The year is 2010. The United States has seen an increase in crime, and the cities of Boston, Chicago, and Los Angeles have become sites of extreme importance for various gangs all over the world. You are a gangster, the scum of the Earth according to the more legally inclined. But with most of America up for grabs, now is the chance for you and your associates to rise to power. It won't be easy, and it won't be bloodless; but as the great Al Capone once said, "You can get much farther with a kind word and a gun than you can with a kind word alone."

Welcome to American Wasteland! This is a Crime/Faction RP set in modern day United States. The RP primarily will focus on gang wars, alliances, and other dealings in the American cities of Boston, Chicago and Los Angeles (Though characters won't be restricted to visiting just those cities). This is where all Out Of Character discussion will take place, and where all Characters and Factions will be posted for review. Below is the Character Sheets for both Factions and Characters

Also note, rules may be added later. These are just the ones I could think of right now. But if it is something really particular, and you do it before I post the rule, I won't penalize you for it

No killing: By this, I mean no killing another player's main character. You can wound, within reason, but not kill. In a war, you can kill members of another player's gang, however keep in mind Rule #2, which is..
No unrealisticly overpowered characters/factions: Pretty much what I'm saying with this one is, if a character is alone against two dozen enemy gang members, they cannot just kill them all and walk away. However, in addition a faction cannot just decide to spontaneously have 100 men randomly show up and surround another character. Also, a character cannot suddenly know something in game that they wouldn't have otherwise known (like enemy intelligence just magically appearing in their head)
Casual Writing: After all, this is a casual roleplay. That means 1-2 meaningful paragraphs at a minimum, and shoot for higher. To be honest I'm looking for detail, and for purpose. No one-lined posts describing a reply to a character - longer, segmented dialogues between characters can be done in PM, and posted onto the IC as one bigger post.
All arguments will be settled by the GM: this means if two players are arguing over something that happened IC, and you guys can't settle it by yourselves, then I will. Also, what the GM (me) says goes. This'll also apply to a Co-GM, should I decide to have one.

I don't have an *actual* map, apologies, we'll have to make do with a text one.

Gang name: Éire's Champions (ECS for short)
Country of Origin: Ireland
Advantages:
Wealth - The ECS is extraordinarily wealthy, both from their legitimate corporations based in Boston, and their illegal ventures involving drug trafficking, extortion and robbery.
Connections - The ECS has deep ties to multiple governments, most notably in Ireland, Great Britain and Australia. In addition, the American Branch of the ECS can call for resources or reinforcements from the original O'Reilley Dynasty in Ireland or the McCarthy Dynasty of Australia
Disadvantages:
Age - By crime standards in the US, the American ECS is a relatively new gang. Due to this, they do not have many connections in United States politics, and have barely made their mark on California crime, instead staying largely in Boston and Chicago.
Selectivity - Due to the tradition of only promoting Irish men and women to management positions, talented criminals are often passed up for less-apt Irish criminals. This also discourages the entry into the gang for foreigners, as they know it is unlikely for them to advance far in the ranks. However, the Murray Dynasty has shown more leniency in this than the other two ECS groups, perhaps because of the diversity of the United States.
Gang History: The ECS originated as a political group fighting for the freedom of North Ireland against British occupation in 1914. However a senior member of the group, Jamie O'Reilley, began to use the influence of the ECS to extort money from both Irish and North Irish local and state governments. As O'Reilley grew more powerful in the ECS and accumulated more wealth, the other leaders of the political group began to catch on. Unfortunatly for them, it was too late - O'Reilley had the support of the majority of the ECS, and the senior members that disagreed with him were either killed or exiled.
With the ECS firmly under O'Reilley's control, he began to expand the group into a full fledged criminal syndicate. Thanks to the ECS's strong political ties, the group's illegal actions were simply overlooked in most of Ireland. The ECS not only performed common gang related jobs such as automobile theft and resale, armed robbery and the production of illegal drugs, but also bought shares of many large Irish corporations. By the 1960's Jamie O'Reilley, who could never be connected to any of the illegal actions of the ECS, became one of the richest men in Ireland, and eventually he decided to allow the sons of two of his closest allies in his struggle to take over the ECS, to start up new branches of the gang on other continents. Phillip McCarthy started the Australian branch, and Samuel Murray put the ECS in the United States. Unlike O'Reilley, Samuel had a fairly strong moral compass, and only allowed the use of torture and murder unless absolutely necessary. Still, Murray grew the Western branch of the ECS into a criminal organization to rival that of their brothers in the homeland. In 2010, at the age of 70, Samuel retired and gave the reigns to his son, Neil.
Gang Code Of Conduct:
1. Respect. The ECS, and other gangs. This is Samuel Murray's primary rule, and anyone who breaks it will be severely punished. If the rival gang is not at war with the ECS, they should be treated with the respect given to another ECS member
2. Honor. With Rule 1 in mind, if anybody slanders or discredits the good ECS name, it is the right of an ECS member to do everything in their power to make that person pay.
3. Chivalry. An ECS member should never steal from the poor, never deal to the young, and should help a person in need to enough extent that they make a difference, but not so that it puts the member in a position of weakness.
4. Policy. Everyone with devotion to Éire's Champions may join the ECS, but generally only those of Irish origin are promoted to a managment position. This rule has been bent for certain individuals.
Base of Operations Locations: The legitimate business of the American ECS branch is run from out of the P. Wentworth building in Boston, Massachusetts. The illegal actions, however, are largely based out of a huge shipping warehouse in Chicago.

