.

    Year 96
Man by the name of Couswa Serda claims to recall past life, and journey through the planet's life-force to become current state. Declares himself to be the Second Prophet of Azae. Also happens to be childhood friends with current king, Ven'del. Convinces the King to approve the construction of the immense first Church of Azae at the capital. Serda organizes the religion worshiping Azae and the beauty that is life. He names himself head priest of the church. King Ven'del converts and the religion spreads rapidly through the nobles of Kildra. Claims when one dies their life-force returns to the planet and meshes with the planets life-force only to be recycled as a new being, thus making us all one collective conscious. States slaves do not have a life-force.

    Year 100
With overcrowding in cities becoming a major issue, Ven'del issues the "Ven'del Decree" that the first born male of every family must be sent to the capital at the age of sixteen for military training. This marks the creation of the Kildran Royal Army. Noblemen become captains, sergeants, and generals. Word quickly spread that a march on the desert is planned.

    Year 110
After a decade of preparation Ven'del marches towards the desert with his massive army. The first Nomasdae villages they come across deep within the desert are instantly razed to the ground. This is known as the first battle of the Kildran-Nomasdae War. The males are slaughtered almost entirely and all women and children are sent back to Kildra to become slaves. These are the first Nomasdae Slaves.

The advancing army is met by the Nomasdae's defending forces and a bloody battle ensues. Ven'del prevails with his overwhelming force and continues his march to what he believes to be their capital in the heart of the Zeldwa desert.

The soldiers nickname Nomasdae's capital, "The Fortress" because of the high stone walls surrounding the city. The Nomasdae prove again to be fierce warriors, repelling Ven'del's army for over a year.

    Year 111
This year marks the Victory of the Kildran-Nomasdae War. After losing the majority of his army, the Nomasdae eventually succumb to King Ven'del's relentless onslaught. The women and children were quickly rounded up, as was custom by this time. The first Nomasdae slaves, mostly women, that made it back to Kildra had proved to be even stronger than full grown male nomad slaves and quickly became a sought after commodity for rich who owned farms.

Their warriors fought so bravely that it left a deep impression on the King's army and became a popular story to secretly pass around. So much so that the King made it punishable by death if caught reciting or listening to the story.

The elderly King made the controversial order to burn all evidence of Nomasdae culture instead of allowing his scholars to peer over their works and learn their language, although many inventions were found and saved within "The Fortress", such as the printing press, the crossbow, the telescope, and the hourglass.

It is due to King Ven'del's hatred and brash decisions that we know little of the Nomasdae to this day. Almost all art and literature were burned. Temples that appeared to be similar to the Azae churches in Kildra were desecrated and brought to a rubble. Shallow mass graves were dug for the Nomasdae bodies and quickly built upon.

    Year 113
Desert cities are constructed all along the river now known as the Ven'del River and on top of the former Nomasdae cities and even graves.

    Year 118
The Nomasdae soon outnumber the amount of nomad slaves in Kildra. Many noble families go as far as releasing their Kildran cousins from slavery when acquiring the more valuable Nomasdae slaves. Many former slaves blend into peasant society.

The first fictional Kildran literature is written and published as most written work up until this point has been religious scripture.

    Year 127
King Van'del dies in his sleep at the age of eighty-five. Son refuses crown, King's much younger brother, Azor steps up to the throne.

    Year 130
A large farming village does not send it's shipment from the east coast of Zeldwa. Guards sent to investigate discover village burnt to the ground. Determined it was a slave uprising. A few days later the slaves were found hiding in nearby forests. They were captured and hung in Kein square. First reported act of slave rebellion.

    Year 169
Nautical technology has advanced somewhat in the past century. Another attempt is made with a much larger ship. Crew bids farewell on a months long trip.

    Year 170
Ship returns with only half of crew. Crew speaks of everlasting darkness and miles long serpents that reside in the dark waters. Ships are restricted to only traveling the coastlines.

The young Lady Alvira of the Edward family speaks out publicly against the Slave-trade and what she views as the terrible mistreatment of the Nomasdae people. She finds a comrade in Sir Algrich Irtune, a young second cousin to the King and captain in the royal army. Sir Algrich pleads with the King to hold a court discussion with the noble families over the matter of slavery. The King agrees but says it will not be held until next year.

