    Leviathan's Fang IC

The cold mid-winter air slowly saturated the bedroom Mia slept in since she had left her window open the previous night, and as it chilled the room to a drastic temperature, Mia awoke with with a shiver. She groaned, not being a morning person definitely proved to be one of her weaker points, especially in the cold. She looked around and without thinking she used her magic to shut the window, magnetizing the metal pieces in the window to attract to the bottom of the frame to close it shut. She smiled after she saw it close and got dressed in her regular attire quite quickly, excited for what she and the "guild" had planned for today. After all, it was their moving day to the big city.

Mia started the guild, "Leviathan's Fang" when she was a young child, recruiting the magic using children in the village. Overtime, many of them had left, only four remaining, all of them grown up to a certain extent. They started off with doing odd jobs around their town, helping out however they could as young children, and grew up into assisting with hard tasks like hunting, and even defending the village from the occasional bandit attack. Overall, they became well known and the idea of actually becoming a full fledged guild had Mia's mouth practically watering for more of the excitement and happiness she got from helping the village, but on a much larger scale.

This is where moving to the big city comes into play. The guild is an independent guild, so to gain fame and become a fully legal guild, Mia came up with the plan of moving to the city and doing jobs around there. Starting off with small tasks at first of course, but moving on to bigger and bigger jobs until finally the magic council would have to recognize the guild as a legitimate guild and make them a legal guild. Mia could see the entire series of events playing out in her head, over and over again. To say that she was excited would be an understatement, and her parents were slightly concerned since she was never usually this active or determined to do anything, especially on this large o a scale.

After Mia got dressed, gathered her equipment, and ate the breakfast her parents had set out for her, she rushed out the door to each of the other guild members' homes. She started with Gideon Wylde, the Mascarero that had joined her guild a few years earlier. She grinned as she knocked on the door repeatedly using the tiny metal balls that she had combined with her magic, yelling constantly "Gideon, come on!" For a few minutes. When he finally answered the door, she tapped him in the face with one of the balls and said "Bring your things to the main gate of the village. Remember, today is the day we officially start our journey to become full fledged guild members!"

With that, she rushed off to gather the next member, Klaus Droto. She banged hard on the door to his home with one of her steel ropes this time and said "Get up, and you better not bring any of your creepy ass puppets!" When he answered the door, she grinned and stated "Gideon is already on his way to the entrance, bring your things as well. Hurry, after everyone is there, we'll be setting out almost immediately, so yeah, quick!"

She quickly made her way to the home of Mikhail Wulferan Stavka, or Mike for short. She smiled as she almost banged his door down with pure force this time and when he answered, she smiled and said "Hurry, gather things, main gate of village. Leaving immediately!" She didn't say much else as she rushed back to the main entrance of the village and found her parents there with two bags of things for Mia. She smiled softly and gave them each a hug and once everyone else arrived, everyone said their goodbyes. Some were sad to see the group leaving, others were happy to see them pursue their dreams. Overall, they'd be missed but the village was proud to have produced 4 good hearted, strong mages and couldn't wait to see what they could do as a guild.

Once everyone had made their goodbyes, Mia grinned as the village brought out a large cart with metal wheels and she hopped on with everyone else. She waved goodbye one final time as she said "Alright guys, we'll be back someday, hopefully not too soon though." She laughed softly and crouched down as she said "Magnetize." and the wheel slowly began to turn, but they were gaining speed with every passing second. After a few minutes, they were at a pace that rivaled that of many standard trains.

It would be a good two to three day journey to reach the city, so as night began to fall, Mia stopped and had everyone help setup tents and a campfire to rest for the night. She looked around with a tired but happy smile as she said "So...You guys excited!?"

Mike was already up when Mia came knocking at his door. His loose clothes were already hung on him and the large coffin leaning on the chair next to him. He stroked the front of the coffin, it's damaged and dirty surface still the most precious and beautiful thing in the world to him. He hadn't slept the night before out of sheer excitement. Mike knew that he almost certainly wouldn't find what he was looking for in the city but it felt amazing to finally be taking a step towards his goal.

