Prism haphazardly walked into the bar. He was used to the underground areas of the mines, but he liked to wander around in the outside world on occasion. He felt uncomfortable among all these skinned surface-dwellers, but he felt like he did a good job of hiding it. Someone made a jovial comment at him, calling him 'Rocky', and welcomed him to their table. Prism thought they must have the wrong elemental, so he politely refused with, "NO. I AM PRISM." Prism then walked up to the bartender and asked for, "A DRINK OF SPRINGWATER. PLEASE BE QUICK." He sat back and watched the bar. He really didn't get all of this soft-skinned subtlety that was at work in the tavern...

Zeke turned his head and watched as yet another small conflict burst through the silence of the bar.

The Neo, after conflicting with the Dwarf over what he could only assume was 'business', had now caused a commotion with the hooded figure.

"Looks like that guy isn't having a good day!" Zeke smirked, attempting to get the attention of the pretty young waitress that had started her shift only moments before.

After cleaning up the table and not getting a response from the Dwarf she shrugged her shoulders and would get him one anyways. As the strange being walked into the room she cautiously watched out of the corner of her eye as she went to the bar to get him another drink. She nodded to Leo and he knew to take the being that came in and the others that came in as she took over the bar for a while and passed him the beer for the man.

Vaka got behind the bar and heard the two men and their comments. "That Neo just doesn't know respect. He is the worst customer when it comes to manners but always pays his tab." She said cleaning up the bar from sloshed drinks. She sighed and started to continue the restocking John had been doing before he had fallen ill. As the giant rock figure asked for spring water she bade him to wait a moment before she found a suitable glass.

Alina glared at the waitress who handed her the water bottle as she walked away. Grumbling something inaudible, she took the water bottle grudgingly and took a swig from it.
"Now I'm only going to be buzzed for the next hour..."
She decided that the events unfolding behind her were much more interesting to watch than the bar table, so she turned around. Alina noticed that the Neo who the Dwarf was previously dealing with, was now attempting to rob, in her words, a F.A.G (Freaky Alien Genotype.....what?). What happen did puzzle her a bit. All the alien did was flip the Neo onto his table, stare at him for a bit, then the Neo just ran out.

"Looks like that guy isn't having a good day!" said a man a few seats away from him.

"No shit.." she said in matter of fact tone of voice. She took off her helmet for the first time in awhile, revealing her pure, short cut white hair. Alina read the inscription scraped in the side of her helmet.

"Wo ist dein Gott jetzt?" read the inscription with Sturm55 scratched in on the other side. The inscription was the motto of the Sturm55 and was commonly shouted by its soldiers in battle.
"Wo ist dein Gott jetzt....?" she read quietly to herself. "Where is you god now? Huh, I guess that cuts both ways..." she thought.

Looking at the inscription on last time, she placed the finely crafted helmet back onto her head, looking around the bar simply watching the commotion of the lively place.

"No shit indeed!" Zeke sniggered, turning in his seat to face the soldier

"Forgive me for being rude, i'm merely being curious. But, shouldn't you be doing something about them?"

He shrugged his shoulders as he thought some more before replying.

"Looking like one of the most hard-ass cops in this fine establishment, I would expect you'd get no trouble from them!"

He once again took a moment to think as he looked over to the rather large, crystal chappy that had just walked in.

"Besides, if Skippy over here decides he wants in in the fun, I think the owners will probably end up forking out some money to... I don't know... Rebuild the whole place?"

Alina shook her head and turned to reply to the man who seemed to be a mechanic, guessing by his clothing. She ignored the praise he was giving to her and just replied.
"No, my days of being a soldier are over, I came here to drink not fight, but I guess I'm getting neither" she said holding up the water bottle. "For better or for worst I suppose."
She then looked over to the elemental creature that the mechanic was talking about.
"It would be more than just rebuilding the place, he would need a few shovels too." she said with her typical matter of fact tone. "I've only fought one of those back where I came from, one of the elemental's biggest strengths is that they are some tough bastards to put down, even with energy weapons. It took my entire squad to take down one. Typically they don't form naturally, and are studied, so I wonder how he got here..."

