700 years after the creation of the Universe, the Fallen have decided to have a little... fun. Bringing an alternate Earth to the same dimension as our own, they placed the inhabitable vessel less than 1,000 miles from our own. This inconsistent flaw caused a ripple to tear through space, bringing about a wormhole right in the center of the doppleganger planet. The portal sucked in the second Earth and transported it to a galaxy on the far side of the Universe. The wormhole then closed up.

The second Earth, uninhabitable due to a lack of sufficient gaseous elements, split into four pieces, each named according to their cardinal position on a map: North Urth, South Urth, East Urth, and West Urth. The core, where the wormhole had started, stayed in the center of the galaxy as the others moved out, and this caused it to eventually grow and become a sun. This increase in gravity and heat, due to the pieces being closer to a star, caused clumps of elements to form and this new atmosphere created plants, allowing life to eventually be able to inhabit the planets.

400 years later, in 2900 BC, a wormhole was discovered by a group of elementalists. They entered and found this new place. They inhabited the planet and declared themselves kings. Gradually, some of the others who were with them brought people, and 400 years later, the galaxy became bustling with people and planets, as asteroids had entered the gravitational field and grew, making new celestial bodies. As the population grew, so did technology and knowledge. People gained inate abilities, but this was not to last.

People began relying on technology more and more, eventually, in the year 1950 AD, causing there to be less than 5% of the over 500,000,000,000,000,000,000 population over the galaxy to be able to tap into these powers, or even know they have them. Only certain rulers and planetary populations knew about powers.

Some of these powers were based on elements, such as Light and Dark. These caused rivalries between the Light and Dark Planets, and war began breaking loose.

Now, in 2012, war is about to break loose between the planets once again. The other 498 Planets ignore it, but little do they know that this will not be a small rivalry.

This is a true War of the Worlds.

I highly suggest you read the backstory, if you have skipped straight here. It will be imperitive you know the history as a focal point.

Name: Flare John Firepower (I made him up when I was 5. Shut up.)
Age: 16, though he DID stop aging 3045 years ago.

Flare, partially because of his family, partially because of his race, is SUPER hot-headed. He respects those who pay threats first and questions later, but he can be nice to those who respect him and who he thinks deserves respect. He tends to hate those who are dishonorable or plain idiotic. He loves to use sarcasm when something is not serious and hates those who joke when it is.

Flare grew up in a relatively normal Royal Fire Family. He was born to King Icamus and Queen Azure, who ended up betraying him when he was 16. It was at that point he met the Defenders (Rocky, Dr. Defender, and Laser Blade), and he slew his own family. He died that same day, but was revived by Dr. Defender's healing abilities. That was how he came to stop aging. He has now rules the Fire Planet and has been for over 3000 years, and all his people speak well of him, for he rules his people justly and fairly, letting them all help him make decisions when he is not there (which is 90% of the time). He is now living a very dangerous life, missing the days when he traveled with the now-deceased Rocky, and the still-living Dr. Defender and Laser Blade.

Name: Franklin Rotts
Age: 33

Franklin is the kind of guy you want on your side. Ex-Marine, he was sent into Arkaden under false accusations and was launched into the planet by his cell-mates. (You will see the history of Arkaden in a different RP. I will eventually link it here once it is posted. Ar1on, I want you to help me set it up, since it was originally your idea.) He is undyingly loyal to those he deems worthy of that loyalty, and will use his newfound abilities for the good of his people.

He was a U S Marine in our Galaxy, when he one day got caught up in the events predicted by the book, Hero Series Book 1: Flare. Thrust into a world where magic existed through technological findings, he was caught right in the center of where a demon was planning to bomb a major tower. He survived the fall miraculously as the tower literally collapsed under his feet, and was arrested. He was put in the largest and most disastrous facility known to mankind: Arkaden. Once in, he was sucked into a wormhole through a basement door while exploring the self-run facility. He was then thrust into the Alternate Galaxy, causing him to develop powers of his own. He is now sitting in the superprison.

Liam is a mysterious person, only opening up to those he can trust. He speaks royally, but trusts almost none.

Liam grew up as the best friend to Alexander the Great, eventually becoming the young King's personal assassin. The day before Alex's Great Conquest started, Liam was drawn to the Alternate Galaxy by Gabriel the Angel to fight demons. He has now lived here for quite a while and has earned himself the name The Great Assassin amongst the nobles and The Death Ghost amongst the more common people.

Age: 25

Tech is a fairly open guy, his true name being one of his only secrets. You can get almost anything out of him, as he likes to make friends, but you will never hear a secret from him. He, like all Technology Benders (or Technogeeks as Flare likes to call them) cannot see what he is doing by himself, so he relies on the special glasses he wears to let him see just that.

TECH grew up in a wealthy family, suffering only from the common cold. He learned of his abilities at a very young age and has developed them so far, he can even break down a weapon with the flick of his wrist. He is highly intelligent, averaging a 360 on an IQ test, depending on which you judge from. He now is bored after making the glasses to help him see, and so he does what he feels like doing.

