The larger skirmishes and battles I'm planning on have several classes; Spears (Unarmored except for leather but wielding six to eight foot spears and daggers) Naginata (Completely unarmored and relying on the polearm for defense) Skirmishers (Armed with Javelins and daggers) Slingers (Armed with slings and rocks) Healers (Not mystical, but basically those unable to learn the basics and used for treating bleeding, making and using bandages, very primitive tourniquets and dressings, etc. Armed at their own discretion with many being completely unarmed) Archers (Armed with a basic longbow design and quiver) and Light Cavalry (Capable of wearing leather and even light scale with shorter spears). Short swords, shields, and daggers are carried for personal protection when travelling but because they're more suited to brute strength than technique. Commanders decided to use weapons tailored to their physiques, and relied heavily on their knowledge of the surrounding environment in conflicts.
The Amazons I'm creating aren't nearly as bloodthirsty as their inspiration was, and I was envisioning that they're a society where for some reason the females only give birth to girls. Their world, a Dark Ages-isque society exists on the edge of normal civilization, and is rapidly being encroached upon by monsters. Tolerated outcasts by normal society, any aid on their part from other cultures is unlikely unless they are directly threatened.
I'd like to add that I'd like to use topographic maps as a basis for the larger scale conflicts and skirmishes, although a simple description of the area and surroundings would be fine for a one versus one. Thank you in advance and to those who've already expressed interest!
Again, if you are interested please at least briefly describe your monsters and their capabilities. Thank you!

You could just make it a free for all and run, with it. Join one side and start posting
That's a thought! I guess I'm just used to more organized styles, but I think I'll try that. I'll start an IC then.
