Resident Evil : The New Darkness (re-vamp)

This was an RP I had about a month ago that fizzled, but I'd like to give it another chance and see if anyone is interested.

A scientist sets out to find what they think is a cure for cancer. But in reality they are tricked into using a strand of the C-virus to create an all-new strain. When they realize what is happening, they attempt to destroy the virus but it gets released instead and begins to spread quickly through the United States. This 'X-Virus is powerful and fast, working within ten minutes, turning it's host into the walking dead.
The BSAA and Neo-Umbrella have set in agents to find the virus, one to use as weapon and the other to destroy it.
Both sides are searching for the scientist as they race against time to find a way to stop the virus before there is nothing left to save.
But there is something that neither side knows...
there is a cure...

This RP will be set after RE 4 and before 6, sort of an inbetween the games thing. Which means characters that died in RE 5 (*cough* Wesker *cough) are still alive and can be played. Cannon characters will be used along with original. You may have up to two characters : one cannon and one original. Or just one of either.

Rules:

1) No fighting in the OOC. You get one warning and then you will be deleted from the RP, even if you are a cannon character.
2) Romance is encouraged, but please take it to PM if it gets beyond PG13.
3) No auto-hitting in the IC.
4) I reserve the right to add more rules should the need arise.

Personality: She is very bubbly and happy. Lori thinks her daddy is the smartest man in the entire world. She loves people and will often talk to strangers like they were her friends, often to the detriment of her father. She loves to sing, have tea parties with her teddy bears and pick flowers for her mommy.
Appearance:
Bio: Lori is the scientist's 5 year old daughter. She doesn't understand his work, but does know that it is very important. When the outbreak happens, she is not afraid as long as her father is with her. The zombies and creatures scare her badly, but she knows that her father can make everything good again.

oh and if I don't get someone to play the scientist soon I am thinking of changing the story a bit to where my child character is the carrier of the antivirus, like Jake in RE 6, but only to this particular strain, the X virus.

Are both her parents Scientists!? I'd offer to play the scientist, but I don't play female Characters/ rarely do. Feels odd for me!

If they're both scientists though. I can play the father!!!

Perhaps he could have used the daughters blood with the virus, thus making her connected to it. That's my science-ness brain at work!!

I tried to remove all the references to 'she' as the scientist in case anyone wanted to make a male scientist so that is good. you can make her father

Personality: Simon is calm and caring usually. That's how he used to be anyway. Now he is scared. Scared for him, his wife and his young child. What has he done to the world?
Appearance:
Bio: He originally set out for the hopes to cure one of the worst diseases known to man. Cancer. having lost loved ones to this, and hearing countless stories of the affects. Simon decided enough was enough. He enlisted the help of some fairly new Scientists in the field to help him. They were braking through. He thought. Some others did too. Umbrella seemed to donate money to the cause. It didn't end at the money. Equipment. Some of their own personnel. They must have been to blame for it. Did they ruin the potential cure? Or give a man a false hope to begin with?

Now it's a struggle to right the wrongs he has done. All the while trying to keep his family from falling victim to the outbreak. It's going to be a long journey back to where he begun. Would he be allowed to practice his field in a restored world?
Equipment: A pistol he doesn't quite know how to use. He took it off an umbrella security person who tried to deal with the immediate contaminated subjects.
