A Next Gen, Non-Generic Zombie RP

Zombie RP's have become a zombie a dozen on sites like this. They Are often just simply "Hit them in the head and run." So what if we made a new Virus? A mutagen that not only causes Zombies, but all sorts of creatures to have to fight. A game that wasn't completely easy to to survive and dominate.

I want to create a game like this, one that had both action, story, and fear. I want you to worry about if your character will survive the night or not. You should be afraid to open that door, because if you do, you may be attacked by god knows what. You may not want to go for that weapon in the middle of an open road, because god knows what i'm waiting for you too. I am a baiter, and I love to set up traps.

If the virus is constantly mutating, the creatures constantly become stronger and deadlier. Not all the creatures you face will be as dumb as the bumbling zombies you know and love. That being said, I am always up for new suggestions, If you have a new and creative idea for me to kill you with, a new monster, or a new scenario, dont hesitate to post it! Or, if you would rather keep it secret until it shows up in game, PM me, I love a good "Oh fuck" Moment as much as the next guy. I also plan on keeping a thread just for the monsters created, so that there will be a quick reference to look through.


I would be only GMing this game. My job will be creating atmosphere and helping the story move along. Also, coming up with creative ways to kill you all. I am willing to co-GM with someone able to live up to some standards. You have to be able to keep a good atmosphere. And you also have to be able to keep up with the posters here.

People would be allowed two Characters at a time, This is so that I can easily keep track of all the people. After your first person, your second has to be interesting or it simply wont be accepted. and can make a new one if a previous one dies. I may retract this rule if to many people show up. Or just get a Co-GM.

I originally put this post in the casual section. Someone brought up how this game could be considered close to Resident Evil. While I am a huge Resident Evil fan, These game will be far from the same thing. While yes, the concepts are similar in ways, the overall styles are totally different. The main problem I have found in the Resident Evil series is that everything is handed to you. You open a chest and all of a sudden you find a machine gun. Even the characters you play are so far beyond the average human that they are practically invincible (Chris Redfield punching through skulls, and moving a three ton boulder with his fist anyone?) In fact, in this game, you are average. You are no more likely to survive then the next asshole. And your not going to just stumble along and find a bad ass gun. You arnt going to stumble along and find anything. You had better tell me that you look through those cabinets, because I am not going to do it for you. And even if you do find this gun, you had better know how to use it. Because if not, your liable to shoot your friend, or yourself.

Anyways, if anyone else is interested, or if anyone else has some suggestions, Just post here. I am still debating on whether or not to make this still, and If I do, I would need some dedicated people.

I would rate this as low to Mid casual. I don't plan on being a major Nazi about it, But I expect quality in post. Good Grammar and punctuation, I am slightly more lenient about spelling, because I am not the best speller myself. This entire apocalypse will be shaped by you guys, so the more dedication you put in your post, the better, more enrichening your story will be!

Dont worry, I wont be SUPER harsh on you. I just wanted people able of committing and doing decent post. A crowd more willing to have a deep and in depth Zombie RP.