    Year 171
King Azor gathers the noble families to the capital of Kein to discuss the issue of slavery. Lady Alvira and Sir Algrich are depressed to learn they are in the great minority amongst the nobles when it comes to their views of race equality. The general of the Kildran Royal Army, Lord Elber Yensir, makes the grave mistake of insulting Lady Alvira during the discussion. Sir Algrich challenges him in the middle of the court and cuts him down in front of all the nobles. King Azor calls for both of their heads.

With the help of Algrich's close friends in the royal guard, he and Lady Alvira are able to escape. They flee to the Northeastern city of Kanzar. The guards who are discovered to have helped them escape are put to death.

Alvira, Algrich, and their respected families, along with a few other like-minded nobles proceed to go into hiding. With their pooled wealth and resources they are able to build a small yet formidable army of mostly skilled mercenaries.

King Azor appoints Gex Drun as the new General of the Kildran Royal Army, also know as Gex the Decapitator. All is quiet for several years.

    Year 174
Algrich comes out of hiding and claims the entire Northeast corner of Zeldwa as under his rule. This marks the beginning of the First Kildran Civil War. He declares himself King of what he names New Kildra. To no one's surprise, he takes Lady Alvira as his Queen. They wed in a church of Azae in Kanzar. Upon hearing this news, King Azor demands their excommunication from head priest, Cain Bendict. Cain refuses, stating it is not up to church to choose sides in time of war.

An infuriated Azor cuts all ties with the church and has Cain Bendict put to death. He outlaws the worship of Azae throughout Kildra and destroys every church within his borders except for the one at the capital. The Kildran people begin to believe their King has gone made.

King Algrich soon abolishes slavery within New Kildra. Many nobles who disagree with their new rulers flee with their slaves to Azor's Kildra.
General Gex marches the royal army to meet with King Algrich at the border city of Hein. The young leader proves himself to be a skilled tactician on the battlefield and scores many early wins against Kildra. He is able to push Gex's troops back as well as the border, gaining land. Villages located on the border become barren war zones with charred out smoking buildings.

    Year 176
After two years of fighting a stalemate is reached. Algrich has gained much territory including parts of the Southern desert. Kildra has been sending most of it's resources to the war effort and is heading into a state of poverty and depression. Crime is steadily on the rise as bandit groups begin to appear all over.

Queen Alvira gives birth to a daughter named Cornelia.

The tide appears to briefly turn in favor for General Gex when a soldier fatally wounds King Algrich in battle. The victory is short lived however, when Queen Alvira immediately takes up her late husband's role and proves herself to be an even greater strategist in war than him.

Battle after battle she manages to outmaneuver and out think Gex's forces. She renames her queendom, Roadalia, after her late mother. She fortifies the border between the two countries and continues to score win after win putting Kildra's death toll much higher than that of Roadalia's.

Frustrated with his lack of victory, King Azor has Gex brought back to Kein and put to death. Just days after the execution, King Azor is found dead in his sleeping chambers. It is rumored that his own wife poisoned him to end his tyrannical reign. His son, Amollus II takes the throne. Seeing the horrible state both his people and the Roadalians are in, he soon puts an end to the war, and grants Roadalia it's sovereignty. Queen Alvira praises King Amollus II for his declaration of peace. What is left of the Kildran Royal Army returns back to the capital. The two nations rebuild.

    Year 178
With slavery abolished within Roadalia, Queen Alvira has several refugee camps set up for the newly freed Nomasdae to help them integrate into society. This proves to be quite a difficult task at first because of many Roadalians still believing in a superiority over the Nomasdae, and most Nomasdae viewing the Roadalians as being no different than the Kildrans. Many Nomasdae are the victims of persecution and sometimes murder. Despite Alvira's promise of Roadalia not having a class system, the Nomasdae soon fill out the poorer class of Roadalia, taking the lesser jobs.

