Welcome to the Academy (Free OOC)

This rp is based off an academy for students that are different from normal humans. If you are interested your character has basically a mutant trait where you can do something no other normal human can do. You feel hated by normal people when they discover you are a freak compared to them. If only you had a way out from normal life.

But wait...you walk to your mail box and you have received letter from The Alexander Academy of Gifted Students. You have been accepted to come live at the academy to get through school and to learn how to handle your new abilities and powers. You don't have to pay a single penny to come and your parents basically force you to go even if you want to or not.

Your character can either be a return student coming back from holiday break or a brand new student here for orientation. You attend normal high school level classes and you also have an ability training class that you have to go through until the school is 100% sure you can use it safely in a bunch of different situations.

Here are the Rules. Please follow them and this rp will run smoothly.
1. Even if the characters have mutant powers does not give anyone the right to God Mod in the rp. If your character gets into a fight you cant always block every single attack. Let he or she get punched and lose a fight from time to time please.
2. I will allow this to end up being a romance rp if two characters end up doing so, but please keep it pg13 so I do not get in trouble on the site or anyone else.
3. I will allow the max of 2 characters for now until I see how many people decide to join. I probably would not allow more than that usually anyways.
4. Please leave all OOC chatter in the OOC. It drives me crazy when people tend to do that from time to time. That is why we create OOC's so we dont have to get conversations and story information all mixed up.
5. And most of all HAVE FUN! This rp is for people to relax and have fun with maybe even a little action later on depending on how my NPC's react to the new students, (working out mini sub-plot in head).

How many years have you been here?: Since She was 9 years old. (Will explain in back story)
Special Ability: The ability to control sound waves around her. This allows her to play music or even send high pitch sounds to an enemies ear with out anyone else being able to hear it that it was not intended for.
Personality: She is bubbly and a very well rounded people person. She can make a lot of friends easily and really enjoys a good party or two with her friends there with her. When she is alone though she relaxes to nice music playing in her headphones and reading books when she gets the chance. She can be considered as one of the nerds as well as a popular kid.
Back Story: She was born and raised in a very strict religious family. She never really could follow every rule they gave her because she would always end up messing up and getting into serious trouble. She always wanted to do what ever she wanted to do like listen to music. Little did she know at the time that music and sounds would be her biggest mistake.
When she was in her room one day playing music on her radio she did not realize that the system was on. So when her parents heard the music, went up to her room and found the system off they assumed that she had become possessed by the devil and was no longer their daughter. They sent her off to the school at the age of 9, making her the youngest student and part of the first 100 sent there. She has not really known a life outside of the academy.

Personality: Shy when you first meet but it might come off as ignorant. She tends to isolate herself from people, finding refugee in books.
Back Story: She realized her power when she was a young girl in kindergarten. After enduring being bullied constantly, she defended herself by pushing the girl away, the girl was flung away without being touched. Only a few classmates witnessed it but Jaelyn was suspended immediately for fighting, and upon coming back to school, rumors sprouted about her being a freak. Her own mother was disgusted by the sight of her, forcing her to come to this school.

Special Ability: She is a mermaid when she is put into water and can also control the element of water.
Personality: Marina is very reserved but easy to get along with. She is genuinely kind and loves all people. She has fears of never being accepted by people she likes. Sometimes, she can very quiet but she will always speak her opinion when it is asked of her. She usually keeps her opinions to herself so she doesn't cause a scene amongst friends just in case they are easily offended. On the other hand, when she transforms into a mermaid her instincts kick in. Mermaid Marina becomes a "man eater" in a sense. She just becomes a seductress to get what she wants.
Back Story: Marina was once a kind and carefree girl. As a girl in high school, she began to feel the pressure of fitting in. It was something everyone went through. Marina took it too far. Her kind personality still existed but tore itself in half, becoming someone else she never thought she could be. Her foster parents noticed her change in attitude and took her to a doctor. Marina had two personalities existing inside of her. As she took medication to calm her other side, she distracted herself by joining the swim team. The girls loved her and her ability to swim was the reason why the team made it to state finals. Unfortunately, the medication didn't help calm her other personality when she was at a swim meet one day. She grew fins where her feet were meant to be and the water moved the way she wanted it to move when she finally came to her senses that she was not who she used to be. Marina was born a mermaid and her foster parents found her on a beach. They took her in and expected her to keep her human form as long as she didn't enter the ocean. Once they found out about her episode in the school swimming pool, they pulled her from school and sent her to a school where she would be accepted by others like her.