Mike. He had hated that nick name at first, but after years of no one being bothered to add an extra syllable it had grown on him. As he heard Mia's excited voice shout for him from outside he remembered his first days with the guild, the freshness and excitement of finding people whom he could really practice with, people who could really help him. He knew without them he would probably have ended up little more than a sell-sword. He had grown to trust them and now he could finally find real challenges with them. A rare smile crept across his face as he dashed out of his door. He found Mia at the front gate saying her goodbyes and joined in with her, he couldn't help but feel a twinge of sadness as he remembered saying goodbye to his clan, so long ago.

Mike boarded the large cart that the village provided them for transportation, and couldn't tear his eyes away from the village as the cart sped away, gathering speed.

The time passed quickly and before long Mike found himself setting up camp. Mike smiled to himself, saying: "I can't remember the last time I was this excited, our first quest better be something good. First impressions are important you know! We have to watch how people perceive us!"

Klaus was in the process of fixing a chair when he was startled by a knock on his front door. Well it wasn't necessarily a knock, more like the banging of a herd of elephants. Klaus sighed as his mind jumped to the one person that it could be. "Get up, and you better not bring any of your creepy ass puppets!" Mia's voice rang through the door, confirming his assumption. Klaus stood up, dusted his hands off and looked around the room. He took a few paces towards the couch, picked up and threw on a dark gray tank top, covering his upper frame and made his way to the door.

He opened the door and was greeted by Mia's smiling face. "Gideon is already on his way to the entrance, bring your things as well. Hurry, after everyone is there, we'll be setting out almost immediately, so yeah, quick!" She said before quickly speeding off.

Klaus sighed, she was definitely going to pay for that comment about his puppets somehow. He didn't bother closing the door, instead he peered out and observed the weather for today. It was a chilly day, something that Klaus loved. The heat didn't sit well with him, made him feel nervous which was a feeling he was not fond of. He closed the door and set about grabbing the bags he had set out the night before, already prepared for today's journey which would become his new life, and placed them next to the door. After, he slipped on a pair of thick socks and then stuck his feet into his boots, wiggling his feet until they were comfy. At last his gaze fell on the thick, heavy, leather duster he had grown fond of and swung it on, using it a bit more flair than he needed to. He double checked to make certain his "creepy ass puppets" were in their proper place, chuckling at Mia's comment.

He didn't bother saying goodbye to his family, he had done that the night before. He simply let them sleep as he quietly slipped out the door. He knew it would be sometime before he would see this place again, but that thought didn't leave any particularly feeling, maybe a just a little resentment but mainly his body quivered with excitement. He made his way to the main gate, waving and smiling politely at the villagers who stopped to greet him. Though these people had been with him his whole life, he didn't feel an attachment with them, he was however about to leave with the most important people in his life on a quest that they had dreamed about for quite some time.

The group left on a cart that the townspeople had provided, Mia using her magic to get it going. They made good progress and before long, night was coming and the four of them stopped to set up camp. Klaus thought about using one of his puppets to help, but he didn't feel like expending any extra effort than he needed. As they continued setting up the camp, Mia inquired as to everyone's excitement and Mike was the first to answer. Klaus smiled at the enthusiasm.

"This day has been a long time coming. Though I've tried to keep a level head, I can't help but feel an itching in my bones to see where our lives are heading. So count me excited!"

The cheers of the crowd echoed incoherrently throughout the city. The yelling and clapping thundered the scene from wall to wall. Everyone was there. Rich citizens in lavish coats bowed their heads in respect. Street urchin kids darted back and forth through the throngs of people waving sparklers and the boom of fireworks followed their movements. Paupers and beggars even drank heavily this day, and they raised their cups up in a toast of celebration and song. This day, this day was special for some reason. The specific reason was lost to him now. He couldn't remember. Lost in the ecstasy.

And there, at the very center of the city, standing on a high rise, the focus of everyone's revelry, was the infamous
Leviathan's Fang Guild of course. Who else would it be? Gideon stepped forward, arching both fists above his head in a triumphant pose before starting to pump them up and down, then back and forth.

"YEAAAAA!" he tried shouting above the noise, but his voice was lost, intermingled with the celebration of everyone below.

"Thank you Master Gideon! You and your guild are true heroes!" the Mayor, dressed in his fine violet suit and overly decorative lacy white sash bowed deeply, tipping his tophat toward him before beginning to tear up. "Our beloved saviors...I DON'T KNOW WHAT WE'D DO WITHOUT YOOOOU!" he yelled, falling to his knees and clasping his arms around Gideon's legs.

