Nera couldn't help but be fascinated at the gnome's work, disguising the wagons as what may as well've been a mobile brothel. It was enough to make her sort of jealous. Perhaps after all of this, she would ask the little man how he did it.
Eventually, one of the wagon's archers cried something out. Intrigued, she poked her head out of the wagon. There were several strange, green, man-shaped creatures moving towards them in a fairly hostile manner. The foes seemed to outnumber them, but more importantly, they didn't appear to be as fast as she was, so if things went sour, running away would be easy. Without hesitation, the armored man and the snake man advanced, and the crossbowmen fired. It was time for her to earn her keep.
Leaping from the wagon, she landed in a run, drawing her knife and catching up with the armored man as he reached his target. Unarmed as they were, she wouldn't fight any of these weird things alone if she had a choice. She ran behind the creature, forcing it to divide its attention between her and the knight-like person. The distraction proved successful as the man embedded his rather large sword into its torso, sending it to the ground. With a closer look, the creature's skin looked much like the bark of a tree. A tree! What was her knife going to do to a wooden foe!? She looked to another one, which had fallen with several crossbow bolts in it. Apparently, if you put holes in them, the died like anything else. She watched the advancing remnants. When they got closer and less dispersed, she would circle around behind the enemy formation.
