Summoner's Spirit OOC

Hello! This is the OOC for Summoner's spirit, an open enrollment RP. no matter how far into the rp we are, we will always be accepting new members!

Now let's get started!

Summoner's Spirit is an experimental RP i came up with to test some ideas. a lot of details will change as i work bugs out, so please be patient.

the idea is that each player will have a spirit partner, and the spirit's power is based on their name. all names come in a A|B format, and either A or B can be switched out to change the powers. for example, my spirit, Orihime has the powers of thread magic as her name suggests (Orihime being Japanese for "Weaving Princess"). Orihime is separated into two parts, Ori and Hime. i can exchange either part for the part i have in backup, Kiba (Fang), turning her name from Weaving Princess into either Fang Princess or Weaving Fang.

Next I will explain the different sections of the RP.
any text colored blue will be a post for the Supernatural Police Force. people who need to pay attention to this text are Criminals and Citizens, not to mention fellow members of the force. generally, these posts will involve Police work, such as tracking and apprehending Criminals. when off-duty, officers of the Force will change their text toCyan! this indicates that you are not acting on the clock and are not subject to the rules or benefits of being on duty, with a few exceptions. when you are off duty you can bluff people to make you think you are still working, and an off duty officer still maintains higher authority than a normal citizen.

Moving on!

Red text indicates that you are a criminal! a criminal often works outside the bounds of the law and cannot enter a tournament or hold a job without disguises. anyone who is not in a tournament match must read red text, and if notified, anyone in a tournament as well.

Next!

Anyone using green text is designated a tournament fighter. only other tournament fighters need to pay attention to these posts, unless they are affected by the tournament.

And finaly!

Anyone sporting this fashionable yellow text is a normal citizen! a citizen is a neutral player, only loosely affected by other people. a citizen may change their text color if approved.

there are benifites and drawbacks to each style:

Police cannot earn name pieces normally, but instead can take one of the names from a criminal they caught when they are promoted. Police have a much higher authority however.

Criminals take any name pieces they want from their victims, but if they are caught that character cannot be played again and the player must make another to continue. the spirit on the other hand is free to be used again.

Tournament Fighters must give the winner of the fight one name piece if they lose. if a fighter has no extra name pieces left, they can fight once more. if they lose again, they are removed from the tournament until the next set.

Citizens have the lowest authority, and they must be inactive for a period of time designated by their job. but they are the safest group, and can earn money to buy name pieces from auctions.

Spirit Partner: Mechanica Sicarius- the Mechanical Assassin. An engineering genius from the Roman Era, Mecha was also a spy and assassin for the Emperor. She has taken to Modern life very well and is literally able to enter computers or control machines from afar. She also has a way of disappearing into the shadows and taking Cypher with her, if stealth is required. However, if things become more violent, she has the Vulnus (Stab) name piece which transforms her arms into razor sharp blades which she puts to very good use.
Personality: Cypher is an anarchist. She does what she does because she can, rather than for monetary gain. She enjoys a challenge, willing to take risks. She is willing to kill innocent people if she feels they might be problematic in the future. All of this said, she's not without a sense of humour, however twisted, cynical and dark it is. Cypher, of course, takes great interest in technology but tends to leave the majority of the work to Mecha, who is much better at that sort of thing.

Spirit Partner: En'Neko (Flame Cat) - The spirit En'Neko was born during pre-feudal era of Japan. It is an extremely wise cat spirit of fire who originally resided in a small shrine in japan. He is a cat of fire and can use fire magic at will, he also knows a bit of healing magic.
Extra name part: Kingu (King)
Personality:
Takeo is a loudmouthed troublemaker. He enjoys talking quite a bit, as well as joking around with people. Takeo is quite friendly with people, but has no regard for the common law, often he ignores it. He doesn't understand law, and doesn't know why everyone is so compelled to follow, why should he listen to those of inferior power to him. He use his abilities to suit his desire, he uses his abilities to kill, showing that he lacks a sense of morality.

and korean, criminal here has a much more specific meaning. it means someone who breaks the law in such a way that the SPF is called to capture them. disturbing the peace and stealing are things the normal police handle, the SPF handles murders and supernatural armed robbery.

Spirit Partner: Orihime (weaving princess) - an old spirit born in feudal japan who adopted modern values and mannerisms. in her original state, she uses threads and thread magic as her weapon, and can bind her foes or do any number of things with thread. she has the name piece Kiba in backup, making her a formidable opponent at best.
personality: fun loving and good natured most of the time, Artemis is an all around good guy. a bit of a temper makes him someone not to mess with, but given the choice he would rather trade numbers than blows. he was the first person in 400 years to bond with a spirit, and his bond with Orihime is what brought the rest of the spirits out of hiding. a child prodigy, Artemis could do anything he wants, and he chose to start the SPF.

Spirit Partner: - Schattenkrieger- an old spirit born in Germany during the dark ages. though he has adopted modern knowledge and views; he still holds onto the old ways. shunning guns in favor of melee weaponry and occasionally crossbows. in life, he was an assassin and warrior, and echos this in his ability to disappear into shadows and offer near silence to the footsteps of whom he's bonded to. he can also give knowledge of how to wield most bladed weapons as well. as an ace in the hole he has the name piece Blut (blood) in reserve, which allows him to transfer his own wounds to his opponent.
personality: jack is a rather withdrawn person. he's highly intelligent and can be quite manipulative. due to his personality, intelligence and the spirit to which he's bound. when he passed through the academy, he was put to work in the intelligence division, specifically as a field agent to gather Intel on criminals through posing as a tournament participant.

Personality: Playful and fun, yet brave and a strong fighter. Went into the police academy and was the top of his class, but now he's finding that the real deal is much more difficult than he had anticipated.*

Spirit Partner : Bliksem Duivel ( Lightning Devil) A spirit that was "born" in the Netherlands. She mostly relies on her incredible speed as well as electricity in this form. Although she has been in America for quite a while Bliksem Duivel still has some problems with the language, and she and Danny tend to talk in Dutch when they want to keep something secret ( I will add translations though).Her second name piece IJs (Ice) allows her to freeze just about anything, this is more powerful in cold locations/conditions.
Personality : Danny can be cruel to those he has at his mercy. While he is a competent criminal in his own right tends to act as a follower for others, this is mostly in an attempt to get the SPF to underestimate him.

Spirit Partner:Laminis Inferno(hell blades,Latin) Vincent is unsure of how this ancient spirit came to find him and what his origins actually are but what he does know is that this spirit prefers to do things in a straight forward brutal manner,not that Vincent minds he himself being responsible for over 7 murders,Vincent finds it easy to talk to Laminis though because he speaks english just as well as latin,Laminis Inferno gives Vincent the power of creating small blades that appear in the palm of his hand a throwing knife to be more specific and that makes Vincent already deadly because he is a perfect shot when it comes to thowing just about anything,Inferno can also be switched with Dilatantur(Expanding) that lets Vincent be armed with two flaming board sowrds.

Personality:Vincent is old fashion when it comes to a lot of things whether it be murder which he prefers to do up close with blades or making a coffee that he enjoys with no sugar,he is not you avarge guy and makes people uneasy fairly quickly he also has an extremely twisted sense of humor,he will find himself often laughing at his victems as they beg for mercy but other than that he has a emotionless face most of the time,very hard to tell what his thinking