"No probs." Gideon responded smiling and raising his arm behind his back. His eyes scanned the crowd again, and there at the base of the highrise stood a gathering of quite the pretty young gals. They shouted endless words of praise. Things like, "We love you Gideon!" and "Marry me!" and "Marry me AND my sister!"

He felt a whirling sensation of emotion. All positive. This was the best day EVER. This was...

    BANG! BANG! BANG!

    This was...

    BANG! BANG! "Gideon, come on!"

    A dream?

He awoke with a jolt, falling off his modest sized bed and onto the hard wood of the floor. His blanket and sheets all sprawled out about his person, he poked his head out from them and looked about the small room. It was just his tiny house that he rented out after moving from his Grandpas cabin. Just his regular old familiar home with no kitchen and the bathroom that was also his closet. It was a stunning and dissapointing change of scenery from the dream city he had just been immersed in.

"AAAAW...I'm nobody again!" he groaned as he stumbled upward toward the door and put on his tan shorts. He hastily opened his door and was greeted by a tap on the face by a metallic ball. "Ow! Hey, I toldja to watch it with those things!", he grumbled, whiping the dusty remains of sleep from his eyes.

It was Mia, of course. All dressed and brimming with excitement. Gideon's first thought was that if she grinned any wider her face was going to split in two and stay like that.

"Bring your things to the main gate of the village. Remember, today is the day we officially start our journey to become full fledged guild members!" And just as quick as that she was off. Darting to the next house on her root. Probably Klaus. Their giant weirdo puppeteer friend only lived a few blocks down from himself. Gideon smirked as he began to gather his things. Klaus wasn't really a weirdo, they just liked to tease him about it. The guy was so big and burly, especially in that coat he wore, that no one would expect him to be the skilled craftsmen that he was. Even most visitors that came from outside the village would look up at him warily, thinking he was some kind of town guard or the village inn's bouncer. Most likely they thought he was a rough and tumble brute. He got the feeling that even some people in the town still thought of him that way themselves, but they didn't know Klaus. Not the way the three of them did.

"Where's the damn...?" he muttered while tossing clutter all about the room. Mostly trash and weird trinkets he'd found. It was hard to find anything in a closet that you also took showers and peed in. "AHA!" he finally found his brown leather satchel and slung it over his shoulder.

"Alright!" he said boldly and tightened his right hand into a fist. "Let's rock!"
And with that, he bolted out the door, headed straight for the gates and jumped into the wagon, crashing into a few of the townspeople seeing them off as he did so.

"Bye everyone! Can't say I'm sad to go, but I'll miss ya!" he said waving as Mia began to push the cart forward with her magic. "Goodbye one horse town, Heeellloooo Big Citaaay!"

As the wagon kept speeding along, Gideon grew bored. All of his vigor ran out just watching the pastures roll by on their way out. He laid on his stomach, with his chin resting on folded arms. What was worse, he realized he hadn't gotten to eat anything all day! They'd been travelling practically since he woke up that morning. As the sun set and they began to make camp. Mia asked something, but Gideon was too distracted by his own thoughts about his hunger to catch it.

Mikhail, or rather Mike, answered with how excited he was. "We have to watch how people percieve us." he said pointedly.
Gideon snorted at that. Typical Mikey. he thought to himself. He's gotten so powerful and skilled with his magic it's not even funny. Why does he still worry about what anyone thinks of 'im? Ha!

Klaus also readily chimed in his excitement. Gideon balled his right hand into a fist while wrapping his left arm around Mia's shoulder. "Yea, yea! We're all real excited. Why wouldn't we be? We're all strong and ready! And I'm so pumped I could.."

His words were cut off by a high pitched rumbling sound that echoed from his stomach. It sounded like a small cat was trapped down there or something. He took his arm from Mia's shoulder and doubled back, crouching toward the ground and hugging at his midsection. "Why'd we have to leave so eeeearly!" he whined as his stomach continued to groan in protest of his hunger. "You know I can't travel on an empty stomach! You expect to do any good when your guild members are starving? Wasting away?" he whined as he continued to huddle over himself.

