Zenkai: A Dragon Ball RP [OOC]

Disclaimer: The following is a remake of a roleplay originally done by KingAsura. I however, i'm attempting to reboot it, as he has gone awol and the thread died some time ago due to inactivity.

The plot.

Dragonball Z. We all know the plot. An alien from a warrior race lands on earth, loses his memory, grows up and ends up becoming the planet's savior. But what if this alien didn't lose his memory? What if Goku didn't become a loveable idiot with a thirst for challenging combat? Further more, what if his race was never wiped out? What if Frieza decided to leave the Saiyans along for a little more time, and Bardock was able to warn his people of their impending doom successfully. What would happen if the Saiyans were able to purge Frieza's influence from their home planet and were able to kill the tyrant himself? This is where our plot will take. In a universe vastly different from the one found in the anime. An alternate reality.

In this reality, Goku never smashed his head on a rock. He never lost his memory, or his instincts. Grandpa Gohan never spotted the ship, and never came to rescue the young Saiyan. As such, he never adopted his earthling name. Kakarot instead spent his early childhood surviving in Earth's brutal wilderness, using his usually high powerlevel to kill any beasts brave enough to attack him. Living in the wilderness toughened him up quite a bit, taking the place of the training he would have had with Gohan. His brutal Saiyan mentality also did wonders for him, making him stronger than the original Goku could have ever been. His lust for power led him to training whenever he could, the lust for power that could bring Earth to its knees. With time, Kakarot eventually met Gohan. Despite how civil the old man was with him, he was only met with violence. The two ended up doing battle, with Gohan taking the upper hand against the inexperienced Kakarot. Only the appearance of the full moon helped turn the tides. In his Oozaru form, Kakarot easily killed Gohan and continued on a rampage that leveled a good portion of the battlefield.

Aside from this incident, Kakarot kept away from the human population. His battle with Gohan made him wary of the strength of native species of Earth. He continued to train in the mountains for most of his young life, into his teenaged years. The events of Dragonball still take place for the most part. Bulma still searches for the dragonballs, although she ultimately fails without Goku's help. Yamcha never meets up with the duo and spends his days still in the desert as a bandit. Krillin arrives at Master Roshi's island just fine, and becomes his one and only student. Demon King Piccolo is released by Pilaf still, and does conquer Earth after renewing his youth with the dragonballs. In his quest to kill those who could dare seal him again, he comes upon Kakarot. Intrigued by this being and glad to have a challenge, Kakarot and the Demon King do battle. In the end, due to his superior power, Kakarot is able to defeat Piccolo and his sons and slaughters them mercilessly. Seeing as Piccolo was able to conquer the world, and he was able to kill Piccolo, Kakarot takes this opportunity to strike and seize the planet in his grips. He is met with resistance by a few of Earth's fighters, but is able to wipe them out for the most part. With no one left to stop him, the Saiyan warrior ravages Earth. He is able to bring the planet to its knees. Instead of destroying the human race as a whole, he decided to enslave them and keep them around as toys. As a teenager, Kakarot reigns as a tyrant over Earth.

Not much happens for many years on end. Earth remains under constant fear. The few strong humans left who could challenge Kakarot stay hidden (Krillin being the closest to matching Kakarot in power) and train to overthrow the alien. Back on his home planet of Vegeta, the Saiyan race thrives. Many years before, Bardock was able to warn his people of Frieza's intent to destroy them. Showing surprising strength, the King of the planet is able to combat Frieza one on one. He is able to mortally wound Frieza, and the Changeling is finished off by Bardock himself before he has a chance to change to his second form and defeat the King. Zarbon and Dodoria are also killed in the attack. They are able to force Frieza's men off of their planet, keeping around only a handful of scientists so that they could continue to make gear for the Saiyans. Without Frieza to stop them, the Saiyans spread across the galaxy with King Vegeta standing in place of Frieza. The warrior race wipes out many other species, and claims many other planets for their own. They begin to overtake the universe, causing problems for the Kaio who rule the realms. Saiyans had reached as far as Namek before something is able to bring about an end to King Vegeta's rule. King Kold finally appears years after his son's death, and is able to kill King Vegeta and his closest followers. Without a leader, the Saiyan empire begins to fall apart. They scatter all over the galaxy. Many are killed by King Kold and his forces when they attempt to resist, others enslaved and thrown into his armies, or put to work gathering resources for his empire. King Kold takes the chaos created by the lose of a central power in the galaxy, and begins to pick off weakened planets for his own while the Saiyan defenders flee for their lives, or are crushed under his boot.

