Pirates of the Caribbean with a Modern Twist?- interest check

The pirates have never really left the Caribbean Islands. They just...evolved, as the descendants have taken over the business. The descendants use their anesctors' tactics with modern weapons and equipment. Will there be order finally in the Caribbean Seas with Will and Elizabeth Turner's descendant? Or will the craziness continue?

They'd use modern boats like yachts and weapons like semi-automatics to protect their ancestors' gold and propteries on islands. There could be possible romances or enemies made.

Cool, another question. Do we have to be descendants of characters? or could we be descendants of characters who were never in the films but knew people like Jack Sparrow?