Gang Name: The Horde Motorcycle Club

Country of Origin: United States

Advantages:

Numbers
The Horde has two dozen chapters in the US, each chapter with at least a dozen members. The number of men and spread out chapters mean they have plenty of men who can back them up and be used as foot soldiers.

Mobility
The motorcycles mean quick movements to and from locations and the ability to elude police capture.

Disadvantages:

Money
In terms of cash flow, the Horde can't compete with wealthier factions like the Mob or mafia.

Proclivity for violence
Horde members aren't known for their clam heads and rational behavior. They shoot first, ask questions later.

Gang History:

The Horde MC was founded in 1962 in LA by brothers Wayne and Sonny Amsel. The Horde was among the biggest outlaw biker gangs in the 1960's, being involved in some of the most nastiest and deadliest scenes of biker violence. As the sixties moved into the 70's, the Horde expanded across the US and expanded their business models from simple strongarm and thuggery, to more refined deals. They became drug mules for Miami smugglers, couriering coke all over the country in their biker saddle bags. The 80's and 90's, they got into the gun business, selling and dealing arms to street gangs and any other low-rent criminal in need for a quick weapon. The 90's also saw the Horde go into meth, with several bikers experimenting with meth cooking and distribution.

Now, the Horde maintains a steady and profitable meth business, with the occasional drug mule and arms deal to boost their income.

Gang's Code:
1. All business decisions must be approved by the Horde's voting members.
2. No murdering fellow Horde members without a chapter vote.
3. Do whatever you want, as long as it doesn't interfere with business.
4. Fuck the world and everyone else in it that ain't part of the Horde.

Base Of Operations: Chapters all over America, but the original chapter is LA.

Gang Name: Coalición Del Sur (Coalition of the South, CDS for short)

Country Of Origin: Venezuela

Advantages:

FARC Paramilitaries
With their connections to and support of various "revolutionary" groups throughout South America, CDS has access to well-equipped and trained paramilitary death squads.

Diplomats
The CDS is a coalition of various cartels, gangs, and operations, so its leadership is predisposed to forming alliances and agreements.

Disadvantages:

Long Supply lines
Though they have a foothold in LA, the bulk of CDS' operations and resources must come across many borders and over long routes, delaying deployment of some of the "big guns" of the Coaltion.