Alvira allows women to enlist in Roadalia's army. She has a group of young ladies trained by Valius Thorn, a highly skilled mercenary in her army, as her personal guard. To make a statement to her people, three of the twelve women chosen are Nomasdae.

    Year 181
King Amollus II gathers much of Kildra's slave population to hallow out Zalur's Mountain in the far North and to start construction on a grand city within the mountain. Many of the peasant class are also able to find work on the project. This greatly boosts Kildra's economy and helps pull them from the poverty they had entered during the war.

Amollus II also claims all unclaimed desert lands South of Roadalia. He lifts the ban on the worship of Azae much to the people's delight and approves reconstruction of several major churches.

Roadalia soon becomes a mecca for art, literature, and music as Queen Alvira becomes a huge fan of plays. Peace continues.

    Year 183
Kildran noble, Matheu Barnard, reports his slave, Zacci, has run away.
King Amollus II dies of an apparent heart attack. Youngest son, Drazel takes the throne. Construction on the mountain city of Zalur continues. Many slaves and peasant workers die during a cave in.

    Year 189
Slave is accused of pushing her owner out a 3rd story window. She was hung in Kein square the next week.
A small secret group of Roadalians, both of Kildran and Nomasdae descent, form to help slaves in Kildra escape over the border into Roadalia. They call themselves, "The Allies of Freedom". Helping a slave escape in Kildra is punishable by death.

    Year 190
The slave formerly known as Zacci appears in the Kildran capital of Kein. He now refers to himself as Indoria, an old Nomasdae word for, "Freedom". He spouts a quick speech about removing their shackles and rising up.

"They murdered our ancestors, raped our women, and erased our culture. How long do we serve without question? How long do we stand for this oppression when we are no different?... How long do we remain cowards?"

The speech was brief and short. Guards chase him down, only to have him completely disappear in a crowd.

    Year 192
Construction on the mountain city of Zalur is finally finished. It becomes a wonder for people all over Zeldwa to visit.

Indoria shows up in one of the largest slave populated cities, Groten. Slaves rise up and attack their owners and the towns guards. When Kildran reinforcements show up, the slaves are no where to be found. They retreat south into the unsettled parts of the desert.

Coincidentally, perhaps spurred by the words of Indoria's speech, slave uprisings start in many large farming villages. Some are more successful than others, but any slaves who survive flee straight for the desert to join with their comrades.

Drazel was not about to humor this. He had invited many slave owners to bring their slaves to watch as he had several slaves brought to the capital to be hung. They started with the children first, to make the parents watch. This was to show what would happen to them if rebellion continued. Quiet remained for some time.

    Year 197
Several cities on the outskirts of the Kein capital are suddenly overrun by masked, skilled warriors. They show no remorse, killing man, woman, and child. At the end of the day long massacre, the group left just a few survivors. The leader pulled off his mask and identified himself as the slave rebel leader, Indoria. He stated the killing would continue until his people were freed. The group, with the newly freed slaves, disappeared back into the desert once more. This point in history is considered the beginning of the Second Kildran Civil War also known as the Kildran Slave Rebellion.

King Drazel organized his troops and sent his general, Lord Ed Vicewin, into the South Western part of the desert that they thought the slave rebels were occupying and where they had lost contact with many cities. That's when they showed up as if out of no where, as if they came from the sand. The Kildrans could not handle their guerrilla style of warfare. They were being picked off one by one. No troops, including General Vicewin, returned home.

Drazel was embarrassed, but knew the slaves were still low in number. He waited and put troops all along what was now becoming the border, but heard nothing further.

    Year 199
King Drazel Hildren sent more troops, month after month, to the border preparing for attack. Outposts and temporary walls were erected. The decade remained quiet for the most part. The remaining slaves still in Kildra were kept guard and watched closely. Drazel was beginning to wonder if they had maybe all died out there in the South Western desert. Then the day came. A mass of charging, masked men, fully equipped, running full force at the guard stations that ran along the border. This was the most bloody battle the Zeldwa continent had ever seen. It lasted for months with the death toll easily reaching the thousands.

    Year 202
The slave army attacks numerous major cities within the outskirts of Kildra leaving no Kildrans alive and even going as far as to put the heads of many Kildran nobles on spikes. They leave messages in the cities they destroy, asking for the freedom of all Nomasdae and the abolition of slavery.

