    Nexinet Online IC Thread

It was a fine day In the City of Omer. After three years, the city had gotten used to it's more human counterparts, the players. However, some NPCs showed resentment against the player-controlled characters, dubbing them freaks of nature. You could see a few protesters making speeches about how the abominations should be rooted out. Other than that, the players were simply doing as they had for three years- Trying to make a living.

Peter had just arrived in the city looking to gain some gold raiding some dungeons, or doing a few quests for NPCs here and there. As he shifted through the wares of the General Store, he opened his menus. "Alright... Menu... Group finder..." He quickly entered a request for a random grouping with other people. He had heard things had gotten a bit dangerous around these parts, and he didn't want to die anytime soon. He watched as there was a small loading symbol as he started to buy potions, food, and whatnot for the upcoming weeks... He hadn't noticed it, but Peter did this so routinely that this was practically is life now, and he had all but forgotten his past life....

Caspian strutted through th streets of Omer. He brushed thourgh the bustling crowds of NPCs and players alike. He was in the busiest part of the city: The merchants shops. He was getting differing signals from various people who had heard of him. Many just watched him pass, while others would glare and sneer, some of their faces showed fear. Fear that they might be the next one to perish by his hand.

Caspian walked up to merchant stall and slammed a large sack onto the wooden counter."That's ten heads. Now I want my loot." His voice was cold and harsh as he spoke to the plump man, wearing an eyepatch, that was the Headhunter merchant named Lobo. Caspian couldn't care less where the heads went,as long as it kept food in his virtual stomach good. Lobo gave a hearty laugh."Only ten? Havin' a slow day bucko?

Karol’s eyes wandered the street as well as the shops. There were always many players and NPCs in Oren at this time of day, and the crowds sometimes made it difficult to find what you were looking for. Especially if you were looking for quests. Of course there were usually plenty, but today someone always seemed to take them before she even had a chance to look. There were other ways to make money though.

Spotting a booth selling various food items and potions, she walked over to see what was there. The one running the store was a stereotypical old lady NPC, wearing an apron and with her hair in a tight bun. She adjusted her glasses in order to see her customer better. “Hello, young lady! See something you like?” Deciding to kill some lower leveled mobs to sell their items, Karol nodded and started buying a couple of health and mana potions.

Marcus raise and lowered his hammer on the iron bar he was working into a sword. The orc stick the iron bar back into the forge he sat down in near by chair to waiting for the metal to heat back up. He repeated the process in-till he had the sword made setting it to the grin stone then polish it. Feeling satisfied with his work he slipped the blade into a sheath he made earlier, setting the bladed into a bundle with other random weapons. Marcus lifted the bundle up and head of the market walking for minute he arrived at the weapons dealer, "I have your order" he set the bundle down on the counter. The merchant gave him a bag of coins the orc left the shop and when into the market to buy some supplies.

An Ork, Space Marine and Eldar are walking down the road. They see a Chaos portal that has a sign on it. It says: 'say what is true or be sucked in'. The Space Marine says: "I think I'm the bravest" and walks past safely, the Eldar says: "I think I'm the most agile" and walks past safely. The Ork says: "Me thinks..." and gets sucked into the portal.

Ellie walked through the streets, NPCs making rude comments of her here and there. She bought this game to get away from her real life, but it wasnt much different. People still bullied her. She continued to walk down the street, her head facing the floor. She was headed to buy some health potions, since she wanted to do one of the tougher dungeons before calling it a day. Ellie knew that for being 3 years inside this game, she was rather advanced. She hadnt made many friends though, she mostly kept to herself. She spotted the Auction House, and headed straight towards it. That was usually where you could find the best deals, and make the most money of course. She had found a rare scythe, weaker than hers, that would surely sell for a good price to other Reapers. She walked into the Auction house and headed towards one of the tellers. "Morning, put this up for 300 gold." She handed the scythe slowly to the teller, and he took it, sneering at Ellie. Ellie sighed and walked out of the Auction House, now heading to the General Goods store. She wasnt sure why she wanted the gold though, she already had plenty. Ellie guessed that it was her lust for reaching 1 Million gold. She continued down the road once again, clearing her mind of all her thoughts and enjoying the beautiful City of Omer.

