Zombie Apocalypse IC

Life has been difficult since the very first outbreak in Florida, December 21, 2012. Still, we thought that the army would first get it under control but nearly passed it off as a minor illness and not as it is. A disease that kills you and leaves your body as an empty husk that feeds off of other living creatures, spreading it through the same eating method they themselves use. Florida's water supply soon turned poisonous due to the Flesh Eaters leaving corpses from previous meals in the reservoirs, slowly deteriorating inside of lakes and such, or even being killed by wildlife and causing them to become infected as well.
Eventually, the infection spread from practically a handful of denizens to the entire population in a matter of days. Then, the United States, (excluding a couple of survivors) was conquered in a matter of weeks, then the world in approximately a few months due to travelers with the disease.
You remember how I said a few survivors, right? The survivors are lead in a few different crews of their own. They have very different methods, and they all have very different leader systems and or governments, but eventually, they will locate each other in order to endure the rest of this "Zombie apocalypse". My name is Jason. Jason Grace. My nick name is Wolfy. So you'll have to forgive me if the group I partake in, confuses you with what they may address me as. For any survivor who finds these recordings, you must listen to them until the end if you wish to join us.

I awoke inside of my apartment building in the city of Lynn, Massachusetts. It was in the Boston area. I had taken my armor off for the night, I remembered this as I felt it by my feet. It was still night time as the moon was high in the sky, allowing the flesh walkers even more power to prowess in silence besides the shuffling of feet and the snapping of jaws against skin. My only lullaby was the screeching, groaning, and moaning of the decomposing corpses that loitered the ground below me. "I can't stay here forever..." I muttered to myself. The corpses were barricaded away from the apartment building due to the iron fence around it. It was electrified a while ago and I had just recently thrown a new circuit breaker into it for protection against the zombies. I had picked up an unconscious survivor the day before. He was in a car and he's lucky he never made much noise since the zombies didn't take heed to his new meat. Someone I'm hoping I can talk about another means of finding shelter. I laid back down in my bed to the electric zaps that warded off the zombies so they wouldn't collect in huge piles and they would eventually ignore me throught the rest of the night or day. Whichever would break first. After hours on edge of silence, I decided to brew some coffee from the coffee machine using bottled waters. Maybe the survivor would like some as well. I thought to myself. I heard the footprints shuffle and click away. Away from my building I called a home. "Are those footsteps the sound of survivors in a dead world, or the sound of the dead in a world barely living?" I asked myself.

I had woken up in an unfamiliar place and sat up, I looked around. "Where am I...?" I wondered, I looked around groggily, and then stood up quickly. "Mom and dad, the car, Leon...!" I said, I remembered that I had been in a car accident with my mom and dad as we were on a trip, we were going through Massachusetts, when suddenly dad swerved the car out of the road, we ran into a lamp post and I slammed my head in the back of the head rest, I had lost consciousness from the impact, I got up and walked out of the room. "Hello...?" I called out softly.

I looked over at him, I walked over to him. "Good. You woke up." I said with a trust worthy and friendly smile. "I'm making coffee. Would you like some soon?" I asked, still with a polite and friendly smile. I was in a plain white T-shirt and I was wearing my jeans with socks. My brain curly hair poofed into bed head, and my dark brown eyes had bags under them.

"Who are you, where am I, what happened, where's my mom and dad and my brother?" I asked quickly.

Rhyss was barricaded in a hospital panicking the zombies were in the hospital and it wasn't very long until they'd get to his door yes it was heavily barricaded and yes there was an escape route he planned but if he tripped up and fell he'd be infected for sure. He had only been recently transferred to america to try and help some patients that were infected by early strains of the virus little did he know it'd get worse and worse. "... oh man... I hear them outside... I... I hear them... and they're coming for me... damn why didn't we burn the bodies we were to into investigating... the virus... that causes this..." he heard a bang on the door and picked up his gun in panic. He also grabbed a scalpel and a few medical supplies quickly. "oh god..." zombies were at his door and he had to escape. he started to move to his secondary hiding spot in the hospital which was near the exit which was fully barricaded so he was safe. "... oh man..."

"Whoa, whoa, whoa." I said quickly. "Take it easy slugger. My name is Wolfy. I look the part, don't I?" I asked with a small chuckle. "You're in my house. I kept you away from the damn flesh eaters. It was only you in that car. What is your name, kid?" I asked. "Oh, lemme take off that bandage. We could salvage it." I said, slowly and carefully unwrapping the bandages from Joe's head after treating the wound I found him with on his head. "You sure you okay?" The coffee machine had finished making a fresh pot of coffee. I walked over to it and pulled out powdered creamer and sugar. "C'mere." I said. I grabbed two empty water bottles from filling the coffee machine with it; filling half of it with black coffee and handing it to Joe. "I dunno how you take yours." I said to him. "But use whatever you like." I said. Fixing myself some of it with creamer and sugar and when I wanted to mix it, I capped the water bottle and I shook it up nice and good, uncapped it, and started drinking it down until the last drop.

"M-My name is Joe... and what flesh eaters?" I asked, we hadn't been near a TV in a couple of days so we didn't know anything about the infection, I took the coffee and grabbed the sugar and creamer and did the same as he did.

"Pleasure to meet you Joe." I said. "Flesh eaters. You know, the zombies. How long have you been out?" I asked. "And no, I'm not kidding. I'm serious." I said, showing him the bite marks in my jeans that never went through. "I made my clothes durable by accident. I messed around a lot with my chemistry set." I said with a chuckle.

"Z-Zombies?" I asked, I looked at him shocked. "M-My family went on this road trip, we've been sleeping in our car instead of renting hotel rooms, we've been out of touch with just about everyone since our phones died..." I said sighing. "...I hope that they're alright..." I said quietly, I saw the bite marks. "You made your clothing durable?" I asked, I tilted my head.

Rhyss kept hiding quietly hoping that something or someone would save him one day. All the other doctors and nurses were dead so he's been alone surviving on cafeteria scraps that weren't rotten. He sat in his new room quietly looking out the window hearing groans and moans from the walking dead that roamed the streets.
"... i'm so glad i've not got close to one of those bastards in this state..." he says
