Here's a gripping plot: a clown is HIV positive and an alcoholic, and being a bitter, spiteful man who is never seen smiling under his joyous make up, he decides to take his resentment and frustrations out on the rest of the circus, determined to infect them all. As well, the lion tamer is depressed from having taken an art degree in college and wasted his life potential, so he waxes his hair with bacon grease in hopes the lions will end his misery. The contortionist is a recovering sex addict who dabbles in hard drugs and hasn't been home in over 12 years when she ran off with her punk rock aspiring boyfriend who dumped her for the Mexican immigrant next door. Also, there's an elephant who goes on a rampage and charges the audience. It will be a happy tale of overcoming adversity in a dead end workplace and learning you can't trust anyone who shoots themselves out of cannons for a pay cheque.