Back on Earth, Kakarot decided to have a grand tournament in his honor. To find a challenger worthy of fighting him. This is when the fighters of earth decide to strike. Having prepared to free their homes from the grip of a single dictator, they enter the tournament in the hopes of fighting and killing Kakarot himself. This is where we begin.

The evil Saiyan Kakarot has held earth in his clutches for many years now after defeating Demon King Piccolo. He has reigned as a tyrant over the human race, killing off entire cities as he pleases and generally enslaving the population of the planet. He's holding a tournament to find a good challenge on Earth. Now is the time for the Earthlings to defeat him and retake their planet. It will be a hard battle, and many may die, but it is necessary to ensure the human race continues on, free as they should be.

Personality: Silver is mostly quiet and serious. This typically makes him seem cold to those around him, but in truth he is actually quite a courteous man. No, his cold and ruthless mannerisms are reserved only for his enemies. He was once much more assertive and aggressive, but a fateful encounter humbled him into the man he is today.

Background: Silver was born in the suburban village of Ginger Town. The son of a professional boxer, Silver learned the sport early on and showed great talent in the ring, winning a junior title belt as early as age 15. But it was when a particular military force began an occupation of Ginger Town that the young Silver's life was changed forever. The force, calling itself the Red Ribbon Army, forced any and all talented young fighters into their ranks, including Silver. It didn't take long for Silver to reach the rank of Colonel and even build up a sizable reputation among his men as the supposedly best fighter in the RRA (though many others would eagerly and even violently disagree with such a claim). The Red Ribbon Army had a simple goal, gather seven objects called Dragon Balls and wish for world domination. This would have been a simple enough mission, had it not been for the interference of a particular kid named Krillin. As Krillin managed to fight off the army at every turn, Colonel Silver was eager to take a shot at the kid himself. When they did fight, Silver was handily defeated, and at the hands of someone nearly half his age at that! It was humiliating, but ultimately became a very humbling experience as well.

Silver's defeat utterly destroyed the reputation he had built up in the Red Ribbon Army, and he was disgraced, thrown out by Commander Red even. Without a job and, by now, a home, Silver wandered from town to town, looking for any work he could find to get by on. In that time, Silver heard more and more rumors of the Army's defeat at the hands of Krillin and, while part of him did want another chance to fight him, was for his part glad that his ungrateful former employers were finally getting what was coming to them. His defeat taught him one vital lesson, that no matter how tough Silver believed himself to be, there would always be someone stronger. To remedy that, Silver continued his training to levels he otherwise would have never attempted, all with the goal of one day taking another shot at Krillin on his mind. All the while, Silver continued hearing stories about the Demon King and the Saiyan Kakarot, but did not involve himself on the grounds that it would basically be suicide to fight either one of those monsters. In time, Silver eventually believed himself ready to challenge Krillin again, and the upcoming tournament would be the ideal place to prove it.

Power Level: 1,680

Techniques: None. Even though Silver trained his body and can raise his power level, he has no knowledge of how to manifest any of that power in the form of energy or the like.

Other: Starting out, Silver will be a strictly melee attacker but will steadily learn and master actual energy attacks as the RP goes on.

Personality: Much like Piccolo from the original Dragonball series, Piccolo Jr. Currently believes himself to be the strongest there is. He is almost villainous in a way, but he has some form of morality, and a bit of good in his heart. He is honorable in battle and out, and is a critical thinker. But to start, he is sadistic and evil all in all.

Background: When King Piccolo was killed by Kakarot, he spit out one last egg- Piccolo Jr.'s egg, and tossed it as far as he could. Hidden in the woods, Piccolo Jr. Hatched, and was raised in the wilderness, quickly gaining his fathers powers as a wild fighter. He developed some sense of ki, and a harsh want to destroy Kakarot for what he did to his father, a chance of retribution. However, he knew for a fact that he was too weak to take him on alone, so he teamed up with Krillin and the others, as a form of a temporary alliance to beat a common enemy.