Local Bangers
The CDS' main source of manpower in LA are the various gangs it has brought under its control, meaning that it has been forced to use local street toughs, who, while loyal, are not exactly top-shelf.

Gang History:
The Coalition started in the early 1980's as an alliance between the various cartels of Columbia, and The Ramirez Crime Syndicate in Venezuela. Under the leadership of Juan "El Cid" Ramirez, the coalition grew its tendrils into various illicit activities all across South America. Taking advantage of the cocaine boom in the U.S, the CDS expanded its holdings, influence, and became opulently wealthy. After the coke bubble burst, the Coalition systematically dismantled, destroyed and absorbed any criminal elements in Central America and Mexico, becoming the largest human traffickers in Latin America. Illegal immigrants are brought in, and, in lieu of payment, put to work on one of the CDS' other main sources of income, drugs. The Coalition has marijuana grows, coca plantations, and processing plants and labs all across both continents, with nearly all labor being done by indebted immigrants. In addition, the CDS contains a paramilitary wing hosting such names as FARC, Former Contras, and African Rebels and mercenaries. Rigging elections and political manipulation are also favored pasttimes.

Gangs Code:
1. The leaders of the constituent parts of the coalition each serve in an assembly, and elect the supreme head of the CDS.
2. Membership is open to all races, genders, etc. Any position is open to anyone.
3. ALL killings are to be approved by superior officers.
4. Respect all, fear none.
5. Profits are to be shared, then distributed. Penalty for violating this rule is slow, painful death of you and your family.

Base Of Operations:
The CDS operates throughout South America, but the majority of those resources are already tied up. In the U.S, South Central Los Angeles serves as the main powerbase, with a large industrial park connected to docks serving as a sort of urban fortress, and command and control center. Here is where the elite troops are housed and maintained, where orders and products flow out, and the cash flows back. Many of the Hispanic gangs and the slums they control signed on with the CDS.

Faction: Shadow Brotherhood

Country of Origin: Russia

Advantages: Strong ties to a large mafia that has gangs all over the world. They are secure with money and work, they still tend to slip under the radar in the US when compared to the more popular street gangs slinging drugs on the corner. The Shadow Brotherhood had an excellent reputation for finding a wealth of information and carrying out security jobs and hits without notice from the law. They take pride in their work and maintain an air of superiority. They also make their money enforcing and collecting from extortion victims and robbing other local gangs.

Disadvantage: The Shadow Brotherhood was always small, their founder, Nikolai kept it that way to ensure security but in the end it did not help. They are fewer now in number since he went to prison and left his sister in charge which is a big taboo among the Russians. Other Russian mob affiliates are looking to move on their territory and they are in a constant state of turf war because of their perceived vulnerability. They do not respect them because a woman is giving orders, even if she is taking them from Nikolai while he is in prison.

Gang's Code: It is based on the legendary code of Vor v zakone (Thieves in law) but with slight changes due to their American lifestyle.

1. Not have emotions.
2. Forsake your family if you must for the Brotherhood
3. Never have a legitimate job and live off money obtained through criminal action
4. Help other thieves and make good on promises to other thieves
5. Never interfere or resist the punishment of an offending thief who is found guilty by the thieves council
6. Never inform on a fellow thief and if caught, take the blame for others actions so they may remain free
7. Never deny your Vor status

Base of Operations: Chicago, on the Northwest side in a Russian/eastern European ethnic neighborhood. The headquarters is a townhouse, quaint and unassuming.

