Evon listened to his story, finding it much more interesting compared to hers. Even the way he went about to describing it was unique and so filled with passion that it could easily catch anyone’s interest. She let out a soft chuckle every now and then surprised that she was enjoying herself with the two. Evon turned her head when the bell rang as she sighed knowing that they had class. Evon thought about going home and finally getting to drive. Evon nodded to Danielle as she wished for her to have a good evening whilst Ahn came over. Blinking with surprise at the gesture it took all of her effort not to pull her hand back since she didn’t like close interactions especially one so sudden with someone she had just met, but she endured it knowing that if she were to pull back it would raise up questions.

“Have a nice day, Ahn,” she replied as she watched him leave. Soon turning to Linda she smiled, “Can you get the car?” she said with a little excitement as Linda chuckled and nodded. It didn’t take long for someone to come get her as Evon immediately handed her schoolbag to Linda so she could get in. Once inside she urged the driver to drive a little fast. The driver blinked but nodded to her request seeing no harm it in. Linda couldn’t help but notice how much happier she seemed though she was unsure over it was because of Ahn or the fact that she could go off on her own. Either way the she endured the long journey, though once she reach back the energy returned back to her. “I’m going to see if Mathias is home,” she said as she opened the door and dashed out and into the manor wondering if he was home. She figured she would see him first to let him know that she was back and also let him be the one to give her the car. “Oh Martin!” she greeted him once she saw him carrying out his duties as he bowed and politely greeted her. “Is Mathias home?” she asked him hoping he was.

Mathias had indeed returned from his duties as well. There was more later in the night, but those people would be coming to him rather than the other way around. Martin bowed politely saying "Welcome home milady." before going to answer her question. He was a butler first, and only other things later after all. "Mathias is indeed home. He's currently in the music room I believe. And otherwise you can find him in the library." Linda finally entered as well with Evon's bag. She put it down near the coat rack, figuring her charge might need a bit of help to find Mathias first. Plus Evon seemed so eager to start driving that she probably didn't have time to properly put the bag away at the moment.

Indeed Mathias was in the music room, playing on his electric guitar a little. It sounded awful compared to the previous thing he had played, though that was because it was a new song he was trying to learn. First he had to be able to place his fingers right, after that he could work on his 'flow'. He looked up when he heard a knock, telling them to enter. With a slight grin he saw it was Evon. No doubt she was eager to go to the cars, but it was a nice gesture to first come and greet him. "Good evening Evon. I take it you'd like to go to my cars right away? We can talk about other things later." Youth should still enjoy life. Not be too concerned with what 'should' be done, but instead with what they 'wanted' to do. The man stood, putting his guitar away and taking the lead towards the garage. They walked to a door in the left wing of the mansion, which had spiral stairs leading down to the garage. Once there he turned on the lights, and motioned towards the three cars standing in the large room. There was easily room for another 2 cars if Mathias wanted them.

All three were entirely different. The first was an oldtimer; a Rolls Royce. The second one a large luxury car; a BMW. And the last one, the one Mathias wanted Evon to drive, was a sports car; a Corvette. "Considering the situation, I think you'll like the Corvette the most. It's a very comfortable car, but also has a lot of power for a bit of fun. Apparently it can reach 60 miles an hour in 3.6 seconds. If you want to, of course."

Evon nodded to Martin before dashing off up the stairs and into the hallways. Martin chuckled at the young girl’s energy as he returned back to what he was doing before Evon had come back. Making her way through the halls, Evon was surprise to see that she wasn’t having much of a hard time find the music room, guessing that she was finally getting used to it. As she got closer she could hear the guitar though it didn’t sound as good as when he played it before. Politely she knocked letting him know that she was there as she popped her head inside smiling. She chuckled when she heard him speak as it was obvious that she wanted to drive and he had clearly picked up on her excitement. “Really?” she replied as her smile widened. Immediately she followed him all the way downstairs.

Blinking at the cars she was presented with she eagerly made her way over wanting to take a closer look. “Wow,” she replied in shock, they looked practically new and her fingers touched the BMW, liking the layout of it. She was always found of cars that were comfortable to drive in, but she had to admit that the Corvette was calling out to her. “I want to try the Corvette,” she bluntly stated with a cheesy grin though she made her way over to him tip toeing as she pressed her lips against his cheek. “Thank so much,” she said softly feeling excited to drive it she waited for him to reply. She knew she was probably going to end up spending a lot of her time driving especially if the cars were this good looking and fancy.