Techniques:

Explosive Demon Wave- A very powerful blast shot from one hand.

Antenna Beam – A blast of electricity shot from Piccolo's antennae.

Special Beam Cannon – One of Piccolo's most powerful, but time-consuming, attacks, which drills through nearly everything and every being.

To be honest they won't have much effect in this RP, so although i'd prefer you did put one, It'll be the quality of your in combat posts that determine whether or not your character gets stronger and the end of each arc.

Personality: Witty and sarcastic, but has a soft spot for kids. Doesn't always smoke, but does smoke from time to time. Loves power, doesn't like cats because cats don't like her.

Background: An orphan at a young age, Rya never knew her birth parents. She was raised by Master Roshi, and quickly showed talent in martial arts. She hopes one day to meet her parents and find out why they left her.

Name: Hyuude Uzaki

Personality:

Hyuude's personality, at its surface, seems rather one-sided and shallow. An aggressive, arrogant, rather jerkish fellow most of the time, Hyuude has little patience for weakness from anyone, let alone himself. His overall demeanor is one of supreme self-confidence and abrasive cockiness that irritates most other people. Most people are met with a disdainful look if they aren't challenging him to a fight, or in the middle of a fight with him. Few things snap Hyuude out of his usual state, such as combat. While in combat, Hyuude grins the entire time in an almost feral manner, and shows off excessively in the middle of the fight, yelling out attack names and boasting of his abilities throughout the course of the fight, no matter how pointless or over the top it may seem. Sometimes, this strategy works wonders at confusing the opponent, however, it also makes him painfully easy to predict, something which he thankfully has yet to suffer the consequences of.

Dig deeper beneath the outer veneer of brash arrogance, however, and you will find a different story indeed. Hyuude's arrogance, his abrasiveness, and his aggression is less of who he is, and more of a front to protect himself. Driven mostly by an inferiority complex, Hyuude continually strives, over and over and over, to overcome any goal or any obstacle presented in front of himself, heedless of risk and caution. He desperately fears being mocked by other people, and usually attempts to brush them off or push them away with his seeming personality in order to prevent them from knowing exactly how powerless he really is. Hyuude's mindset is always of one that is never good enough, never accomplished enough, and always weaker than something else. It is almost a bit of a credit to him that he strives so hard to overcome that self-doubt, and that is what powers him day to day.

Background:

"A thousand sorrows for one grand triumph."

A thousand sorrows must be visited upon a man before he may know the fruit of his labors, or the rightness of his path. Few have known sorrows as Hyuude Uzaki, nor have they been visited upon him as much as others. Born within the slums of West City, Hyuude was almost destined to have a hard life from the get go. His father worked almost all day in the factories, working as hard as he could to try and give his family a good life, but in the end, spending it all on drink. His mother, in an attempt to provide for her family, did whatever she could to support the household, including prostitution. Both of them, frustrated with their lives, frustrated with their fate, and frustrated with the young, curious boy, abused and beat him heavily as a child, teaching him early on that the only thing in his life that he could trust was himself. With each punch, each smack, and each kick, this lesson was drilled even more into his mind. The only escape from the torment at home was to go outside, to the streets, where men were dangerous, unpredictable, and immoral, and children his own age even more so. He was quickly singled out by many of the other children his age for his quietness, picked upon. Many a time, they played a game where they threw stones at him until he cried out in pain. One day, however, everything changed.

One day, something inside of the young Hyuude merely snapped. During a beating that a larger kid was bestowing upon him, Hyuude suddenly slammed his fist upwards, straight into the kid's chin, and knocking him back, the jawbone cracking on the boy with a loud popping noise. The jeering and the taunting stopped for a moment as the kid flew backwards, and began to cry. No more would Hyuude ever suffer things in silence. No more would Hyuude be simply stoic. It became clear to him that the only path forwards was force, and the only way to escape from his sorrows and pains was to fight until nothing else stood in his way.

