A Natural War (IC)

The sky was a dazzling show of twinkling stars and a round full moon. The night was crisp and clean. It was eerily calming and peaceful in the clearing. Until your nose could pick up the metallic smell of blood, your ears could hear faint moans and groans of pain echoing from the dying warriors. When you looked at the ground and all around, blood was splattered everywhere, limbs and body parts scattered from the gruesome fight that had just ended. Vampires and werewolves alike, lay on the ground, their life force slowly dwindling til they were able to experience the pure bliss of calming painless death.



Audrey's combat boot stomped on to the vampire's head, crushing it with all her force and killing the screaming vampire. "That was the last one." She murmured softly, wiping some blood from her lip. Blood was splattered across her black leather jacket and dark blue jeans. Her shirt and pants were ripped up everywhere and she was bleeding from her forehead and lip. Her hair was a wild mess. "Everyone. Head back for now." She announced to the pack of warriors she had brought with her. "I'll stay for a bit."

"Why master, why did you let them slaughter our brethren so easily?..we could have sent more." asked Thoth.
"Do not question my motives Thoth." replied the vampire king as he watched from above.
"My lord; forgive me..I would never question your motives...I..I was only curious." pleaded Thoth.
Lucien watched the mutts run away,believing they had won some type of victory..."Those poor misguided souls."
"It was a test, Thoth..I wanted to see what they were made of." said Lucien.
"Now that I know how these animals fight, it shall be easier to pick them off." said the vampire king as he retreated back to his keep.
"Do we follow them?...my lord?" asked Thoth as he hurriedly caught up to his master.
"Send a few trackers, I want know where their den is." replied Lucien.
"Yes master, it shall be done as you command." said the hulking vampiric beast, as he flew away from Lucien to his undead soldiers awaiting for orders.

Jacob sat, leaning against a tree. He had been listening to the sounds of war for hours now... No matter where he went, the war seemed to be everywhere. It had finally died down. He got up, looking out to the battlefield where corpses lay, surrounded by blood... He had seen so much of it in his lifetime. The blood of his parents when they had died to save him... The blood that poured out of his arm when he was attacked by that Bear... And now, the gallons of blood spilt to settle something that has existed between Werewolves and Vampires for centuries... All of his most vivid memories seemed to contain the evil red liquid. He sank back down against the tree slowly, shaking his head. He may not be particularly fond of either races, but war saddened anyone...

Audrey spit on the ground, her saliva a dark red. "This is becoming unbearable. Alicen is overwhelmed with medicinal stuff to do." She sighed, wiping her forehead from the blood that was slowly seeping out of the gash on her forehead. The scars on her face were more evident as she scowled, bitterly. Head back to my pack's village for now. We must discuss some things. And that means now please. Thank you. She sent to her two fellow alpha's. She stretched as her nose twitched. There was someone else here. A human. No threat for her.

Cassandra stood on guard outside her packs current sleeping arrangements, which consisted of dense brush and trees, they were cramped together but all was quiet as they slept, she was bored and she felt she hadn't done enough to help the wolves side since she hasn't joined the war that had taken place just off in the distance, but she was worried about the safety of her people, after all they didn't have powers like the other tribes, sighing deeply she pushed off the log she was sitting upon and padded into the trees toward the battle field to assess the damage.

Jacob looked around, trying to find something to take his mind off of what had taken place here tonight. He looked over the battlefield and saw Audrey. She sniffed the air and then brought her head down, facing towards him. He quickly hid behind the tree. He remembered the savage beasts that had attacked his village and couldn't help but shake with fear. One of those... Things, could soon be after him.

Audrey stared at the tree blankly before sauntering over. "Calm down. You're no threat to me so I won't attack. If you need to watch out for anyone, watch Jericho. He lives for it." She said bluntly, rolling her eyes. She leaned against the tree opposite to him, crossing her arms. An atmosphere of leadership and intimidation could be felt melting off of her, her scarred face still managing to look somewhat regal.

Jacob looked at Audrey. He still shook with fear and now a new sense of intimidation added to his emotions. "I-I-I've had bad experiances with... Your kind..." He stuttered. Her eyes seemed to burn into him, and her scarred face showed of her many fights that she had been in. He merely had a scar from a Bear. Fighting a Bear with no weapon is not a good idea...

"My kind? Please. I'm must as much human as you are. At least like this." Audrey scoffed before shrugging. "Eh. Well I'm pretty sure that I won't hurt you so yeah. If I'm scary wait till you see Jericho." She chuckled before kicking a stone. "Well I have business to attend to. Bye bye for now." She said, a small friendly smile spreading on to her lips as she waved before darting off back to her pack.

Jericho was standing in the middle of a ring, surrounded by his warriors in the center of the village he called his home. He was holding a wooden stake in both hands, standing above a battered and bleeding vampire female, who looked no older than fourteen."You have been charged with murder and have been sentenced to death. How do you plee?" He snarled, pulling her to her knees by her hair. All she could muster for words came out between cries."No! Please!" He circled her, glaring down at her."Shall we spare her?!" He called, and was answered by the masses."Kill her!" They cried."Spill her blood" Jericho raised the stake, and brought it down through her neck with a sickening sound."Justice!" He cried, and they responded."Justice!"