Mia laughed as she listened to the group go on, especially Gideon, about everything and slipped out of his arm, saying 'Oh be quiet. I knew we'd all be hungry now so of course as the guildmaster, or mistress I should say, I brought a bunch of things for us to cook, here." She opened on of her bags filled with food and cooking supplies. She set up a small stacks of sticks and using some tools her parents had provided, she got a fire started, and then set a pot over. The said pot was filled with a various array of vegetables, like carrots and potatoes, while also having some beef in it. She grinned and said "I figured we'd want something warm, so what's better than a beef stew?"

After letting it cook down, she dished out a bowl full to everyone and said "Everyone can get two more bowl fulls, so don't hesitate to go for seconds and thirds." She took the first spoonful, and after a moment said "Well, it's not gonna kill us so that's good enough for me." She ate at a decent pace, watching everyone eat as she mulled over the idea of being guild master. She never really felt the drive to do much in her life, so she was quite astonished with herself and how well she had taken the helm of the whole situation. She had labeled herself guild master, but everyone seemed to agree with it, so she ran with it, taking charge of everything. She smiled softly as she watched everyone and waited for everyone to finish eating.

Once the last person set their bowl down for good, Mia stood up and said "Alright guys, I've been doing a lot of thinking and research after getting mail about possible jobs we can do in the city, so this job came to mind. It's a tough job, supposedly it was almost ranked as an s rank mage only type job. There's a gang of mages that had disbanded their guild and took over a territory of the city and have been using it to commit whatever crimes they wanted. They are technically a dark guild but only seven of the original fifty remain, so it should be fairly easy to take them out if we coordinate our fighting well enough and take them down one by one. Unfortunately, there is no known information on the mages other than their nickname, "The Seven Sins." Supposedly each of them has a magic that is related to a deadly sin, wrath, greed, gluttony, envy, sloth, vanity, and lust. So, we're going to beat them, restore order to their territory, and consequently put our guild on the map and hopefully, the government will recognize us as a legal guild. If they don't, we'll at least be in their sights and just need a few more jobs done to become a real guild."

She grinned and said "Alright boys, get some sleep, we have two more days worth of travelling to get to the city." With that said, she went off to her tent and went to sleep for the night.

    -Two days later-

After the next two days had past and the group had finally reached an inn to stay at for the night, they were fully rested and ready to tackle the next problem they had head on, handling the Seven Sins. Mia guided the group along with her map and when they reached the edge of the crime sector, they were stopped but Mia already had a plan ready. The guard stopped them, explaining that the area ahead was a dangerous zone for them, but Mia lifted her short leg up slightly to reveal a tribal style leviathan and said "We're a new mage guild that just arrived coming to handle the job, let us through." The guard nodded and ordered the other guards to let the group passed and Mia led them along with a smile.

Once inside, a gate was sealed behind them and the guards returned to duty, Mia explaining "You'll have to get these tattoos on you after we get this job done, now lets hur-" and she was cut off as a giant of a man approached them. He stood around seven feet tall, short red hair, blood read eyes, and was a muscly guy. He grinned quite evilly at the group and said "Now they have children after us? How pathetic." in a deep voice.

Mia chuckled and said "Wrath I presume?" He nodded and said "Yes, Wrath, the spirit of rage, one of the seven deadly sins! Now, taste my almighty fi-" and was cut off with a strike of one of Mia's steel coiled ropes to the face. He was knocked flat onto his back as he yelled out "How dare you impudent chi-" and once again he felt the cold, quick, strong steel striking his face once more. Mia yawned and said "Why do the bad guys always have to go on a long tangent about how much better they are than the rest of us?"

After the second hit, Wrath rushed Mia, yelling out "Almighty Fist, Gattling Strike!" and sent a flurry of fists created by magic energy at Mia, she didn't move and said "Magnetic Ball bearing shield!" and the tiny balls formed a shield that blocked all the strikes. She then created an opening and said "Magnetic Blade Dance!" and sent her throwing knives out, creating many cuts along Wrath's body. The man groaned in pain and yelled "Almighty Fist, Cataclysm Hammer!" jumping into the air and creating a giant fist made of energy, swinging it straight down at Mia.