Name: Neil Murray
Gender: Male
Age: 24
Affiliation: ECS
Apperance: Stands at 5'10", with deep brown eyes and hair to match. His hair is kept short, around an inch, for the purpose of keeping up appearances. Is lean and fairly muscular, with a deep cut in his right arm from a chop-shop accident years back. Wears a sharp black Italian suit when working honestly, and jeans and a leather jacket when out on the streets.
Personality: Professional and mature when working, but naturally charming and witty when talking, Neil generally asks questions first, then makes clear, educated decisions. He has a heart bigger than the average gangster, donating to charity and abiding by the 3rd Rule of the American ECS quite regularly. During times of war, he is ruthless and calculating, and never puts the reputation of the ECS into question.
Bio: As the son of Samuel Murray, Neil was the obvious choice to succeed him. When Samuel reached the age of 70, he retired and gave the title to Neil. Although Neil was born in Boston, he is 100% Irish, and therefore allowed to lead. As a child, Samuel was often away on business, leaving Neil alone or with a trusted 'family friend' (Generally a Senior ECS member) at the Murray Estate. Despite being gone often, Samuel made Neil one of his top priorities, and the two had a great relationship. He learned to shoot and fight at a young age, though he did not actually participate in ECS activities until he was 17, working on stolen cars at the ECS's Boston chop-shop. His father made his schooling a top priority, and at 22 years he got a Bachelors Degree from Boston University.

Name: Mike Cortez

Gender: Male
Age: 52
Affiliation: President, Horde MC LA Chapter.
Appearance: Mike is a middle aged Latino man with salt and pepper hair. He has brown eyes and a black goatee. He's 5'9 with a beer gut. Under the namepatch on his cut is "President" and a "BMF" patch sewn on the right front side of his cut.

Personality: Mike is calm and collected, preferring to talk things out when he can. With a mind to the future, he isn't above losing the battle to win the war. Despite that, he is also ruthless when he needs to be. Unlike most men in the Horde, Mike has no problem forgoing grudges in the name of business. But, as soon as that person outlives their use, Mike will not think twice about dispatching the person. Mike is a dedicated Horde member, seeing the MC members as part of his extended family.

Biography:
Mike Cortez was born and raised in East Los Angeles. He flirted with the Latino gangs there when he was a young boy, but it was the appeal of motorcycles that led him into the outlaw biker gang life. He bought his first bike when he was twenty, and shortly joined the Horde MC as a prospect. Mike worked his way into the group and began to show off his value as a level-headed guy who wasn't afraid to do the dirty work. His efficiency led to him being close friends with Horde co-founder and president, Wayne Amsel. During the 90's, Mike (then a Sgt. at Arms) was nearly killed by a six members of the Bloods. As soon as he was well, Mike proceeded to calmly hunt each man down, one by one, and murder them. The cold-blooded act marked him as a legend in the outlaw biker world. When Sonny Amsel died in 1999, Mike was elected as vice president and served under his mentor. Wayne died in 2008 and Mike was unanimously elected to take over as only the second president in the LA chapter's history. Recently, Mike's two sons were inducted into the club as fully-patched members.

Name: Joe Robinson
Gender: Male
Age 32
Affiliation: The Horde
Appearance:
Personality: Calm, collected. Willing to do what it takes for the Club. Even if that means taking a life. He will never rat out the club or a Member.
Biography: Joe was in and out of youth detention for a list of minor offences. Once he reached adult hood. His crimes became worse. He learnt to ride a Motorbike for quick get a ways. He got caught and went to prison at a young age. He met a few members of the Horde MC inside. They offered him protect in exchange for helping them smuggle drugs into the prison. Hide objects used in attacks ect. He did. The Club was impressed. At only 24. He had already helped them alot. He was then invited to prospect. After a shorter hang around period.

That first leather. Even though it only read Prospect. It made him feel worthy. Like he was invited to be their family. He loved this club from day one. 6 months later and they had given him a full patch. Once he had spilled some blood for the Club. Now, to present day. He is the Vice President of the Chicago chapter.

Anastasia "Stasia" Alexandrov

Female

Age: 28

Affiliation: Shadow Brotherhood, a small but skilled gang affiliated with the larger Russian Mafia, they are a security group, gathering intelligence and providing security, collections, and acting on orders to kill from higher ranking mafia members.

