    Dear Diary

Savannah (or Annie, if you prefer) woke up on the soft, sun-baked sand and stared at the light blue sky. Suddenly, panic stroke through her when she realized that she was not aboard the boat. Cautiously sitting up, she stared at all of the former passengers, who were also lying in the sand. This must be just a dream, Savannah thought to herself. She stood up and pulled up her sweatpants as the cool ocean mist sprayed her face.

This is something I could only dream of! The ocean is so beautiful! Savannah had never really earned the chance to see the wide, blue ocean, although she'd seen some of the Great Lakes and many rivers. Oh, how she wanted to just jump into the salty pool of fun and explore! But, although Savannah was not perfect, she knew much better than to do that. If this dream was going to feel like it was real, she was going to have to treat it like it was real.

"Guys? What happened?" She had lost her memory of the horrible storm that had struck her and her fellow "friends", and had found herself confused about what had happened.

When she turned around, she could see a lush green forest. It seemed to be very inviting.

Amelia blinked her eyes a few times and rose to a sitting position, she used her hands to keep her up, she looked around the area, her hair was a mess and she looked like she had been sleeping for an eternity, she yawned and stared at the ocean, dream, definitely a dream, she lay back down in the sand trying to get comfy, wait...sand? she was about to look at what she was laying on when a wave rolled in and washed over her, she got back up to a sitting position with a starfish now on her head, sh spit up some water and sighed, she needs to put less detail in her dreams, she saw another girl standing nearby, that's when she also noticed a bunch of other people laying down on the sand, she stood up and pulled the starfish on her head, she threw it far into the ocean and sighed again, she looked to the girl and decided she might ask her what was going on, "Hey! Amiga!" she yelled waving her arm above her head

Definitely a dream, Savannah chuckled as the girl waved to her. She cowered away shyly, not so sure as to what she should do. "Hi?" She gave a half wave.

Amelia saw her cower away from her a bit, she didn't like that, she jogged over and slid to a stop leaving two lines in the sand, "Hola, where are we?" she said looking around at the people still spread on the ground, she looked back and made a face of realization, "Oh I'm Amelia!" she grinned and offered her hand to shake

Some people had said before that it would be awesome to survive being shipwrecked from a storm in the middle of the night on the unfamiliar waters of a vast ocean.
But to people like Walter Chase, to hell with that notion. This was reality, not some TV show like Lost or video game like Far Cry. When you were marooned on an island with nothing but what's left of your will to live and waterlogged brain, high school and college diplomas meant absolutely nothing here. Compared to the big bustling cities and quiet isolated countrysides, an unidentified island was a whole entire new world.

Walter Chase startlingly woke with a tremendous pain somewhere near his left shoulder, the heat of the spring (whatever season it is) sun searing his exposed skin. He couldn't raise himself to sit upwards, but from what he could see, parts of his t-shirt was torn and stained with blood. His eyes stung from the salty ocean water, with dried sand coming up and sticking to the back of his sheen black hair. Using his right arm, he dragged himself slightly away from where the tide was coming up, and sat upward. There were several splinters ranging from small to medium-sized wooden chips lodged in to his left shoulder, which must've been causing the bleeding, and he proceeded to take them out one by one while unaware of the other survivors around him.

Savannah gave a half grin at the friendly girl. "I'm Savannah-or Annie-or Savvy-or Savvy Anna-just whatever you can think of, I'm cool with it," She chuckled and shook her hand. "Uh, any idea of where we are?"

Elizabeth popped up looking around "Aah...What the hell happened..?" she said as she looked around, seeing some people laugh and hug and whatever. Eli looked around as she stood up, brushing the sand off of her skirt as she ruffled her hair a bit, it was messy and she tried to hair brush it but with her hands.

Elizaveth turned around looking at the others. "Ummm..Where the hell are we? Well me?" she asked looking at the beautiful, sky blue beach. "Its actually...pretty " she said now facing the beautiful green grass and trees.

Richard hesitantly opened his tired eyes. He immediately realized it was a mistake, as the intense sunlight flooded his vision. Flinching, his head jolted to the left, and his right arm rose quickly to block the painful rays. Richard laid in this position for a moment, too weary to move.

A gust of wind suddenly rippled through his drenched clothing. Richard shuddered violently as the breeze chilled him to the bone. Adrenaline kicked in, and he scrambled to his feet, slipped, but caught himself midway. He clumsily grasped at his soaked shirt in a futile attempt to remove it, but it had clung to his body. With a groan of frustration, he threw himself on the sand to regain the desirable warmth. Rick rolled along the beach, his clothing drying, and his body temperature rising slightly. With the water no longer a problem, he pulled his sandy shirt off, then used it to wipe the clumps of salt from his body.

    "Guys? What happened?"

Richard turned towards the voice, a girl facing inland. He hastily put his shirt back on, then rushed towards her and the other still bodies. He put his cupped hands to his lips, then shouted, "Are you alright?!"

Amanda wiggled her fingers and blinked her eyes a few times. She slowly got up and was confused on what was going, she rubbed her eyes and tried walking but her legs had falling asleep. She then heard these talking sound coming from someone and turned her head as she watched as there were survivors around her. She lightly slapped her legs hoping they had been awakened already. After a while she stopped feeling some pain on her legs and sighed " Whoa" she mumbled under her breath thinking if she was actually stranded on an island " What Happened?" she asked to herself.

Amelia's smile faded when Savanah asked the question, "well I was hoping you would know..." she looked to the beach and looked around, were those...planks of wood? "could we actually be..." she let go of the girls hand and did a full 360 turn, "this could be bad..." she turned to the girl worry now written on her face, "I WAS ASLEEP WHEN WE DOCKED!" she obviously had no idea as to what was happening