    Year 206
The fighting has persisted the past few years. The rebels liberating some villages one day, increasing their numbers, and being pushed back into the desert the next. The former slaves show the same combat prowess their Nomasdae ancestors showed a hundred years before. Neither side seemed to be winning.

King Drazel dies during a horse riding accident. His young son of only seventeen, Amollus III, takes the throne.

    Year 209
Amollus III tries to follow in his father's footsteps and continue to defend from the ever attacking slaves led by the fierce warrior Indoria, but soon realizes it is all in vain. He, himself, kept no slaves and realized times were changing. A meeting was arranged with the now aged Indoria. A truce was bartered over the agreement to free all slaves and abolish slavery throughout the kingdom much to the dismay of the noble class, and to relinquish the Southern half of the continent to the slaves to set up their own nation.

The Nation of Libertia is created. A council of 6 are elected by the people of Libertia to rule them. Indoria is elected to to be the head of the council, only to die several weeks later.

Queen Alvira names her daughter Cornelia as her successor on her deathbed. Cornelia's first act as Queen is to declare Roadalia forever a queendom, where only women can rule. Race relations improve within Roadalia's populace.

This point forward in time is referred to as Modern Times...

    Modern Times

    Year 210
    Month 1
Kildra focuses on rebuilding its economy. King Amollus III looks forward to the future and advancing his people. Many parts of Kildra, especially near the border have been stricken with poverty because of the war.

Religion falls out of favor to most noble and lower class people in Kildra. Many people would rather focus on their lives and the immediate future then think of the wonders of the world.

Construction on the first port city begins.

Queen Cornelia of Roadalia continues her nation's support of the Nomasdae people by sending supplies and a message of goodwill to Libertia. Many Nomasdae are able to reach statuses of wealth within Roadalia.

With Indoria's sudden death, Libertia's council was left without a leader. An election is held. Two young cousins rise to fill the position, Zels Wintso, the grandson of Indoria, and Drex Gorge, Indoria's great nephew. The men were well known and decorated for their actions during the rebellion despite their young age. Each catered to the different interests of the people and identified with the mostly young population. This split the nation into two political parties. Zels Wintso followers labeled themselves the Soovs, and the Gorge followers called themselves the Lindors.

Zels preached to the Soovs that now was a time of peace. Although, they were given much less land then they originally asked for (half of which was covered in desert, and the other half in rain forests), they should accept what they have for now and focus on building their new nation.

Wintso's cousin did not have the same beliefs. Drex still remembered the shackles they made him wear as a child. He called for putting all focus on improving their military, and eventually staging a full scale attack on Kildra with intent on increasing their borders. He also continuously stated that it was just a matter of time until Kildra reclaimed their slaves.

    Month 3

A Soov campaigning office that Zels was scheduled to be at is attacked by unknown assailants. Zels could not make it, but all campaigning officers are slaughtered. Drex comes out against the attack the next day. Rumors fly that it was Drex himself who staged the attack. Election day looms.

    Month 8
Election day arrives. Zels wins the election by nearly 3500 votes, which sends many Lindors into a rage. Riots break out in Libertia's capital. Drex seemingly supports the nation's decision, to try to quell the riots.

    Year 211

    Month 1

Port city of Yensa is finished on the North West coast of Kildra. Many Kildrans travel there for the promise of new jobs and excitement of discovering the sea. Building of ships begins.

In Libertia Zels Wintso takes office as council leader and addresses the people from the capital of Hajean.

"The bloodshed has come to an end. I know some of you feel we should continue it, but I ask for peace. We must put the hatred, anger, and thoughts of revenge behind us..."

Plans to rebuild destroyed cities from the war and build several new cities goes into effect.

    Month 8

Acts of terrorism spring up in major Libertian cities. Many high profile Lindors, including Drex Gorge himself, are investigated. No connections can be made.

    Year 212

    Month 1

Many ships make their first voyage in this month. Many set out to just map the coastline while others plan to go much farther to explore. Claims are made that the old stories of serpents to be just tales to scare them as children.