Appearance: She is tall, about 5'9", she has a slender but feminine build, high cheekbones, a full mouth and pale blue eyes that are almond shaped. Her hair is long, straight and light blonde, her bangs cut straight across in retro fashion. She typically wears black knee length boots with heels with a pencil skirt and crisp blouse for formality or she will wear jeans, boots, and an old denim jacket that belonged to her brother, with her hair in a ponytail, when doing dirty work. Stasia favors very red lipstick and dark eyeliner. She has a few tattoos, including a Madonna and child on her left shoulder, indicating her early criminal affiliation and cross on the right, on old emblem of the vor v zakone under the Soviet regime. She also has the letters "OMYT" on the back of her left hand, near her wrist and on her right in the same location is the letters "MNP". (meaning one who it is difficult to get away from and the other indicates she has murdered before)

Personality: Stasia is a mixture of volatility and cold cunning, she has a temper but is working to reign it in as her brother advises her to do. She can be very charming and witty, sometimes cutting in her remarks. She can tell a lot from someone by watching their body language and reading between the lines of what they say. She learned to do this surviving in the streets of Moscow. She is an attractive woman and has learned early on how to use it to her advantage. Her weakness is her temper and her blind loyalty to her brother. She is also vain and a chain smoker. Her strengths are her cunning, charm, and her ability to read people.

Born in Moscow, she and her older brother Nikolai were abandoned by their alcoholic mother when their father was sent away to prison. From the tender age of twelve she learned to fend for herself and she and her brother realized early on that they needed to be the toughest and the most ruthless to survive. He protected her from assault and she protected him by keeping an eye on those that would associate with him, he has a more trusting nature than she does.

She is now in power after her older brother, Nikolai, was put in federal prison on murder and extortion charges. He was betrayed by an ex member, once one of his most trusted soldiers, Sergei Petrov, in exchange for clemency from the government. He went into hiding in another city and she is currently on the hunt for him. She had long suspected him of being two-faced by her brother did not want to listen, considering Sergei Petrov like a blood brother.

Her brother chose her as his replacement on the outside because she is extremely loyal, fierce, and has deadly cunning. He was shaken by the betrayal and became paranoid, ordering anyone associated with Petrov to be killed. He still gives orders from prison but she runs the day to day show and has fought hard for respect among her crew. She had to eliminate her immediate competition, a man named Vasha who was suspiciously close with Petrov and resented her being chosen over him.

She is not viewed well by other syndicates of the Russian Mafia, for they are Bratva (brotherhood) and still follow loosely the ponyatiya "the notions" which developed back in Russia among prison gang members and many view women as objects for sex or money making, basically animals. Stasia must remain fiercely vigilant for any plot against her and has her brother's friend Ivan and a rather unbalanced fellow gang member named Vlad, known for his merciless executions, as her closest confidants.

Weapon of Choice: Knives, such as switchblades or punch blades that she can conceal and a GSh-18 semi automatic pistol loaded with 9x19 mm armor piercing rounds. To make an impression she prefers her Russian made AK-47 at full automatic.

Name: James "Jim(my)" Wu
Gender: Male
Age: 27
Affiliation: Coalición del Sur
Appearance: Jim is 5'9", light-skinned, with short, dark-brown (basically, 'black') hair, combed to the right, and brown eyes. He is 165 lbs, and slightly-muscular.
Personality: Jim is a schizophrenic. He is a puppet for his 'parents', being the middleman in their communication to the world. Submitting to their extreme emotions, he reacts as his 'parents' would (e.g. if his 'daddy' is angry, Jim reflects it with violent actions). Jim himself is very reclusive, but will be overly assertive/protective when offended.
Biography:
James Wu was born in Nevada. Due to their financial situation, his parents quickly gave him up in a closed adoption. His new family, the Grenmiths, decided to retain the name his birth parents gave him. Jim was raised in an upper middle class household, but was still subject to public education.

At 14, James was diagnosed with early onset schizophrenia. His English teacher noticed his tendency to isolate himself from the other children, and talk to himself. This was brought to the Grenmiths' attention, and they had a psychologist speak with James.