Aerial Adaptation: Angel's entire anatomy is naturally adapted to flying. His bones are hollow like a birds, making him weigh far less than usual for a man of his build. His body is virtually devoid of fat and possesses greater proportionate muscle mass than an ordinary human does. His eyes are specially adapted to withstand high-speed winds which would hurt the average human eye. He possesses a special membrane in his respiratory system enabling him to extract oxygen from the air at high velocities or altitudes.

Personality:
Sébastien tends to keep to himself, afraid of how people would react to him and his apperance. He has not come to terms with his ability and considers it a curse instead of a blessing. He thinks of himself as a freak, a disgrace.

Back Story:
Son of the wealthy Spencer Wynters Jr and his wife Catherine, neither of whom were aware that their son had developed a pair of large feathered wings extending from his back, enabling him to fly. Sébastien was only a child when his wings first sprouted from his back. Scared of how people would react to him, he ripped the feathers off to try and hide them, but they would always grow back. His father walked in on him while Sébastien was trying to rip the feathers from his back, shocked to see what his son had become. Spencer brought his son to a number of plastic surgens to try and have them removed, but no matter what they did the wings would always grow back. Embarrassed at what his son had become, Spencer disowned him. Sébastien was kicked out and forced to live on the streets, leaving his life and family behind. While on the streets, he was beaten and harrassed for being a freak. He was found in an allyway all beaten and bloody, on the verge of death by a fellow mutant. This mutant took him in and nurtured him back to health, taking care of him and protecting him from harm and the outside world.

User can move, shape and otherwise manipulate any "Earthen" elements including most solid objects, specifically all minerals and mineral compositions regardless of their state (mountain, boulder, sand or dust), dirt and soil as well as bones although most wont be able to manipulate bones of living beings. Some users may have fine enough control to create/shape complicated objects.
Hobbie is a large bad boy type of guy, being a large rebel when it comes to anything and mostly all the time refusing to follow the rules. Doing the complete opposite to what most people ask him to do. Using his unstopable puppy dog eyes to get most things that he wants. Not taking any rude behavior from anyone, he instantly fires back being a large asshole. Sticking up for his friends most of the time when in a time of need, not taking no for an answer. Around his friends that he gets along with he is a rather funny and outgoing guy and a rather good guy to be around and hang around with.
Hobbie grew up with rather poor parents, both in which try their hardest to get Hobbie all that he wants but because either of them have a well paying job he was caused to normally get nothing for his birthdays and Christmas. He discovered his powers one day when he was at school, only being around ten or eleven when he first found out. He was easily just playing with the mud like any child his age would've done in his old school in the back of the field. A large boulder sized mud ball sprouted up with the mud Hobbie was playing with, thrusting his hands forwards in scaredness, the ball tumbled down the hill taking out a few of his friends that were stood at the bottom of the hill he was on. No one knew what exactly had happened except Hobbie, so rather scared of what would happen he kept it as a secret. He already had life hard and he didn't want to make it any more difficult than how it already was. The rest of his life went on as a secret as he grew up...

Special Ability: he is able to change the gravity around him, this does not mean he can lift people and throw large things around, he can only lift some medium sized objects and change what direction and how strong gravity effects him,
Personality: He is a rather average kid, he isn't exactly the best at making friends but he tries when he can, he is somewhat a jokester that likes telling jokes making bad puns and playing lame pranks,
Back Story: Axton grew up with a single mother no father and another brother, they had a simple life until Axton turned 9, his brother didn't know better one day and tried to cross the street when a car was coming, Axton saw it and his powers took over, they pulled his younger brother back just in time, Axton woke up three days later in the hospital, using so much power for the first time had effected him negatively, he had been spotted in the news and was bullied at his school for being a freak, his brother and him stayed close and his mother didn't treat him an different, he learned to cope with the bullying until one day they took his brother and threatened to throw him from the roof of their school building, when a surprisingly strong wind caught them off guard, they dropped his brother, Axton tried using his powers but could not summon them, his brother became crippled and could no longer use his legs, Axton blames himself to this day but his brother does not, when Axton found the chance to learn to control his abilities better, he took it immediately,