She just stared up and yelled "Ultimate Magnetic Symphony!" Sending out all of her weapons at Wrath. They didn't hurt him at all, and he laughed as they seemingly passed him and he said "You've lost your aim girly!" and Mia simply replied "I wasn't aiming for you." and then several structures surrounding Wrath right as he was about to hit Mia collided straight into him, knocking him and his attack far away from Mia. Mia hit several steel structures with her wepaons to weaken them and make then easier to manipulate with her magic, and then hit wrath with them. She pulled out her Mercury Vial and said "Liquid Magnetic cuffs!" and chained Wrath's hand's together, and then she used the surrounding metal structures that had fallen to cage him up, pulling the mercury back into the vial and called the guards in to take him. He groaned and said "I might've have lost, but if this is your best, then the others will beat you."

Mia sighed and said "We'll just have to get better than." She faced her group and said "Alright guys, one down, and six left to go,, we can do this right?"

The city was amazing, it's hustle and bustle a world away from what Mike was used to. He had seen city's of course, but always from the outside, far away. They had looked like ant nests, where swarms of busy people jostled with each other. Up close it was worse than he thought. They drew a lot of attention, probably not the good kind either. He felt dazed, what if they didn't like outsiders? Or if they didn't like magic users? What if they try to lynch us? He knew he was being irrational and he would get used to it, but he just couldn't help asking himself all of these questions.

As they approached the blocked off area he felt calmer but not a lot calmer. They were walking straight into an area which their enemies knew well with not a lot of information at all. The guards were well armed and just the sight of weapons sent a small rush of adrenaline around Mike's body. Mia showed them a tattoo and the guards let the group through. It was an elegant tattoo, Mia had really come through on that point. Just as she was explaining about it a huge, muscular man approached them. Mikhail's nerves where on edge and he was on the verge of talking as the man spoke to them. However Mia shut him up quickly, and took him down with no problem. Mike was starting to have faith in them, however the man did seem to admit that he was the weakest.

"Six to go? We have to be more careful, if they rush us at the same time we won't stand a chance." Mike said, a pensive look on his face. "Do we have a plan or are we just going for a search and destroy style approach?"

After two days they finally arrived at the city. While the others were taking in the sights and smells of the city, Klaus' mind had drifted to what Mia had said that first day after dinner. She sure had picked an interesting first mission, or rather he should say a difficult one; The Seven Sins. But Klaus was confident that if it came down to it, they could come out on top. They'd definitely be a bit bruised and beat up, but together they had overcome so much already, there was no way that they would fail on their first mission. The truth is, they've all been itching to prove themselves and this was the perfect opportunity, Klaus is particular was yearning to see how much he has improved.

Once morning came, they followed Mia towards where the dark guild had taken residence. Klaus had his hands in his pocket when he noticed that Mike was seemingly a little dazed, maybe intimidated by the size of bustle of the city. Instinctively Klaus took a step closer to Mike trying to put some assurance in his gaze. At last they reached the edge and were stopped by a guard. But after Mia explained that they were a guild and showed her tattoo, an elegant and pretty thing. They stepped inside and the gate was sealed shut after them. Mia began explaining that each of them had to get the tattoo once they became a guild and Klaus' mind drifted to where he would get it. He thought he'd like to get it on his chest, since he usually wore tank tops and that would expose the tattoo to view and show that he was proud of his guild.

Mia however was interrupted along with Klaus' thoughts by the sudden appearance of a gargantuan man. Being the largest of the four there, Klaus instinctively stepped to Mia, planning to aid her. But she quickly interrupted the man and had managed to incapacitate him without the aid of the others. Klaus smiled at the skill Mia displayed, but his good spirits were brought back down as the man spoke, claiming that he was the weakest and that the other six would be more than they could handle.

Klaus' mind raced as the others began discussing what to do, thinking of strategies. He agreed with Mike's idea to seek them out individually and defeat the mages together. However he felt that wouldn't be enough.

"We can do this, we've been through so much already. And I definitely agree with Mike, we should stay together, try and separate them and then make our move. Chances are that someone has heard the commotion here." He reached into his duster and pulled out a metallic ball. "We could move to a location and set a trap for them. Using one of my puppets I can have it search for a target and then lure them back to where we are waiting. Then we can behave as cats, natural predators. Obviously we have to exercise patience. What cats do is they wait and wait for their prey to show and then pounce, biting the neck at the same time to snap the spinal cord. I suggest we lie in wait and strike all together and take them down as fast as possible."
    To die is to start.

