    Patience, patience, and more god-damned patience.

    Masterpieces don't happen overnight. Don't bum-rush it, make a lot of drafts, as many as it takes to get it to that plateau of awesomeness that I am sure you are striving for.

    You're not going to get it right the first time. And that's okay. Keep on going.
    Worrying about whether or not a draft is good enough is only going to hold your subconscious back.

    well, im just going to keep running into a wall like an idiot until i can finally get something properly written out... yeah, writing isnt really my thing, especially novels :/

    i do role play though (capt'n ovious alert)

    I'm currently working on one too(although I'm not far at all). The key is to plan, plan, plan! It might be ages before you get to the actual writing. Even I'm just barely into that yet since I hardly even have a plot yet, just a created universe and characters.
