"The city has been walled off for hundreds of year. No one really remembers what is was like before or what’s even outside the walls and those who had have long perished. Fortunately, it is a self-sustaining entity but in order to be that way sacrifices had to be made along the way. They would call it privileges, others called it freedoms. Where you live and work, who you’re partnered with, how many children you have, and even what you can eat, has been carefully calculated and controlled. A giant cooperation called ConCo runs the city and oversees every little detail. But there are some of us that want out, some of us who can’t take it anymore."

Personality: Lavender, despite a somewhat girly name, is a boyish girl through-and-through. She's an enthusiast of competition with a particular fondness for the paranormal, and while she may not seem to care much for other people, her love for the ones she does care about is second to none. She seems to have problems trusting others, though, and can become very paranoid from time to time. Let it also be noted that Lavender shows a vicious amount of envy when she sees people having a good time with others, especially with family.

One last distinguishing trait about Lavender is her massive phobia of heights, especially when standing at a cliff. Simply being high above the ground will cause her boyish personality to break apart, revealing a cowardly person instead who does everything she can to get away from a high place.

If she's bored, Lavender will usually resort to some kind of no-good shenanigans to get back to her usual entertained state.

Biography: Lavender was born the youngest of nine siblings, living in a very cramped household that consisted of herself, five brothers, three sisters, a mother, a father, and two uncles. With so many guys in the household, Lavender took more to their ways than those of the girls, and before long, the boys in her neighborhood could almost call her one of the guys. The only thing stopping those words was that pesky lack of a Y chromosome. Even so, she got along with all and everybody, and everybody got along with her in return. Indeed, Lavender's entertained smile never faded.

Until the worst happened not long after Lavender's 18th birthday. All at once, the Zydro household lost all of its income, and with thirteen people in one house, things got really bad really fast. About a week into the financial breakdown, Lavender's oldest brother was found in his room, dead, hanging from a rope by the neck. Grief and despair spread, and days later, the rest of the Zydro family started dropping like flies. Jumping off a high cliff, hanging from rope, drowning themselves, the entire family except Lavender committed mass suicide with different methods from one person to the next. It left a horrible emotional scar on Lavender, but she did her best to hide it.

With everybody who knew her giving condolences for the family she was trying to not think about, it was hard to hide her grief and sorrow. For a few days, she became extremely introverted, and some rumors had spread that even Lavender was ready to end it all. The result was far from what was expected. Instead of killing herself, Lavender ran away, pretty much across the entire city, to try and start a new life. One full of laughter and love, just like the one she used to live. Five months in, and...well, she's not dead at least.

Personal Issues: Her family's mass suicide sometimes leaves Lavender with nightmares (sometimes daydreams) of committing suicide herself. She always awakens in tears and horror.

Lavender is too quick to fall in love, primarily because she's subconsciously trying to replace her family members with people she meets along her travels. This makes her frequent moving hard on her.

Personality: Charles would love it if the world simply ignored him and left him alone. He is solitary by nature and doesn’t use any more words than necessarily. Nevertheless, he is kindhearted if not easily intimidated.

Occupation: Head Librarian

Biography: Charles grew up as an only child in a middle class family. His parents were never particularly close with him or each other. Although both are still alive, they rarely even see each other except for in passing. Charles spends most of his time at the library even when he’s not at work and loves to pour over the fiction section. A week ago an incident happened that changed his outlook on life. While reading through one of the books he borrowed from the library, he discovered a slip of paper describing yesterday’s power outage which sank a quarter of the city into darkness for a few hours.

Personality: Nym is a focused person and a hard worker although that doesn’t mean however that’s she’s happy about her job. Nym is social and often hangs out with her grade school click after a hard day of work. Her hobbies include baking and board games.

Occupation: Lab Assistant

Biography: Nym grew up in an elite family known for breeding some of the most capable but loyal citizens in the city. When she was younger, her older brother went missing and the family’s reputation suffered somewhat. After completing school, Nym was tested and was placed in the position of lab assistant under Dr. Williams. She personally hates what her job forces her to do including formulating a drug that causes apathy often given to people whom the government deems a threat but still wants to use for hard labor. Under the current city housing crunch she rooms with Charles Plygard, although she rarely sees him. Nym expects to be moving out pretty soon once the city designates her husband.
