Travelers Trough Time - History Rewritten? OOC

This RP takes your character trough a voyage trough time.

The time device is meant to be worn as a wristband and it allows you to travel to any point and time you wish so in the past. The device can only transport one person and what clothing it has on. Also after the first use of the device will memorize the one who used it as it's owner and won't let anyone use it until the first user dies.

The device has battery for a trip into the past long up to 24 hours. After depleting the energy the device will return the user to the present and recharge at a rate of two hours in past for one hour in present, allowing a 24 hour trip each 12 hours.

The rules:

You can't kill or interact in any direct way with your past self.
You must never reveal yourself as a time traveler.
If you want you can delete all the changes you made during the travels by using the reset option on the device but this will shut it down permanently.
Never kill another time traveler in the past.

New to RPing though, so I might require some guidance every now and then.
A few questions:
Would anyone ever use the delete option if it shuts down the device? Wouldn't that pretty much be the end of your storyline? Unless you could find a new device from somewhere?
Can you go back any amount of time back in time (i.e. either 5 min ago, for to 500 BC)?
Does everyone have the same device? As in were they all produced together at some point, or are all devices unique?

To answer you questions:
1. If you use the reset option (AKA if you want to fix your own screw up) and still want to be able to travel back (AKA still RP with the character) you would just need to find another time traveler in the present and make him leave this world. After the is dead you can take his device.
2. You can go back in time up 0 am yesterday, you can't traveler not earlier that day since the device can input only years, months and days which are in the past.
3. All the devices are identical, but your character doesn't know that, actually you don't know that there are any other time travelers beside you.

Are we playing in present days or the future?
And just to confirm, my journey to the past would always start at midnight on the day I put in, and then I have a max of 24 hours, but I can go back earlier as well?