Gideon rubbed at his crusty eyelids as they strode towards the warded off zone of the city. He hadn't slept well their last night at the inn. Of course, staying up all night gambling with the locals hadn't helped. Still, he wore a genuine smile. He'd never been to a real city before and his excitement was still an overwhelming torrent of energy that swept through his entire body. His brain in particular.

He barely noticed that they had made it past the guards. His attention was constantly being demanded by the environment. Even around the warded off district where not many people trode up and down the streets, there was still a breathtaking view of the lower parts of the city below from where they had came. He could even see the inn they had settled in from atop the curving hillside rode.

How can so many people live and work alongside each other here? Wouldn't they run out of resources and end up fighting one another until the city walls bled from the inside out? He thought to himself as they walked further into the dangerous lair of these "seven deadly sins" characters. He shook his head and decided to pay more attention to their surroundings, scanning each area of the place with narrowed eyes for focus. He had to do that often since coming to the city, shake off the curious thoughts that kept popping up in his head. He had to keep reminding himself that he wasn't in the forrest anymore. Not even his time spent in the town could have prepared him for life in the world outside.

The walls that surrounded this part of town had become a barren looking tan color, impossible to tell if they were made of slate rock or bricks. The air took on a purplish hue the further they walked towards the center of the district. Metal spires and constructs surrounded the area, creeping along the townhomes like silvery vines. And besides for the look of the place, something in the air felt a bit more ominous. Something felt...wrong.

His thoughts were soon cut off as a gargantuan figure, as if out of nowhere, came to a poised position in front of them. A very large man with arms folded. The shock of seeing him made Gideon jump back, almost as if to hide himself behind Klaus. Admittingly his large friend's black duster made for excellent cover, and he did feel a bit safer for that one moment of weakness. Gideon didn't like to be surprised. If anything he favored being the surpriser! Even so, he quickly poked his head out from behind Klaus, Mikhail looking on with a wide eyed expression. Neither of them had moved from their position, but Mia...Mia had made short work of this Wrath fellow. Even if it did, for a moment, look like he was about to crush her beneath the weight of an awesomely powerful attack.

She sighed after her prisoner had been taken away, then turned to the three of them for reassurance. They never formally announced her as their guild leader or anything. But if they ever did trouble themselves with that sort of tedious beurocracy, the vote would've been unanimous. Mia had definitely shown, today, at this moment more than any other time, that she was a mage worthy of the title.

Mike, still looking as candid as ever with that coffin slung over his shoulder, made a questioning remark as to their plan of action. Klaus began to sputter off a plan of action, probably very tactical and logically sound. But Gideon was never one for waiting around to figure things out. He'd already begun to shuffle through his leather satchel, fingerless brown gloves searching for his mask. "Found it!" he yelled triumphantly as he pulled out a round mask of white porcelain. It was shaped in the likeness of a reptile, with blue, green, and yellow spotted throughout the white in a festive looking scale formation. He hurredly shoved the mask in front of his face with one hand and said in a loud boisterous tone, "Chameleon Face!"

A circle of magic energy pooled around his feet, green and white hues of light surrounding his body. The mask fromed onto his face, changing his appearance. Within moments his skin and face took on scales that shone translucently, and his face became more narrow, larger eyes that sat on either side of his face to look in both directions at once. Even his loosely fit green jacket vest became more of a scaley silhouette that changed colors with the surrounding walls and townhomes.

Gideon punched a fist into an open palm. "The only way to go from here issss forward! So let's do thissss!" his now longer tongue hissing the 's' sounds of his speech. With that, he took off at a run, closer to the heart of the district. His scales blending in flawlessly with the area, even at his quickened pace. It'd been a while since he'd actually used his magic. It felt good. The change of body. An enemy to fight. He felt like he had purpose.

Gideon latched his hands up against the wall of a tall building. They stuck there effortlessly, as a chameleon's own sticky fingers would. He began to scale the building to the very top, looking out onto the grounds below from his perch. He waited a few more moments, still scanning the area, until...There!

A rounded structure, that looked much like a small scale collisseum, shone with a curious purple light. It was the only thing he could see from atop the building that looked out of the ordinary, so he began to climb back down. Once he was on the ground again, he'd make his way toward that round building with it's white pillars, reflecting that strange purple light.

