    Unlikely situation (LostDestiny & saviorself)

Soldiers and tons of them swarmed into Dawn's home town burning every building and shooting anything that moved. They had attacked late at night and caught many by surprise. Dawn snuck threw allyways avoiding most of the screaming people and soldiers. Getting to the edge of the city she gets careless and runs into the open right infront of a group of soldiers. Panicking she ran into the surrounding willderness barefooted with only a small jacket which wouldn't be much help in the cold weather once she stopped running. She could hear the soldiers behind her shouting in some language she didn't understand. She ran faster only due to the fact that she did not have to carry anything with her. Looking back to see how close they were and how many she tripped over a small fallen tree. 'Three there are three and I am in quite a jam.' She thought as she slowly moved into the darkness.
The soldiers closed in laughing and talking amongst themselves. Dawn stared at them wide eyed and shrunk into the tree her back was pressed against. They were dragging it out and she wished they would just kill her and get it over with. One of the men fires his gun the bullet just clipping her arm. He grunted and Dawn let out a scream. The look in his face said that it wasn't suposed to clip her arm. 'Bad aim? Oh god let something anything help me right now.' She thought as she held her arm to slow the blood flow.

The night was still young as the beast emerged from his pitch-black cavern, looking to fill his bottomless stomach. Smells filled Asterion's nose as he stood... analyzing which way he would dash off in search of tonights hunt. Navy blue skies were dotted with bright stars, highlighted by a full moon that lit the valley ablaze. A slow grunt escaped his mouth as the beast noticed a stronger smell than the others... the sweet stench of blood. The hooves below sunk into the soft dirt, the dew covering his fur with each step he took. A path of uprooted trees littered Asterion's back, each grasp propelling him closer and closer towards the smell. Eventually the beast noticed flashing in the distance, it was something he had seen before... They were flashlights. Tonights feast was human flesh.

It had been far too long since Asterion had seen a human. They weren't the greatest to eat because of their size and the amount of bones he had to pick out of his teeth, but he'd take it. As Asterion got closer, he could see the silhouette of multiple humans. The stench of blood was too strong to ignore, and eventually the beast began to fiend for the taste. With a slow approach, facing the back of the humans, Asterion inched closer and closer to his kill. The plan was to crush the closest human, moving to the next, mauling him/her with his sharp claws. It was time. The beast licked his lips and got into striking position, choosing his target quickly. The intense tunnel vision served fatal for the human as Asterion lunged and swiped, taking the mans head clean off in his vicious rage. He quickly turned and grabbed the human to his left, smashing them against a tree trunk, effectively severing the spine. The final standing human turned towards Asterion and fired off a few shots that were dodged quickly by the blood-thirsty monster, and the man eventually lost the battle.

It was over. All the targets were down and the beast began to circle his kill, sniffing about at each one until he caught a whiff of the smell he remembered... The SWEET blood. It was a fragile girl, not likely to satisfy his hunger but the smell of her blood was overwhelming. Asterion trotted towards the girl slowly, inhaling deeply, savoring the smell, getting excited at the sight of her wound. She trembled under him, tightly grasping her arm in fear.

Dawn was honestly stunned she had loved the mythology behind the Minotaur but thought it was just the a myth staring at the beast infront of her she knew that a Minotaur was exactly what this thing was. She both wanted to scream and run, and stay and study the creature. She didn't have much of a choice in the matter with her back pushed so hard against the the bark was beginning the cut her skin. Unable to make a sound she sat and clutched her arm. Adenaline still pumping through he body she had yet to feel the pain from the shot. Dawn shivered both from the cold and utter fear. She had watched whä had happened. 'Really this is what you send to help me. Somethin that might eat me.' She sighed as she mentally complained to the one that aparently had mixed feelings about her.
She looked at the beast and then past him to the dead men then past them to her home she could see the light from the flames that had gotten more intense and the screams had died down. A tear ran down her face as everything that happened caught up with her. She had never been one to cry so she took a deep breath and held it to stop herself. Ontop of everything else she didn't know what the beast would do if it saw a moment of weakness from her she had to try to stay strong.

Asterion leaned in, taking in a deep whiff of the blood seeping out of the girls wound. It was taunting his nostrils, he could almost feel the warmness of the blood, only inches away from his mouth now. The beast would savor every moment of this feast, and longed to do so. Uncurling his massive blood-dripping claws, Asterion slowly wrapped his hand around the girl, and lifted her from her placement against the tree. This was the final act. The beast readied, stopping himself only to run his coarse tongue along the girls arm, finally getting the taste of blood he had smelled emerging from his cave not moments ago. Blood from the animals Asterion feasted on usually had a more intense taste, but the smell of human blood was like nothing he'd ever found before. Tightening his grip around the girl, Asterion turned towards the bodies he had wrecked seconds ago, and his eyes met a rifle. The 3rd soldier never died, but was lacking half of his leg and bleeding from what seemed like a million spots.

He let the girl go, and strafed towards the left side, dodging the bullets that were sent whizzing his way. After climbing a tree, Asterion leaped towards the soldier, landing directly on top of him. The clip was done by this time, and the man had nothing to do but cry. The beast wrapped his hand around the soldier the same way he did the girl, and bit the mans head clean off, spitting it out in disgust. And in his hunger, forgot completely about the girl, beginning to feast on the body of the soldier he had just maimed.