Learning not from a specific teacher, nor from any school, Hyuude became an accomplished hand to hand combatant, running up bets and winning illicit cage matches that usually (at first) had the odds thoroughly stacked against him, due to his young age. Soon, the odds began swinging firmly in his favor, as he continually won, his arrogance and confidence growing with each opponent he defeated.

Master Roshi and Krillin quickly noticed this, sensing the young man's power level flaring up and down erratically during the course of his fights (one of the reasons that scouters or detectors had not been able to find him), and saw in the hot-blooded Hyuude a chance to make a serious challenger. However, Hyuude's stubbornness and arrogance got the better of him, resulting in him only barely learning most of the lessons taught by the two, most of it in one ear and out the other or outright rejected as not the right way to do battle.

Now, he is almost a man. Almost of majority. The same thought that echoed through a scared little boy's head continually echoes now, "I am weak, I am worthless", but it is drowned out by a song, singing out into the skies above.....

You IDIOT! Don't you GET IT?! I am the fist that smashes the heavens! I am the hand that smites all of hell! Indomitable on land, water or sky, Relentless in combat, and undefeated in battle!

Powerlevel: 1,000. Not indicative of true strength, however, due to the rather special nature of Hyuude. Instead, more indicative of complete lack of discipline and self-control.

Techniques:
Due to only accepting token teachings from Master Roshi and Krillin, Hyuude has a rather.... Unique subset of techniques, in addition to not being able to control his Ki or flight very well. As a result, he focuses far more on the physical aspects of battle, and wild, nearly uncontrollable bursts of Ki. These techniques are used under his idea of a Martial Art, called Satsujinken, and were devised before he even met Krillin or Roshi.

- Burning, Burning!, BURNING!:

"I am the fist that smashes the heavens! I am the hand that smites all of hell! I am unparalleled under the limitless sky!"

Hyuude's power, seemingly, stems entirely from the fact that his own arrogance and ignorance fuels him, in addition to his lack of control over his own energy. Due to this, during a fight, if he does well, his power increases accordingly. If he does terribly, his power steadily begins to retreat as he begins to doubt himself.

- Tengokusumasshinguken (Heaven Smashing Fist):

"Now, to unleash the ultimate fighting technique, unrivaled underneath the stars! Tengokusumasshinguken!"

This technique relies entirely on Hyuude's lack of control over his own Ki, and revolves on manifesting his spiritual energy in the form of multiple close-ranged fists spiking out from his body in an uncontrollable and powerful wave. An EXTREMELY powerful close-ranged attack, but wasteful of Ki, and useless at range.

- Improved Kiai:

"You IDIOT! Don't you get it?! That won't work on me!"

Wielding his Ki much like a baseball bat, instead of calmly batting away weaker Ki attacks, Hyuude can instead choose to let out a loud shout and a stomp on the ground, at the same time emitting a flood of his own energy into the area around him. This dissipates most ki attacks sent at him (except those of great power), but tires him out quickly if he does it too often.

- Get SERIOUS!:

"What...? I'm not doing anything to him?! IMPOSSIBLE! Time to kick it up a notch....

This technique is much less a technique and much more Hyuude actually treating the fight seriously, instead of showing off and being an arrogant ass like he normally is. When taking the fight seriously, his power is overall increased greatly. However, taking a fight seriously means that he can't use most, if any of his more special techniques, rendering him capable of only doing techniques that are more conventional in nature. This is either a good thing, or a bad thing.

Name: Viral (Vee-rahl)

Age: Unknown (age dependent on Kakarot)

Gender: Male

Race: Beastman - an artificial lifeform created from the combining of animal DNA with human. His basic animal makeup is shark and feline DNA.

Appearance: Viral has fierce yellow eyes and stands at a height of 6'2". His hands are larger in proportion to the rest of his body. He never seems to show his right eye under all that matted hair:




Personality: Viral is a headstrong and cocky creature who isn't afraid to gloat about his power, but he has shown to have a gentler side to him at the odd times as well. He has an odd desire to cause destruction when he gets excited in battle, but he knows when to restrain himself when it is needed. His fierce will and confidence can alternate from his ultimate weapon to his weakness, showing that he does have a vulnerable side to his destructive personality. Despite all his flaws, he has a softer side where he is quick to assist allies by using his own body as a shield and standing up for them when it is needed most. He often shows a dislike for humanity due to his creator's views; however, this has shown to be due to his lack of understanding towards them.