    CRASH!
Something had exploded directly above Gideon, warping the stone and creating a hole where he had just been sliding downward not a moment before. Call it intuition, or a hunch, or dumb luck (as most that knew Gideon would), but he had sensed something dangerous coming his way, and jumped from the tall spire just in time to evade whatever attacked him. He met the ground with his forearm, rolling as he did onto his knees in a crouched position.

"Hey watch it!" he yelled through the dust and debris. He waited there for a moment, allowing himself to take in his surroundings and adjust his scales to hide himself again, while still looking out for any more dangerous explosions heading his way. "Jussst wait 'till I get my handssss on ya!" he roared one last threat of defiance into the dust before it began to settle.

The crash had provided the perfect chance for the next of the seven sins to make there move, and Mia knew it. She yelled out to Mike and Klaus "You two stick together and follow me! We have to get to Gideon before the sins do!" She mentally began her lecture/yelling speech that she would have for Gideon once they were out of danger. She knew that he would be excited, possibly overwhelmed with getting into the city and fighting the sins, but she also knew that this side of him would definitely prove to be a danger that could cost the more than just a few bruises like in their practice sessions. This time, their lives were one the lines, and Mia felt 100% that she was responsible for them.

Meanwhile, the next of the seven sins heard the crashing and grinned wickedly to herself, saying "Looks like another fly is here for me." The woman made her way to where Gideon had crash and watched as he yelled and moved about, chuckling as she said in a dangerously low tone "Not before i get my hands on you. 1000 hand technique, 250 limb grapple." Out of the darkness came 1000 hands made of pure magic energy in an orange color, 250 going to each specific limb to become giant orange fists that held Gideon's body in place. They turned him to face his opponent, the next of the seven sins.

She grinned and snapped her fingers, causing them to disappear and drop Gideon and she laughed deviously. She eyed the young man and said "Oh, I see, a young hopeful mage. Well young one, I am Greed, the 1002 handed mage. I'm sure you can guess my magic skills are?" She grinned and called out "1000 hand technique, 500 hand gauntlets and formed to large orange glowing fists around her normal ones.

Around the same time, Mia and the gang showed up in time to see Greed arm herself and just as she was about to strike with her steel rope, a pink chain came and deflected it. A man appeared and said "I'm Lust, and I'm sorry honey but I just can't let a precious little thing like you go." He liked his lips lustfully and Mia said to Mike and Klaus "You two go and help Gideon with the other sin. I need to handle this pretty boy right now!"

The two began to exchange attacks as Greed turned to see the others arrive and said "Oh, perfect. More play things. Hopefully Envy or Gluttony can get here soon to help me." She grinned and charged at Gideon, yelling "Although, I'll clean you up so quick that it won't matter!" and launched her left straight at Gideon's neck/head area. She'd probably hit both and his shoulders with the size of her fists if she made contact.

Mike watched as the two sins emerged from the rubble around Gideon. This was exactly what they didn't need, he thought to himself, struggling to keep a cool head about the situation. He started thinking about all the ways they could be killed, but more importantly all the ways not to be killed. Two of the sins at once was a whole lot more unpleasant variables than just the one. Mike furrowed his brow and sighed, thinking would get nothing done at this stage he guessed. He'd use the skills he knew and hopefully do as much damage as he could before probably getting torn to pieces by a group of angry sins.

It's like Gideon wants to be killed, thought Mike to himself. Knowing Mia, he would be getting a lecture, even if it was in the afterlife. It was just then when he heard Mia shout orders and he instinctively reacted them, dropping himself into a fighting stance and moving between Gideon and the tall threatening woman as she launched her attack. This was the first time he had used his magic in a real combat situation, to say he was nervous was an understatement. If this didn't work he would take some serious damage.

Raising his arm Mike murmured "Flesh make splinter gun". His fore-arm quickly changed shape, elongating and taking the form of a slender, muscly barrel, tapering at he end. As the hands closed in, the gun rippled, a hail of bullets made of bone spraying from the end and destroying the hands. Mike followed up this success by shouting "Flesh make: Fang", firing a massive, boney spike from the barrel which span, like a drill towards the woman. Mike smiled to himself.