Doing her best not to draw attention back on her, Dawn slowly backed away. She couldn't and wouldn't go back to the town for several reasons. Reason one, the beast was faced in the direction of the town. Reason two, there still might be soldiers there. Reasons three, she had nothing to go back to. She turned and silently wondered farther into the wilderness until she could barely see. There she climbed a tree and ripped some fabric from the bottom of her pants tied it around her arm. 'What now? I can't just stay here I will freeze.' She looked down at the forest floor bellow her and listened for any sign of the Minotaur coming her way. 'It licked my arm, my bloody arm.' She looked at her left hand which was covered in her own blood. The adrenaline had worn off and her arm was beginning to hurt a lot.

The blood spurted from the wound Asterion just sunk his teeth into. Food was food and no matter how bony they were, he enjoyed every bit of them. The beast raised his head in satisfaction and let out a screeching howl that pierced the silence of the forest. This was his way of alerting any animals in the area that this was his bounty. He would never return home with his kill, it attracted packs of mountain lions, lured in by the intense smell. Asterion planned to return for seconds tomorrow and was content with how much he ate, maybe overdoing it a bit. His aggressiveness almost always led him to overeat and make too much noise, getting lost in the moment of the feast. Asterion rose to his feet and swung around quickly as he remembered the girl he dropped. It seemed like seconds ago that she was here, but he couldn't be too sure how long his stomach took to fill. He sniffed around carefully, and as soon as the familiar smell was back into his nostrils, the beast sunk his hooves into the dirt and began to chase his target, letting out another howl to intimidate his prey.

'Oh god I am so screwed with that thing's sense of smell and my bloody arm I stand no chance.' She climbed higher wincing at the pain as she pulls herself up. 'This is not good not good at all. If I can get up to the smaller branches it won't be able to get me hopefully.' She was still inching her way up the try by the time she could make out the beast in the darkness bellow. Dawn stopped climbing and and sat on a branch holding her arm again. 'I swear it is bleeding more now.' Her heart pounded against her chest from both fear and exhaustion. 'Please don't notice me, please, please, please.' She thought clinging to the tree.

The smell was too strong not to find her, so he crept up carefully, Letting the silence and uncertainty build her fear slowly. He loved this... Lived for this. Hunting was something he did everyday. Asterion craved the chase, the moment when he caught his prey and looked into their faces with his bright red eyes was exciting to him. Circling the tree slow, he worked his way into the girls line of vision and stared her down. She had nowhere to go. If she ran, he would easily catch her and kill her instantly. A little part of Asterion wished the girl would turn around and bolt the other way. Inching towards her with eyes fixated on her wound, he uncurled both fists, revealing claws the size of the girls forearms. The beasts hunger was satisfied, but the smell of blood was too strong to leave her behind. He needed this one for himself, and no other animal or human could have her. Picking up the girl from the tree, Asterion went against one rule that had kept his cave safe from other animals for so long... He was bringing his prey home.

Showing her usual resistance she refused to show any emotion. Even as a child she had done the opposite that most people would do and it came with her to adulthood. Hoping it would get bored with her lack of fight. Her heart was still pounding from fear but she did her best not to show it. Wincing in pain again from her arm she let out a small squeal, wishing the pain would stop. 'Ha wow Dawn your being taken to who knows where by a Minotaur and your worried about your arm way to prioritize.' She mentally beat herself up.

Eventually everything caught up with her and she screamed in frustration and punched the beast trying to release some of the rage that had built up through the night. When her fist connected with the beast her hand instantly hurt. 'Well that was stupid.' Dawn let out another frustrated scream. 'God do you hate me? Why me why anybody?' She squirmed uselessly then gave up. It was no use their was nothing she could do.

Moving as fast as he could, Asterion barged through the forest and back towards his warm cavern. The girl in his arm began to thrash about, but calmed after realizing her efforts were useless. A sense of pride fell over the beast that he had a meal for tomorrow, without ever having to leave his home. Eventually the cavern entrance came upon them and Asterion entered, laying the girl in the corner and went back to the entrance to wait. It had been a few years since he's brought prey home, and more then likely the uneducated animals in his area would come looking for what they smell. No animals have ever attacked his territory that he couldn't deal with. Packs of mountain lions were the worst, but would usually retreat after seeing how their brothers and sisters on the front line were handled.

The beast growled at the girl as to warn trying to leave would be the last decision she would ever make. His hunt was quick, and fairly easy tonight. Humans were a lot slower than the prey he hunted, and the reward was usually greater in terms of mass. Asterion slowly made his way over to the girl, still smelling the overwhelming sweetness of her blood. He never got to have a proper taste of her meat, and that moment couldn't come any slower. Realizing eating her now would be useless as he has a belly full of 3 soldiers, Asterion used his huge fist to grab the girls arm, savoring the taste of her blood once more as she trembled and struggled to pull her arm away. Once the beast had satisfied himself with the taste, he returned to the other side of the cavern, near the entrance, and laid down to rest.