Mathias smiled at Evon's reaction. She was clearly impressed with his small collection. The first car he had ever bought, a luxury car for business trips, and a sports car for fun. All you needed in his opinion. Well, maybe a motorcycle...but he never liked driving those a lot for some reason. "Corvette it is." He replied, moving to a small wooden cabinet near the entrance. Though before he could get the key Evon gave him a kiss on his cheek. It made him stop for a brief moment, finding the gesture quite...pleasant and surprising. Yet also a bit awkward. He would rather see Evon as an adult, but instead he kind of felt like a father receiving gratitude from his daughter. It was a...weird feeling to say the least. He quickly grabbed the keys and handed them over, motioning towards the car. The man let Evon take the lead, letting her take the driver's seat. But before she could be off there were two more things. First, he wanted to show her what was what. Secondly, Linda had to accompany her no matter what. Mathias' informants had spoken of 'him' starting to move. Like 'he' was gathering a small group of vampires to do...'something'. And no doubt it was something that also affected him and Evon. So at the very least Linda had to be there to protect her if the need arose.

"I'll give you a quick explanation of everything." He spoke, starting to point out every button on the radio, where the reverse was on the manual transmission, how it was better to start of slowly as this car really had a lot of power in it, that she didn't have to worry about tickets too much, but only this one time, and finally directions to two back roads nearby that were great to drive on. Linda had walked into the garage as well during the time that Mathias was explaining. Once she reached the car she waited beside the passenger side for Mathias to get out. Her instructions were clear. Unless something truly dangerous happened, like a vampire mugger or 'him' showing up, she was not to speak of what happened during Evon's strip. This was her 'alone time', or at least 'alone' for as much as possible.

Evon was trying her best to hide her excitement. Seeing him grab the keys and hand them over to her was not helping though as she eagerly made her way over to the car and unlocked it. She of course made sure to be gently with it, not wanting to damage or stain the car even if it would be washed or taken care of later. She listened intently to him grasping everything he was telling her. She glanced as he pointed and made any notes in her head if it was important but so far it was the usual. The car looked extremely new and she had to wonder if he even drove it around, but then again he seemed like the type to have enjoyed someone driving him around… plus he was probably too busy. Either way the instructions seemed easy and she found no problem with it until he mentioned Linda. She stopped as she stared at him with a raised brow, knowing that she had requested to go alone as long as she didn’t go out of the town area. “Wait… why is Linda coming with me? You said I could go alone,” she claimed as she pouted. It wasn’t that like disliked the girl… it just seemed like she was always being watched or guarded. It felt weird… the only alone time she got was being in her room but yet that felt lonely.

Evon had honestly planned to visit her old house… it was a couple hours away hence why she chose the sports car and yes it was going against his orders but she missed the place. If Linda had come then she’d definitely tell Mathias about it and she would maybe never be allowed to drive again. “I won’t crash the car, I promise,” she added wondering if that was partly why he was asking Linda to follow her.

Mathias sighed, having already anticipated that Evon would protest. He shook his head and looked at her seriously. "It's not about that, Evon. Today I had a meeting with an...informant of mine. There is a dangerous man in the UK. A man that will take any chance he get to get to me. You, not knowing any self-defense as far as I know, are an easy target. Linda on the other hand is trained to be your bodyguard as well as your maid. I want her to come with you to protect you from him. So this man doesn't kidnap or hurt you to get to me. I realize it must be annoying to always be watched. Especially at your age. But I promise that Linda won't tell me anything about what you'll be doing or where you'll be going when you're away. That is, unless there is a dangerous situation. If this dangerous man decides to indeed go after you, for instance. So please try to understand that this is needed, if only to make sure that you can live a relatively normal life, safe from my problems until you are allowed to live on your own."

The man got out now, motioning for Linda to step in instead. Once the maid was seated she closed the door and looked apologetically to her charge. "Sorry it has to be this way, miss Evon." She then leaned in, whispering so that Mathias wouldn't hear. "You're planning to go visit your parents' house, right? Don't worry, I won't tell the master a thing." Mathias didn't -want- to send Linda with her, really. But the danger of something happening because she was an easy target was too great. Evon didn't realize it yet, most likely, but the deeper world of vampires could be considered as dangerous as something like the cold war. Tensions were hidden under the surface, but they were still there and dangerous. And a wrong shift in the power balance between two opposing sides could spell disaster for one of them.