In Libertia city-construction continues without flaw until several more terrorist acts spring up, halting the building. Several protests break out in the capital. The Lindors continue campaigning, speaking in the streets, and winning converts.

Drex Gorge disappears from the public eye.

    Month 2

The small and ineffective Libertian army is sent to the construction sites to ensure that work continues without any more problems.

    Month 5

No word from any ships that left Yensa, not even the ones that only planned to ride the coastline. Yensa becomes a dreary place

In Libertia troops stationed at the sites clash several times with the terrorists. Many troops are killed in the small battles. Calls to strengthen the military continue, and the troops lack of ability to handle the terrorists only backs the argument. Zels Wintso and the council call for the bloodshed to stop. Zels is afraid of what this is leading to.

    Year 213

    Month 1

One ship returns to Yensa in Kildra. The crew comes back with detailed drawings of beasts, islands, and maps. Crew becomes famous and rich, but all claim to never go out to sea again calling it "worse then death". The rest of Kildra continues to advance, while King Amollus III remains only slightly interested in Libertia's inner problems. Borders are strengthened, just in case.

Queen Cornelia declares neutrality in Libertia's inner dispute, but still pledges to send food supplies as long as needed.

In Libertia, many Lindors move to the outskirts of the desert. Terrorism attacks are on the rise, and continue to get worse with each passing one. Protests happen daily and almost always end in violence.

    Month 5

Yensa's population dwindles. Sea travel becomes a daredevil sport.

In Libertia, first terrorist is caught alive. After a week of interrogation, he finally reveals the leader to be the missing Drex Gorge. Upon this revelation, Zels fears civil war is in the near future. Focus finally shifts to strengthening the military.

Drex's whereabouts remain unknown. Lindor towns and villages are put under martial law. No further terrorist attacks happen.

    Year 214

    Month 2

Although no attacks have happened, Zels and the council refuse to let their guard down until Drex is found. Cities with a mostly Lindor populations remain under martial law. They stay surprisingly silent over it.

    Year 215

    Month 1

Kildra begins to pull itself from the poverty it was in during the war. Cities and villages expand.

Roadalians rediscover religion as citizen's interest in the church of Azae expands.

Cities throughout Libertia are attacked systematically and at once by groups of well trained and heavily armed men. Many small villages are overrun by soldiers on horseback. Many large cities are overrun seemingly from the inside. The attackers reveal themselves to be under the orders of Drex Gorge. Some cities are lost, while some are able to push back the attackers.

Fighting last for weeks, leaving the streets covered in blood. Zels and the council plead for help from Roadalia, only to have Queen Cornelia inform them that they are on their own. They even ask Kildra for help and get a surprise when King Amollus III sends a supply of armor and weapons and a message that this is all the help they will receive.

    Month 2

The largest group of rebel troops surrounds the Libertian capital. The Libertian army is able to hold them back for weeks, but it is a hard fought battle. Zels and the council are trapped within the city walls. The opposing forces are for more adept at combat then the Libertian forces. Surrender seems the only end.

    Month 3

In an interesting turn of events, a high ranking Libertian officer discovers the hideout of Drex Gorge, and along with his soldiers, captures Drex. Gorge's followers halt their siege of Hajean and negotiations begin.

    Month 4

Zels and the council realize that the violence will not end unless a compromise is reached. After a week of deliberation, a decision is made. They decide to do the same thing that King Amollus III did before them, they split the nation, relinquishing the Eastern half to Drex and his followers.

    Month 5

Drex is released to his followers. They establish the militaristic nation of Indorian, in memory of Drex's Great Uncle. Drex Gorge is appointed general and thus leader of the nation.

With no economy to speak of, Indoria is forced to ask the very nation they want to go to war with for help. King Amollus III shows kindness and agrees to send food supplies. Indorians put focus on strength and military, building many military training centers. Drex issues Indorian law, that young men are drafted into army at the age of thirteen.

Libertia immediately begins to strengthen its border with Indorian as does Roadalia.