At 16, James confronted his parents about his adoption, and asked to know who his biological parents were. They hadn't the slightest clue. Their lack of what he felt was such a vital piece of information angered him greatly. James lashed out at them with a plethora of hateful, and harsh diction. Shocked by this sudden breakdown, the Grenmiths tried to restrain him. The minute Mr. Grenmith had a firm holding on his son, James stopped his thrashing. They brought him to the psychologist again to get some answers. The psychologist questioned James for hours, learning about the 'parents' in his mind. When done with the interview, the psychologist told the Grenmiths that James believed his birth parents were quelling him, telling him to find them. The Grenmiths, nervous, spoke with Jim afterwards, and told him they would help in the search.

Months later, James ran away. His 'parents' now had new motives. They didn't care about meeting their son anymore, they wanted him to succeed. By any means necessary.

The Grenmiths laid dead in their room, their throats slit and their money taken. James's 'daddy' had grabbed a hold of him, and he submitted.

By age 20, James had become a wanted man. Warrants were out for his arrest, but he skipped cities, ending up in Los Angeles, evading incarceration. He received new means for his flow cash, drugs. James smuggled drugs between the Mexican-American border for a couple years. He was recruited into CDS as a drug mule.

Name: Quinto"El Rey" Ramirez

Affiliation: CDS - Current Coalition Head

Personality:
Quinto inherited his fathers trademark management skills, and when his father was ready to give up the reins, the Coalition Assembly elected "El Rey" - The King, near unanimously. He is not above petty grudges, because even at his relatively young, he realizes that he must account for the needs of the vast criminal empire. However, Quinto is still a young man by most standards, and in transition to full-responsibilities. he flaunts the resources at his disposal, sometimes to ill-effect. However, all-in-all, he is a level-headed, if somewhat violent leader, as he is not afraid to use force, though certainly not his first option.

Character Bio:
Born during his fathers rise to power, Quinto "El Rey" Ramirez was born to a family steeped in political maneuvering and power. He grew up ina world where his father was a powerful cartel boss and all the perks that came with that. His natural intellect was nurtured and groomed by his father, who hoped to turn the family business over to him one day. Educated in the U.S and Latin America, he learned the trade of his father and excelled in "normal" schooling. This dual education prepared him to take the reins. When his father announced his intent to retire, a rare luxury most men in his position fail to reach, he immediately put his son up as a candidate to take over. Having mastered political posturing and alliances, Quinto took a vast majority of the Assembly, and was elected as Coalition Head. His first test, and one that his father would have found daunting, was to subdue the Mexican cartels. Methodically, he isolated, destroyed, and subjugated those who stood against him. Those who allied with him were shown mercy and support. This solidified his image as calm and honorable, though violent towards his enemies.

Personality: not completely incorruptible but then again no one is, a woman with a attitude to always move forward and to push to complete her assignment

Biography: Born and raised in Austin Texas, her parents were wealthy ranch owners. She went out with her dad all the time in their fields to shoot firearms becoming a fine markswoman at a young age. After graduating Hitachi the felt the need for a higher calling to help people in the world and protect the innocent. She graduated from Harvard School Of Law and graduated with Doctorate in Criminal Law, minoring in psychological profiling, criminal profiling, and studied in several foreign languages (ie Mandarin, Russian, Spanish). After college she went with a route into law enforcement becoming a Texas state trooper and being placed in gang profiling. After three and a half years she applied with the FBI. After several months she was sent to Qauntico and was trained to be a special agent where she passed as top of the class. By the age of 29 she was a federal agent. After several years of low end assignments she was finally placed where she wanted to be in the organized crime task force. Now she moves back and forth across the united states as needed.