Evon blinked at his reply, but she respected his decision glad that he was being honest. Sure it was a pain but the fact that he told her straight out why made a huge difference. She did however ponder on why he was being a target, she had assumed that all was smooth sailing for him but apparently not. “Alright,” she said sounding a little down but accepting of his words. “We’ll be fine, don’t worry too much,” she said seeing that he wouldn’t if Linda was with her. She figured she’d have to change her course since she had planned on going alone.

Evon sighed when she heard Linda speak, she wasn’t in the mood for it since she had to change plans but she felt Linda draw closer soon whispering in her ear. She turned her head with wide eyes wondering how she had known; she hadn’t told Linda anything about it. “How did you know?” she whispered back as she glanced over at Mathias noticing how he had backed away and stood at the door as if he was waiting to see her depart. She turned on the engine deciding not to prolong it too long since it’d be a little suspicious. “Better buckle up Linda,” Evon said a little seriously as she put it into gear. Driving slow at first to get used to it’s power she waited for the large gates to open before finally leaving having honked a few times as if she was saying goodbye. After a few minutes she began to lower her foot down increasing the speed, of course she knew what her limit was and she didn’t want to push it since it was a car she wasn’t used to. Her home was far from Mathias so she drove a little fast not wanting to waste any time hanging around. Both Linda and her made small talk during the ride and within half an hour Evon slowed the car as she entered a neighbourhood area, one she recognize. Finally bringing the car outside her house she stopped it staring at the lonesome house from inside the car. She felt the lump in her throat a part of her began to wonder why she had returned. Turning off the engine she turned and faced Linda, "shall we?" she asked with a weak smile.

Linda smiled, shrugging. "It's my job to know how you think, miss. So I can tend to your needs as best as possible even before you've explicitly told me so. I wasn't sure to be honest, it just seemed one of the more obvious places where you'd want to go. But now that I know your response I know for sure." She winked, then buckled up as she was told to and waited for Evon to drive off.

Mathias watched them leave from the garage door. It was raining slightly, and like most people he didn't like getting cold water on him when outside. Then once she was gone he sighed and turned around. "That girl...what is she up to? She wanted to go alone a bit too eagerly..." He mused to himself, but then decided to no longer ponder over it. He could worry all he wanted, but Linda was with her so things should be fine. The hardest part would probably be not wanting to find out where she had gone once the two of them had returned. But as much as he wanted to know every detail, he knew that she was old enough to not be babied anymore. Even if Evon was incredibly young in his eyes, he knew that she wasn't a child any more.

The man headed to the game room, deciding that a game of pool together with Martin might help him take his mind off of things. It was still a while before his guest would arrive, and it was best to not ponder over useless things to ponder about during that time.

Evon opened the door and got out, feeling the rain against her skin as she walked up the pathway up to her house. For some reason the house seemed so lonely and there was a part of it seemed eerie. Taking out the old keys she opened it pushing the door open as she tried turning the light on. The living room lit up and she saw how most of the furniture was covered by a thin plastic transparent sheet. Gliding her finger across it she took in a deep breath having missed the smell of her old house. Making her way over to the fireplace she picked up one of the photos that had been resting flat down. She had missed them but there was nothing left she could at this point but stare sadly at the memories she had here.

The sudden shattering of glass caught her attention as she snapped to where the noise had originated from. It was from upstairs in her parents’, room. Without thinking she made her way over to the stairs staring upwards, wondering if she should check it out but she looked in Linda’s direction unsure of what to do with the situation. Had someone broken in? She wasn’t too sure herself. Linda frowned as she motioned Evon to step away as she placed a finger at her lips motioning to remain silent in which Evon did so with ease.

Linda stepped out as well, following silently behind Evon. She figured it was best to not say anything right now, and let Evon take her time. Inside, she stayed by the door for the same reason. Her charge walked around, looking at various things. It probably brought back good memories, but was also painful since her parents' death was still fresh in her memory. Maybe this was her way of getting closure? Either way, Linda figured she should stay out of the way until Evon called for her. However that time came rather quickly. Suddenly glass shattered upstairs. Linda frowned and rushed to the stairs just as Evon had. After a moment of thought she turned to Evon and took her hand. "I would say stay here while I go have a look, but this isn't a movie so...please excuse me for my rashness but come with me where I can protect you." She quickly started to head up the stairs pulling Evon with her. She was of course still careful about her not tripping, but they had to be fast at times like this.

(Hard to post more since I don't know who this person is. ^^;; Also, couldn't resist but put a joke about the movie cliché; "Stay here, I'll go check it out." and then someone comes from behind to grab the one staying behind. :P)