    Year 231

    Month 4

Queen Cornelia Irtune dies at the age of fifty-five. She names one of her personal guard, Bernadette Menchaa as her successor. Queen Bernadette turns out to be a devout follower of Azae and makes the worship and practice of the religion law. Any literature, music, or plays that even slightly questioned the existence of the Spirit of Azae are banned and destroyed. The atmosphere of Roadalia starts to change.

Mixed race relationships begin to appear around Roadalia, but are frowned upon at first.

    Month 6

Queen Bernadette appoints her own head priest to the church of Azae, ignoring Ben Yoseg, the Kildran head priest. She chooses a Nomasdae woman named Claire Sha for the position. She changes the name of her personal guard to the Holy Knights of Azae.

    Month 7

Many artists and writers move from the now narrow minded Roadalia to the now flourishing Libertia. Libertia becomes the hub for many scientific discoveries and is now thought of as a place of learning. Several schools on different subjects are built.

    Year 240

    Month 10

Indorian and Roadalia close their borders to common travel almost simultaneously. Queen Bernadette starts holding daily executions of people she deems “Heretics”. The people become paranoid and turn on each other. Friends and neighbors rat each other out for such infractions as not attending church. Queen Bernadette earns the nickname the “Holy Executioner” throughout Zeldwa. The entire nation is put under martial law.

    Year 245

    Month 1

King Amollus III is found dead. He is believed to be assassinated. His eldest son, Ven'del II is next in line for the throne and also general of the Kildran Royal Army. The late King's wife, Queen Suzette claims that her son Ven'del II is the one who assassinated King Amollus III and he did so when he found out that the King was going to pass the crown to Ven'del II's younger brother, Alzwon and not him. The many noble houses choose sides and for a third time Kildra is split into civil war.

The majority of the royal army and noble families side with Ven'del II while the Queen uses the royal family's vast wealth to hire some of the most feared mercenaries in all of Zeldwa. She hires a Nomasdae man named Sieth and his Black Hawk Mercenaries to lead her army against her son. This point in time is known as the beginning of the Third Kildran Civil War.

    Month 4

In the city of Isbul, just South of Kein the two forces meet. In just twelve hours Sieth's Black Hawk mercenaries are able to decimate the Kildran Royal Army.

    Month 7

The largest stone walls ever seen by man begin construction around the borders of Roadalia.

After several more battles, rumors begin to spread through the Kildran army that the Black Hawk's deadliest warrior is only seventeen years old.

    Year 247

    Month 11

The Kildran Royal Army continues to lose numerous battles as they are pushed back towards Kein. The Kildran soldiers live in constant fear of meeting Sieth's “Child of Death” on the battlefield. Sieth also earns the nickname the “Nomasdae Demon” for his own ability on the battlefield. Many on his side refer to him as the “Silver Fox” due to his full head of long silver hair.

    Year 248

    Month 4

The Third Kildran Civil War comes to an end. Ven'del II disappears during the final battle at Kein. With Alzwon being only eleven years old it is decided that Queen Suzette will be the first ruling queen of Kildra until Alzwon's sixteenth birthday.

In a strange turn of events Sieth and his Black Hawk Mercenaries are made wanted men after a supposed attempted attack on the Queen. They flee and soon disappear themselves. Suzette begins the rebuilding process of her nation yet again.

    Month 9

Kildra continues to rebuild as Libertia thrives on in the arts and sciences. Indoria continues to struggle, but their army might continues to grow. Little is heard from inside Roadalia after the finished construction of the Roadalia Wall.

    Year 252

    Month 6

    Present Day

Both Zels Wintso and his cousin, Drex Corge, die within one week of another. Elections are held in Libertia, and they elect a surprisingly young man named, Ed Dweae. Drex's son, Ergle, is appointed general of the Indorian army.

Several Islands around the Southern part of Zeldwa are discovered by sailors. Traveling by sea is still extremely dangerous. Many bandits and raiders take to the seas as ways of pillaging cities and escaping. They are called pirates.

Rain forests are pulled down to build new cities in Libertia.

The thing keeping me away is the intense amount of reading I'd have to do just to see if it's interesting.

Thanks to Lillian, the queen of thorns for making this. (If you understand the joke I applaud you)
