Most Important Rule
Unlike the other rules which you learn as you play the game, this one must be given up front. I can't enforce this, but the game is significantly less fun if broken. You are not supposed to talk to each other about any aspect of what your character is doing in the game. This includes but is not limited to: your player's health, location, where the monster is, what item(s) they have, if they are alive, and anything else which other characters wouldn't know about. There will be methods which allow you to communicate with each other, but like everything else, you won't know about these things until you find out in game.

I...think that's meant to be young Voldemort? It was the only image I could find that didn't make me bishi-vomit.
So basically, I got this idea after someone showed me this:
Basically the premise is that X characters are preforming a Kimodameshi(test of courage) in their school, where they find a cursed tailsmen. Like most of these stories start, one character is unlucky enough to touch it, and that is where the fun begins. At that point the school building becomes a rather dangerous place with three hazards. A ghost, a murderer, and a curse. Traveling through a mini-map, the characters try to stay alive as long as possible by avoiding these. Can they last the night?

Depends how many people are interested. I expect the mini-map won't take very long to make, and if people want to make their own characters it won't take long at all. It could start as early as tomorrow.

If we add any more hazards, the players will die far too quickly.

Whenever you encounter a hazard, you roll a 20 sided die. If your dice roll is lower than the roll the hazard rolls, you will become afflicted with a number of unpleasant effects.
The ghost is a hazard that hides in classrooms and avoids hallways. The ghost will attempt to possess characters. If it succeeds, the character will have no idea they are currently possessed, nor will they recognize what actions they take while possessed(these memories are restored if the ghost leaves the body). The only way the ghost will leave the body is if the player possessed by the ghost kills someone.
The murderer is a hazard that walks around the hallways, but it also tries to look inside classrooms. The murderer is the most dangerous threat because it is actually targeting players. Making noise and being sighted by the murderer will cause it to try to chase you. Whenever you encounter the murderer, you start with up to two options run(not available outside of the hallway, but gives +5 to your roll) or fight(you roll like normal). If you lose, you die. However, the good news about the murderer is that by traveling in groups, you gain the option to save each other from the murderer if you don't run. If you want to save someone who gets a lower roll than the murderer, you have two options; overpower the murderer(roll again, but this time ties count as losing rolls) or sacrifice yourself(roll again, but your roll gets +13. If the roll succeeds, you die in their place if they would die.) Only one person is killed by the murderer at a time(If multiple people would die, one is selected randomly among them), but everyone who loses to the murderer is injured next turn(injured players can't move)
The curse is a hazard that affects players who remain idle. If you decide to remain in the same room, the curse will cause panic attacks, profound sadness, or hallucinations in characters who lost the roll. Fortunately the curse gets -15 to its rolls, but this number decreases by 3 each turn you don't go into the hallway. You better hope that you have enough characters able to calm each other down, otherwise that murderer will definitely be coming your way soon.
While this isn't exactly a hazard, players are able to affect each other. There aren't any limits to what characters can do, but as a rule, all disputes are decided with dice.
^Feel free to never read any of this. When you encounter hazards I will always tell you what happens.
I don't want to bother making this if there isn't any interest, but if anyone wants me to make this, please let me know. Also, I can either make preset characters or allow everyone to make their own. The upside to preset characters is having established relationships, but obviously that comes at the price of creative freedom. I think I can trust everyone to collaborate with their character designs, but I'd rather leave that call up to the players. Lastly, please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions.