Isaac is scouting the market for potential party members. Names flash past him. Bluug Teribiy, Florp Duzzpoo, Caspian Williamson, Rirol Marge, Market Grandma.... Slowing down near Market Grandma, he casually pulls back his hood and slides next to a girl about his age named Karol Williams who had just finished buying potions. He makes sure to lightly nudge her with his elbow.

(If Karol ignores him) Isaac pretends that nothing happened and proceeds to head towards the General Store

(If Karol turns to see who nudged her) Turning to meet her gaze, he smiles warmly. "Hey, Karol... Your name sounds familiar... Do I know you from somewhere?" He lifts his cloak slightly to reveal his spellbook. "Wind Mage. Care to join my side? Just the two of us... for now." He pulls out his party roster, waiting for a response.

Alicen walked down the streets, avoiding bumping into people- well the NPC's anyway. They always freaked out if she ever touched them; like she had some kind of virus. She was used to it, after being stuck in this game for three years. She sighed, brushing some hair back from her face, eyes sweeping around at the hustle and bustle this time of day seemed to bring. She wondered if anyone required a Spirit Healer; she hadnt had a job in a few weeks and she was starting to run low on money; not that she had any to really begin with. She sighed once more, gazing at the sky with a thoughtful expression.

"I could make it eleven." Caspian snarled, glaring at the NPC."Esh, you player killers need some friends." The old NPC laughed heartily as he handed a bag of gold to Caspian, and Caspian handed him the sack of heads."Did 'ya hear about the riot in the next town over? Those NPCs were tired of having to deal with us it seems." Caspian chuckled as the merchant stared him down."Don't get your knickers in a twist, old man." Caspian said as he took the bag and left the stand.

Caspian started off towards the general store to purchase some more mana potions. He was always low on them, with all the fighting he did on a daily basis. He reached the store, dropping the bag the headhunter merchant had given him in exchange for the heads on the counter."Twenty mana potions, and make it quick. I've got dungeons to run and players to exterminate." He wrinkled his nose as he watched the old female NPC waddle over towards where she kept the mana potions.

Evelyn, Captain_Eve tilted her head to the left a little as she aimed up her shot. She let go of the string as it hit the beast with a -thud-. She startled it, and his friend unfortunately. "Shit." she mumbled as two large creatures stampeded at her. Releasing arrows as fast as she could she got one down as the other still charged. Eve quickly went to load a poison tipped arrow to realize it was empty. 'Just my luck.' she thought as she reached for an arrow, but too slowly as the beast hit her and dropped her health quite a bit. She groaned as she finally lined up the shot and killed the beast with one more arrow. 'I'm getting too soft' Evelyn thought to herself as she collected the packages that would fall from the two beasts. 4 Horns. 2 Furs. She hoped that this would be enough to heal herself up, as she had forgotten to purchase any potions that morning.

Sweeping through the town of Omer, she adjusted her inventory and bow on her back. Why did the town have to be so packed at this time of the day. Even if she had been in the game for this long now, she never could get used to the crowds in the square. Finally finding a NPC she waited for it to clear up a little, as it seemed everyone was doing business with the little old lady.

Ellie decided to go hunting in the fields of Omer. She wanted to see how enemies that used to be so threatening and striking would seem to her as weak and pathetic now. She walked through the huge gates, carved of stone as old as time it seemed, with her scythe sticking out in front of her. As she walked through the fields she saw barely anybody fighting. She would see an archer here and there one hit killing all the deer who would roam the place freely. Other than that it was just her. She casually spun her scythe around in a bored gesture, as she spotted *The Cave of Drakes*. It was a very low level raiding area. She herself had done it multiple times, alone though. The Black Drake at the end would drop rare items such as *Lightning Bows* and *Swords of the Burn* but she did not have much luck finding a scythe that would suit her. She decided to try it out again, for what seemed to be 1000th time. She walked up to the entrance, which was a huge hole on the side of a rather large hill. Two braziers lit with black fire crackled in the silence of the woods. She smirked and headed inside, hoping that someone would join her this time around.