Appearance:
Personality: A by the book man. He believes the work of the F.B.I should be good. Should help people. He tires to help as many as he can.
Biography:came from a long line of servicemen. His fathers and before that, all served in some Branch of the services of their country. James was no exception to the rule. He joined the U.S Army. After several few good year, and cases he helped to solve. James made the grade to become a detective. It wasn't enough for him. He wanted to help his whole country not just his state. After he graduated with Doctorate in criminal law & investigation. He applied to the F.B.I. He was successful, and trained at Qauntico to become a special Agent. He was second of his class, second to Allison.

The Horde has two dozen chapters in the US, each chapter with at least a dozen members. The number of men and spread out chapters mean they have plenty of men who can back them up and be used as foot soldiers.

Mobility
The motorcycles mean quick movements to and from locations and the ability to elude police capture.

Disadvantages:

Money
In terms of cash flow, the Horde can't compete with wealthier factions like the Mob or mafia.

Proclivity for violence
Horde members aren't known for their clam heads and rational behavior. They shoot first, ask questions later.

Gang History:

The Horde MC was founded in 1962 in LA by brothers Wayne and Sonny Amsel. The Horde was among the biggest outlaw biker gangs in the 1960's, being involved in some of the most nastiest and deadliest scenes of biker violence. As the sixties moved into the 70's, the Horde expanded across the US and expanded their business models from simple strongarm and thuggery, to more refined deals. They became drug mules for Miami smugglers, couriering coke all over the country in their biker saddle bags. The 80's and 90's, they got into the gun business, selling and dealing arms to street gangs and any other low-rent criminal in need for a quick weapon. The 90's also saw the Horde go into meth, with several bikers experimenting with meth cooking and distribution.

Now, the Horde maintains a steady and profitable meth business, with the occasional drug mule and arms deal to boost their income.

Gang's Code:
1. All business decisions must be approved by the Horde's voting members.
2. No murdering fellow Horde members without a chapter vote.
3. Do whatever you want, as long as it doesn't interfere with business.
4. Fuck the world and everyone else in it that ain't part of the Horde.

Name: Mike Cortez

Gender: Male
Age: 52
Affiliation: President, Horde MC LA Chapter.
Appearance: Mike is a middle aged Latino man with salt and pepper hair. He has brown eyes and a black goatee. He's 5'9 with a beer gut. Under the namepatch on his cut is "President" and a "BMF" patch sewn on the right front side of his cut.

Personality: Mike is calm and collected, preferring to talk things out when he can. With a mind to the future, he isn't above losing the battle to win the war. Despite that, he is also ruthless when he needs to be. Unlike most men in the Horde, Mike has no problem forgoing grudges in the name of business. But, as soon as that person outlives their use, Mike will not think twice about dispatching the person. Mike is a dedicated Horde member, seeing the MC members as part of his extended family.

Biography:
Mike Cortez was born and raised in East Los Angeles. He flirted with the Latino gangs there when he was a young boy, but it was the appeal of motorcycles that led him into the outlaw biker gang life. He bought his first bike when he was twenty, and shortly joined the Horde MC as a prospect. Mike worked his way into the group and began to show off his value as a level-headed guy who wasn't afraid to do the dirty work. His efficiency led to him being close friends with Horde co-founder and president, Wayne Amsel. During the 90's, Mike (then a Sgt. at Arms) was nearly killed by a six members of the Bloods. As soon as he was well, Mike proceeded to calmly hunt each man down, one by one, and murder them. The cold-blooded act marked him as a legend in the outlaw biker world. When Sonny Amsel died in 1999, Mike was elected as vice president and served under his mentor. Wayne died in 2008 and Mike was unanimously elected to take over as only the second president in the LA chapter's history. Recently, Mike's two sons were inducted into the club as fully-patched members.

I've heard of a couple others who seemed interested in running a faction, however I'm not sure if they will join (or if they do, if they will actually make a faction). Also, Jambo, have you decided whether or not you'd like to throw in a gang?

If you want, you could make a Character, and just leave the Affiliation and some of the History blank until all factions are out and you can choose