Background: Viral was created in the wake of Kakarot's unrelenting rule over the planet, his life's purpose to serve those he considers worthy and to challenge Kakarot's reign to allow his creator to take control and become supreme ruler instead. His DNA is the infusion of the animal kingdom's ruling predators (minus the dinosaurs due to their vulnerabilities) in the body of a humanoid, creating what was supposed to be a tool in Kakarot's end; however, Viral's creator came to an unfortunate end. In the last step of his plan, he had gathered the Dragon Balls to give his creation immortality; of course, this didn't go unnoticed to Kakarot. Viral was cooperative, but he had little desire for true immortality and luckily for him the wish hadn't gone completely to his creator's desire due to his incredible will to gain in strength rather than become trapped in a never growing body. Viral's strong will to live rather than survive had only granted him partial immortality, meaning he had a regenerative healing factor that purely relied on his own will (meaning he would only heal quicker than normal humans) and a life that meant eternal youth, much like drinking the immortality elixir that the legendary Turtle Hermit, Roshi, consumed; he may had been granted immortality, but he was not invulnerable, much like Roshi again.

The darkened sky and large dragon wasn't hard to miss and Kakarot was quick to pinpoint the location; as if Kakarot would had ever thought someone would try and hunt them down without his...'permission'. Taking out Viral's creator and sending Viral off with a bang, he was left badly wounded, yet the knowledge was with him that his life would have to last through this horrible pain if he was to find Kakarot. He saw this small quiff as a failure on his part, one that he was forced to live through until he was able to confront Kakarot again. His failure had left his healing factor crippled, his ego completely ruined at this early point in his life; of course, luckily for him he had been found by the mysterious Turtle Hermit as he lay there washed up on a beach. While this was only the start of his life, he still had a lot to live and survive for as the immortal Turtle Hermit taught him. While Viral would never forget his true purpose in life, he was still willing to learn how to better himself after this early setback and train under this master to ultimately strive to defeat Kakarot.

Powerlevel: 2000

Techniques:

Wrath of Enkidu: His attacks are all collective in relation to what he is and the spirit of the beast within. He has a variety of specialty moves that others cannot learn:

• Unleashed Beast Form - Viral can unleash his inner bestial instincts to transform into a monster by using his inner spirit and will to take on his form. His physical power is increased while his energy is concentrated on keeping this form, showing that he hasn't fully mastered how to use ki in this form. Due to this being a planned change in his creation, he returns to normal without any clothing change. In this form, he has trouble controlling his savagery and may attack allies. Guess you could say it's his creator's version of Oozaru, just without the huge height disadvantage and less of an absurd power gain.
  
• Sun Beam - Viral can charge and summon a large purple beam of energy using the power from the sun rather than his own. This technique is very similar to the Kamehameha wave, only difference is it's created in front of him rather than in a sideways pose. The beam is most powerful during the day but wanes at night, it also requires a charge similar to the Kamehameha.
  
• Kunai Rockets - Viral can fire off quick energy spurts that act much like kunai knives; as for the 'rocket' part of their name, it tends to come from the fact that they can explode in front of him to create a smoke screen to blind his opponent temporarily so he can flee.

Other: Viral has superhuman senses due to his animal DNA with superior sensory abilities; however, that does make him weak to strong smells. Viral carries around a cleaver sword as a weapon, but can still make use of his large claws and hand-to-hand combat skills. Despite his so-called 'blessing' from the Eternal Dragon, he still feels pain after it's inflicted and will continue to feel it like a normal injury, even after his wounds have closed. He's very much a cat and shark at the same time, showing he can be quite the predator yet his movements are very cat-like. He has pointy shark teeth that will grow back if knocked out naturally, even without his regenerative healing. Viral's true desire in life is to find love and start a family, yet unfortunately his complex DNA means this will never be possible.
