Reiga: Rebirth

This place we call Earth was once another world entirely and went by the name Reiga. The Goddess, whom went by many names, created our world and all within it. She created many races, from Beast to Demon, Vampire, Shifter, Necromancer, Fey, Human, even the Soulless to name a few. She loved her children, but many her children disobeyed her wishes and there was much bloodshed. The Goddess did much to quell the blood lust between the species, but eventually too much blood was spilled and she decided to make the world anew. Her favored race, the Humans, would be what remained of the dominant races that once walked the earth. Many the predators were deemed too dangerous and had to be declawed. Much of the beasts were too large and powerful and had to be cut down. The magic was too much a temptation and had to be locked away into the earth. Once her job was done the Goddess went into a deep slumber to recover, and no longer could her children reach her or learn of her.

Much time passed, the once almost extinct race is now in control, and we mostly only kill each other. The seal that locked Reiga away is breaking. Perhaps it's due to time, interference, but one may hope the Goddess herself has returned to bring our world back. Our blood is awakening. For most it will be slow, almost unnoticeable changes until one puts it all together. Few will go through abrupt changes that very well might be too much for them. It is only beginning so there's no telling just how much of the populace is affected, how many of us are experiencing this Rebirth. But be weary because all the creatures of legend and myth are based off of beings that will soon walk the earth, in their full glory.


Most races/species are accepted, as long as they have basis from somewhere(myth,legend, folklore, you get the idea) and they are realistic and have limitations to their abilities.

Reiga cycles around reincarnation, meaning dreams or memories could reveal some of Reiga's past to some of us, as it would have to the ones that dreamt up the monsters like vampires or werewolfs in books of lore.

Humans are also a playable character. Not all will or can awaken, and perhaps the ones left behind might find themselves wanting to stop this rebirth, to stop these monsters from overtaking them

Some if not most of the magic that one might use can interfere with technology. At large it will still work, at least for the time being, but perhaps there's something to the people walking around that no sooner touch technology than to break it.

Most with awakened blood can sense one another. It's more so just an odd feeling you may get off of someone, of familiarity or that they stand out in some way or another.

You can have multiple characters as well as they remain active and when you post it's clear as to whom is doing what.

This is a literate and mature roleplay, correct grammar and punctuation are advised and at least a decent paragraph minimum per post if not more.



What awaits Reiga after its slow rebirth is unknown to all. May you witness the change and see for yourself as the story unfolds

Kaleo Zhang

Twenty-nine

In his awakened form, little of Kaleo's appearance changes. Of course, his wings are only present in his awakened form, small and adorned with silver blue feathers. However, should Kaleo come into contact with water, his skin will be slowly covered by shimmering blue scales. If exposure to water is prolonged, Kaleo's feathers will molt until they are bare bone, and eventually his form will shift, condemning him to live within the water. Even so, the bones of his wings will remain.

As a siren, Kaleo has the ability to entrance whom he wishes with his voice. All human minds are bendable to his will. However, the minds of his fellow beasts are another story. Kaleo can only compel awakened to come to him, and little to nothing more. All humans, and many awakened, will feel a strong sense of attraction to Kaleo should he sing for them, often leading to a deadly infatuation.

Kaleo is very loving individual, with a weakness for children and animals. He will care for others before himself, despite his natural selfishness, which he is quite ashamed of. Truly, he only cares for others and animals in hopes they might stay with him; love him. Kaleo is a very good listener, and often doesn't sign or write much, choosing to simply reply with facial expressions. Kaleo can be quite the shameless flirt. When he sets his eyes on something, whether it be a person or not, it's very difficult to switch Kaleo's focus. His thoughts will be tainted with the object of his desire until he's able to have it.

Kaleo is mute, his voice sealed away with his true form. He reads lip rather easily, and is fluent in sign language. Kaleo loves flowers, and is quite the gardener; his yard is home to a greenhouse larger than his house.

Personality: Risa is mature for fourteen, and wishes she could be older so that she can actually be taken seriously. She's well aware of the realities that the earth has and she doesn't suffer fools lightly. Still she is a loving soul and cares for others, even if she isn't able to be the one to tend to them, she still finds a way to help them out if she can. Also she has a knack for being blunt and saying 'off the wall' things, which has prevented her from being adopted into a family despite her positive attributes.
Additional: Has the knack for freezing and breaking any tech that she touches.
