You can read about the place I'm investigating tomorrow. :3
So, I am a firm believer in the supernatural and ghosts and all of that nifty stuff and after my Brit Lit and Mythology class, I have just been in a spooky kind of mood. Anyone have some local legends about the area where they live or some nifty ghost stories you have heard? Even some possible things that have happened to you. Whether you believe them or not, I don't give a damn. I just want to read something interesting. :3

Yeah I lived, and now live right next to Chicago.
I live in northern europe dear. We are folklore central. What would you like to hear about?
Grey Lady?
Changelings?
Huldra?
Fey?
Elves taking your kids, forcing them to dance to death?
Gnomes living under your floorboard?
Näcken?
made by the ever charming and talented Lillian Thorne.
I'll not go into all the ones I know as I promised to save them for an RP I'm in but I'll tell you two from where I live.
Dead man's dyke is a story about a man who went stir crazy and chased someone else with an axe. The guy they were chasing hid in a dyke until he left but the sides where too steep so he couldn't get out, eventually he slipped down to the bottom and drowned in the 3 inches of water there and a crow came to peck out his eye. So now his ghost haunts the field the gyke runs through.
The other one is the lady in white who was meant to be walking her dog through the woods when he ran off after a squirel. She ran after him through the brambles and ferns tripping and hitting her head on a rock which killed her. This one was told when my Grandma was a little girl about some woods near the main road she haunted but when I was in school it got kind of a Bloody Mary take on it that if you ran up some stairs calling her name she would kill you between the seventh and eighth step. We did it all for dares though and no one from my class has died yet.
I have decided to leave the guild for an indefinite period of time, long story short I have issues with depression that I need to focus on dealing with.

Yes but I'm not interested in telling you. I'll tell it to who I trust.
There's a bar/tavern in my hometown that used to be a brothel back when logging was big in Wisconsin. Apparently a lumberjack came through and murdered a few women, and then threw them down the stairwell. Since then there have been a number of deaths and injuries with people falling down those same stairs. Survivors have claimed that they were pushed but that no one was around.

There are too many experiences to tell, and WAY too many stories and legends of South Carolina. The whole state is freakin' haunted if you ask me.
