Dawn jump when the beast roared and gawked at it, her heart now racing. 'What does it want?' She gave it a confused look and stood up again met by the intense head rush that had caused the to fell back to the ground the first time. This time however she leaned on the cave wall and squeezed her eyes shut until her head stopped spinning. When she opened her eyes the beast had moved closer to her, she now realized the size difference between her and the beast. It was talked than even a tall human and she had been at the below average height for a female her age standing at a whopping five feet flat. The difference in body width was huge as well. The beast was muscled to an extreme while she was mostly skin and bone and unable to gain any weight with her fast metabolism. 'Goodness there in no way any human stands a chance against this thing.' Dawn thought as she continued to lean against the wall to stop herself from falling back over. She looked back at her wound which was now throbbing and looked at he peice of fabric still in her hand. She wet it again and went to trying to scrub the dried blood off of her arm. She managed to get enough if it cleaned that she could see where the bullet and traveled across her skin she now realized that it did more than clip her arm though because she could still she she silver if the bullet in her arm. She couldn't leave that their no matter what happened to her. If the thing decided to save her for a rainy day and not eat her today she wanted the bullet out of her arm. Dawn stated at her wound intently not wantin to reopen it but knew she had to. Taking the cloth she had used to clean her arm Dawn rubbed her wound hard with the rough fabric causing it to bleed once more to the point where the dried blood could be pushed out of the way. She reached into the bloody mess with her index finger and thumb wincing at the pain, she grabbed ahold of the bullet tulhat wasn't to far from the surface and pulled it out causing her arm to bleed even more. She dropped the bullet which clattered to the cave floor with lite metallic tinks and tied the fabric she had used around her arm. She relied eve more on the cave wall to hold her up as what she had just done sank in. She took a deep breath to stop herself from throwing up and leaned entirely on the cave wall, breathing heavily.

The beast studied the girl carefully as she dug her fingers deep into the wound, retrieving the slug that caused him to first find her. The same smell of blood Asterion caught the night before returned, stinging his nostrils to the point of annoyance. She stood there, panting... staring at the same rough floor she had slept only hours ago. The bit of blood that did come out of the girls hand had made its way down her arm, hitting the chipped rock floor after flowing off her fingers. Asterion gazed at the growing spot with concentration only matched when the beast was executing a hunt. The sun shining in from the entrance made it glisten beyond the point of recognizing, Almost blending into the dark grey rock underfoot. The beast looked up from the blood spot, and his eyes met the suns bright rays again, causing him to squint and move closer to a nearby stalagmite for cover.

Asterion looked towards the girl, holding herself up weakly, still panting from the intense pain. The bullet slug below her caught the sunlight, still covered in blood, misshapen and small. The beast had never seen a gun, let alone a bullet, in his just under two hundred years of life. Still parched, and growing more impatient by the second, the beast trotted towards the girl with contempt. Uncurling the fingers in his dense fist, the beast wrapped them around the still shaken up girl, and threw her over his shoulder. A quick trip to the river shouldn't pose too many problems. The beast couldn't leave the girl behind in fear that she could be eaten by another animal before he returned. If she ever decided to run, Asterion promised to himself to show no mercy and consume her on the spot, full belly or empty. The beast sort of hoped she did. Human meat and a nice drink at the river? Asterion could think of worse things he had done with his time. With haste, the beast rushed out of the cavern entrance, with the girl over his shoulder, and started his trip towards the river.

Dawn let out a huff when the beast picked her up. The speed he had picked her up with sent her head whirling. If it had put her down she would have fallen on her butt. Not even bothering to put up a fight after it swung her over its shoulder. 'At least I don't have to attempt to walk.' She thought as she pictured herself stumbling. Dawn let out a deep sigh trying to figure out what exactly the beast was going to do with her. She could think of only one reason the beast would keep her alive for so long, it was saving her either till later tonight or a rainy day. Judging by the way it kept looking at her it was more likly the first. 'Why am I still putting up such a fight to live? Most people would have been dead long ago in this situation. It doesn't help that I am extremely heathy. Am I stupid or something? I swear I have to be insane to not be scared out of my wits knowing whatbis going to happen to me. A normal person would have tried to bolt by now. Then again I am not normal I have always managed to keep a cool head every when everyone else was positively loony. Something has to be wrong with my head.' She battled herself mentally for quite some time before the beast put her down by the bank of a river. 'This seems familiar. I know why this is the same river that runs through my town.' She snapped as she remembered. 'If I were to follow this I would be able to find m way back.' She thought her spirits raising only to drop once again. 'But if I were to run, one I wouldn't be able to, not with the amount of blood loss, two, the beast would catch me and that would surly be the end of Dawn.' She huffed and remained where she was placed watching the water run by.

The trip to the river was soothing in a way. Asterion had seen this forest many times before, with its dead wood trees and loads of debris laying around. This was his territory, and the beast loved every inch of it. Lowering his head into the river, Asterion drank the water, letting out a few grunts in between gulps. The surrounding area was quiet. He could even hear the girl behind him, breathing slowly. The leaves crunched underfoot as the beast rose from his drinking spot, looking behind him at the girl who was relaxing on a stump. It seemed like a good idea, so the beast trotted over to her position and took a seat along side the girl. The sun was up now, casting a glare through the countless trees causing the beast to squint and lay back.

Snapping him out of his day-dream, the beast spun around at the sound of leaves crunching, and came face to face with a family of bears. Had it been the same one he attacked last night? All bears fur were the same color in this forest, so it was hard to tell. The gigantic trio aggressively growled at Asterion, taking notice of the food beside him. The girl was becoming annoying now. Usually animals would turn the other way at the sight of the beast, but the girl, still sporting her wound, was attracting them. Asterion stood and grunted at the pack of bears, showing his razor-sharp teeth and claws in the process. The resilient animals didn't back down however, and after a few seconds of circling Asterion and the girl, they charged.

Dawn payed little attention to the beast as it came and sat next to her however the bears where harder to ignore. 'God damn it I know I shouldn't have opened the stupid wound again!' She yelled at herself in her head. Dawn knew the more trouble she caused, the more likely it was that the beast would kill her off then and there. Dawn didn't exactly like that idea but at the same time didn't mind it, if she wasn't still fighting nature and the lack if blood for dear life still...well she wasn't the one fighting off nature, the beast was. She watched the bears as they charged and the beast as it fended them off. Dawn felt usless and she hated that feeling it made her sick, or was that the ounces of blood she had lost so far. She couldn't tell but either way she didn't like it. After a short period of time the bears either lay on the ground dead or limped away. Dawn looked at the ground before the beast turned around to see her staring at it again. As much as Dawn wanted to be afraid of this beast she couldn't do it, for some reason her head would not allow her to fear the Minotaur that stood before her. 'I am going crazy, I'm a crazy person.' She thought as she stared at the ground. She felt as if she was having way to many staring matches with inanimate objects.
