Darkness is Immortal
The void of space was cold and silent. Here particularly, in the stars above Felucia, the silence was heavy, almost thick. That was because it wasn’t meant to be this way.
Lambda Station, once a hub for experimental research, biological developments, and ingenious invention, was now as silent as the black space around it. It hung over Felucia like some sort of ominous omen, a beacon of darkness. ExoTech, the company that owned the station, had officially abandoned it after nearly a month of answer-searching. Recently, ExoTech had been the center of the galaxy’s attention, for exactly the reason they sought: new, valuable technology. Now, their reputation lies in doubt. The families of thousands of workers cried out in anguish over the unknown fate of their loved ones, the men and women of hundreds of species, who had worked on Lambda Station. So too cried out those who knew the hundreds more who disappeared inside, trying to determine what had transpired.
Now fully neutral ground, Lambda Station receives visitors once more. The Republic has sent a small team to the station, with the task of determining what transpired there, recovering any survivors, and reporting the status of ExoTech’s technology. If it is dangerous, it must not fall into Sith hands.
The Sith have sent their own as well. A small group of individuals sent to acquire the ExoTech research, in whatever form it may take. All other objectives are secondary. There is an opportunity here for the Empire, and they do not intend to pass it up.
In addition, some brave individuals arrive upon Lambda Station, each for their own reasons, each with their own goals.
All of them know this: many have come before them. None have returned.
From the outside, Lambda Station is a foreboding sight. A tall, spire-like station, but not without significant width, Lambda Station appears to be in a state of disrepair. Lights are completely shut off in some sections. A hull rupture appears here and there, but these appear to have been caused from the inside. There are no scorch or blast marks upon the surface of the hull.
The hangar bay doors are wide open, and power is clearly still functioning inside. Lights are still on. There are small ships everywhere inside, of every make. Vessels used by the mercenaries who came before, no doubt. Most are in perfect condition. Their pilots are nowhere to be seen…
Welcome, everyone, to my second attempt at this RP. If you’re still reading, then obviously you have at least some level of interest in this. Darkness is Immortal, which takes place in the 'Old Republic Era', will be a High Casual RP. This thread will be used as an interest gatherer and recruitment center for potential participants. Assuming it is successful, it will be linked to the OOC once things move forward. In regards to what I will be looking for:
At least FOUR characters to be a part of the Republic Investigation Team.
At least FOUR characters to be a part of the Sith Recovery Team.
With Up to FOUR wildcards slots available for characters who have come to Lambda Station for their own motives.
I’m mainly looking for experienced and/or capable role-players/writers here. Doubly so because I would like to have a good group of people around me who are capable of bringing both skill and personality to the mix.
With that, I say Grazie, thank you, and look for your interest.