"All that aside, I don't think he is going to cause any trouble around here, to be completely honest, he's the first one I've seen who wasn't enslaved or brainwashed like the few others." she said, studying the elemental.

"I'm glad to hear you managed to escape the clutches of the forces in one piece!"

Zeke let out a big sigh and thought over the days events, quickly ordering a drink for himself and the lady next to him in the process.

"At the rate things are going, one of the only options left for me is joining the reserves. I'm no fighter, but i'm pretty handy with a wrench!"

What he had said was true. He didn't really know what possessed him to come to North Urth in the first place. He had no money, no family, nowhere to live... He didn't even have a girlfriend! All he did have was his rucksack, which contained a spare set of clothes and about @500 for food and a place to stay, and his rather large suitcase full of tools and spare parts. If it did come down to signing onto the reserves, the only thing he'd have left to do would be to sell his tools and sign his life away.

The only thing he had left to live for was whatever his destiny had in store for him!

"You don't happen to know somewhere I could find a room for a few days? Maybe even a job?"

"A being's fate is not defined by the will of the whole, but by the constant struggle between the universal powers of Good and Evil. Does that mean we are not but pawns in the hands of angry gods?"
    - Zeratul: Pondering the Universe
    ----------------------------
Zeratul stared around the bar as he studied the many creatures around him. The Dwarf appeared to be no threat at the moment, but he knew from experience that they weren't very trustworthy, or at least he had yet to find one like that. The Elven woman looked like she could be a threat. The last time he fought an Elf, he came out of there with severe wounds. It was by the grace of the gods that he had recovered fully. He was stronger now, but he would not underestimate her. The humans were no threat. He was physically faster and stronger than many of their best warriors. Then he looked at the halflings. They were very strong, but their strength was their weakness. He had yet to battle a halfling, but he figured that with enough meditation and prayer, he could defeat one. The rock creature took his gaze next. He knew they were as powerful as an Immortal-Class battle walker, but their intelligence and agility were severly lacking.

It was then that he noticed another figure in the shadows that appeared to be doing what he was: Studying the bar. What was his purpose? Was he an assassian as well? He didn't know what it was, but he felt.....apprehension. It was not something he had felt in almost 80 years.....

Elmyra grunted as she came to a strange "bar". She wasn't sure what a "bar" consisted of but she ventured in anyway. Her bow hung on her shoulder and her quiver on her back. She pushed her slick black hair out of her face and behind her ear. There was a mass amount of people within and her heart jumped at all of the people. She stood at the end of the bar, waiting for the man with the glasses to come to her. But he ignored her numerous times. Finally, he took the sight of her in. "Are you just going to stand there, girl? Are you going to drink?" Elmyra glanced around at the other people. They were holding glasses of strange colored liquids. Shrugging, she nodded her head. "I will have some."

"What will you have?" He groaned.

Her eyes fell on a stranger nearby. "What he is having."

The bartender rolled his eyes as he went to make the drink. The young elf continued to study the many people in the bar. A smile spread on her lips.

Alina once again shook her head

"I can not help you with that since I just got off a ship at the port. I don't even know what the military situation here is on this planet, so I guess as long as you stay away from any special op stuff, then you will probably make out alive." she said to the mechanic

"Back where I came from, mechanics where a valued profession. My planet, Karsand, is very industrious, so it was always in need of good mechanics. Maybe you should try going there, if you don't mind the poisoned atmosphere, lack of plant life, and acid rain. Other than that, its not so bad, and the last time I checked the demand was pretty high. Especially after our planet was raided.

She thought back to how she had left her home planet. Alina remembered the gas masked guards at the half ruined space port, the sealed off sections of the massive docks, the ruins of the collapsed space elevator.

"Home sweet home.." she thought to herself.