Name: Sylvineye Viniores
Age: 302 (In common elven years, he is only 23)

Sylvineye is a common elf, loving animals and nature, but having to relinquish that love when he hunts so he can eat. But there is one more thing about Sylvineye; he is a scavenger. He will loot any body he thinks is truly dead and pick up anything off the ground he thinks will be useful. This trait commonly earns him the title of "Thief" or "Scavenging little @$$-turd." He is only misunderstood, and will gladly return any items he has found once you can prove that it truly belongs to you.

Sylvineye grew up on Taleth-Kunn, a continent on Kal'Urth, or Elf-Urth in English. He was a simple member of his tribe with his mother, Desparsho, and father, Zanqu'un, and sister, Sylvine. He grew up learning from his father how to scavenge from anything you find so as to not have to buy as many things. From his mother, he learned to hunt and sing plants from the ground, so as to not have to buy food. After his mother and father died in a war between another tribe, he and his sister went their separate ways, his sister becoming a pascifist and he becoming sort of a mercenary. He may be a merc, but he is an honorable one, not giving in to another buyer after he has already been bought off by one. This lets him retain jobs for long periods and hold multiple jobs, so long as the contracts do not interferre with each other.

Name: Logan Parker

Age: 32

Appearance: Most of the time Logan is seen wearing quite a bit of fighting equipment to show off his merchandise. This generally includes a set of full plate mail (or functional equivalent) and a two handed claymore. When he's not showing off his merch though, he simply wears a nice crimson colored shirt, some brown pants, some gloves, and white shoes.

Personality: Logan is somewhat unusual for a dwarf in that he has a bit of a silver tongue due to his profession. However, he is quite the boisterous type and doesn't tend to take things too seriously. He also rambles on quite a lot, usually about weird things that have happened during his travels.

History: Growing up in the slums of the Dwarven home planet, Logan didn't have a whole lot of wealth to well...do much of anything with. When the family's source of income got cut off when his father got fired, his father tried to find a new job, and Logan tried to also find a job. After some attempts at different jobs, Logan started adventuring, then selling whatever oddities he could find. Eventually, his father got a new job and Logan had managed to get enough money to start up a mercantile business. However, he always had a sense of wanderlust, and as soon as he was able, Logan gathered a traveling caravan and set off to places unknown to him, while making a profit along the way.

History: Growing up Dane was discouraged from his dream of being an adventurer. Class mates made fun of him, teachers ridiculed him, and his parents just laughed. He started off working in the coal mines to get a living. He quickly got bored of this, also annoyed at having to come home everyday covered in that godawful soot. So he set off, unsure of what he would find. He met a mage by the name of Elrook in the forests. Dane expressed interest in the art of magic, so Elrook introduced him to the Dark Creed, a cult of deadly dark mages. He trained there, and learned a dark skill of magic, unbeknownst to the world(s).

Personality: Let's just say he can be a real asshead sometimes. He's always stubborn and wants to get his way. If he sets his mind on something, he puts it before everything else. This can lead to the distraction of the task at hand. He's not a crowd pleaser either. If he likes someone he is awkward around them (due to his time with the cult).

Why where you at the bar: Came back to town to see how his so called 'hometown' was doing. Decided to drop by the pub to unwind after talking to a couple dickheads who don't know how to abide to the laws.

Name: Alina Scharf

Age: 24

Personality: She is very serious about almost anything. Not the kind of person who jokes around. Typically cold and distant to anyone she doesn't know. Tends to always be skeptical about people, even her friends. I'll let the rest develop with time.

History: Alina's family was a militaristic family that has had years of service to there homeworld. Because of this, Alina was expected to follow in her family's footsteps. She was raised from birth as if she was in the military and by the time she was eighteen she joined the planets defense force as an officer and under went the optional augmentations. Due to how industrious the planet is, most of the air is toxic outside, so soldiers who join are given two options. One is to always where protective gear while deployed, and two is to go through a augmentation process that allows you to breath and operate in toxic environments with ease, as well as the performance of the soldier is heightened. However, the side effects of the augmentation cause the soldier's skin to pale, eyes to turn red, and hair color to change to white. In addition to these appearance changes, the soldiers also can not reproduce anymore, nor can they age as quickly as normal humans. After going through the painful augmentation process, Alina joined the infamous Sturm55 Special Tactics Assault Group. This group was entirely made up of people who had gone through the augmentation process. They were created so that the planet had a strong elite fighter group that could be deployed easily and effectively. Sadly though this group did not last... During a raid by a faction of outlaws, the Sturm55 was deployed to protect a vital chemical factory, but what was thought to be a small attack by a band of outlaws turned into a full blown raider invasion. The Sturm55 fought fiercely, but were horrible outnumbered, and all Alina could do is fire back as her fellow comrades were cut down around her. Out of the 55 Sturm55 Soldiers deployed at the factory, only three escape the eventual massacre, including Alina. She soon left the Sturm55, but was allowed to keep her equipment because of her "Heroic Service" in the battle. She didn't think that what she saw or what she did was heroic at all. She could think only of the sight of her men and women being cut down, blown to bits, and vaporized by the raiders. Soon she left the planet, unable to face her family about leaving. Now she just travels from place to place, aimlessly wandering.
