The Disciples- OOC

[Raven Rise]

Story:

Millennia ago, mankind had become corrupt and sinful, and God became displeased. Disappointed in His children, God created a massive flood to cover the land and wipe out all the people in the world— All the people, except Noah and his family, who where faithful servants of God. For forty days and forty nights, the storm raged, and when the floodwaters finally receded, Noah stood strong; one man and his family to reshape humankind and fill it with good. God, saddened by what He had to do to the rest of the world, made a Covenant with Noah, declaring that never again would He destroy the earth in such a way... Never again would He destroy the world

The year is now 2013, and Noah and his children have been dead for thousands of years. Once again the world has fallen into the blackness of sin, only this time, it's far worse. Not only is humankind corrupt, but so is nature. Humans, with their industry, have caused global warming, which threatens the world as we know it. God, angered that the stewards of His beautiful earth failed to protect it from themselves, decided to use a "back door" to his pact. Summoning an almighty lightning bolt, he cast if into the postercity of sin: Los Vegas, *wiping it out instantly. That however, was not the master plan. When the lightning bolt struck, it ripped open a massive window between Hell and Earth, releasing all of Hell's inhabitants to bring about the apocalypse. The Demons, the Damned, the fallen angels, and many more all sent forth upon the land at once, pillaging and reaping at will.

It seemed like all hope was lost. The world was overrun by evil, and the militaries of the world were powerless against their supernatural foes. When hope seemed gone, it appeared in the unlikeliest of places. Rising from the ashes arose a group of people- the only souls in Las Vegas not hellbound. They had survive the bolt, and more. As they crawled out of the ruins, they quickly discovered that exposure to the window had given them great powers- they could wield incredible magic and any weapons they wielded could kill the hellions. Learning of their abilities, these people realized their cause: they were the new Noah, and God had sent them to save the earth.

Lore:
The Disciples: The survivors (us), are somewhat of superheroes, capable of amazing feats that regular mortals could never accomplish. When they were exposed to the window between Hell and Earth, they were given inhuman, magical powers, most of which are elemental. Generally known as The Disciples by the common man, their goal is to kill all of the evil on earth, casting them back to hell. With their powers, this may sound easy, but it's anything but.

The Damned: The Damned are the most common hellions on Earth- they are the souls of people who died and went to Hell, but on earth they have physical form. They have powers similar to ghosts, but these vary, with some being as only as strong as any man, while others are tougher than demons.

Demons: The next step up in the power-bracket of Hell, *demons were created by Lucifer to be his torturers in hell. Hating humans merely because of their existence, they slaughter without second thought, and wield great power. In a one-on-one, demons are a serious threat to any Disciple at their current ability.

Fallen Angels: Lucifer was not the only angel to rebel against God; these creatures, boasting powers far beyond those of any demon, are far beyond the reach of the Desciples. Oftentimes they lead groups of Demons and Damned souls. Some notable Fallen Angels are Azazel, Semjaya, and Leviathan.

Lucifer: the original, the king of Hell. When God created man, Lucifer thought that humans were weak and did not deserve God's love as much as the other beings God had created. Generally thought of as the leader of the Hellions, the only reason Lucifer himself hasn't struck down the Disciples is because he considers them too insignificant to worry about.*

Monsters: Anything that doesn't fit into one of the above categories, monsters are as carried as color in the rainbow, including beasts as simple as poltergeists, to beasts as terrifying as the Kraken.

Disciple Powers: It seems that when the Disciples acquired their abilities, they all fell into these categories.
Magic:
Fire- the ability to create and manipulate fire.
Earth- the ability to manipulate rock, dirt, and ore.
Water- the ability to manipulate the three phases of water
Air- the ability to manipulate wind
Lightning- The ability to create and manipulate lightning
Light- the ability to create and manipulate light
Dark- the ability to create and manipulate darkness

Traits:
Strength- Disciples gifted with incredible strength are as powerful as ten men
Speed- Disciples who were bestowed speed can run as fast as a horse
Agility: Disciples given this trait are more agile than a spider monkey, able to leap and twist through the most unimaginable spaces
Durability: Disciples with this trait have a higher tolerance to pain and have denser skin, making them slower but a lot harder to kill

Weapons (If Any): None, except the spiked implements that replace his arms when transformed. Also channels the powers of the Earth; spikes, walls, and the melding of crude metals into his imposing frame.

Traits/Magic: Strength, Durability/Earth

Personality: He is very quick and perceptive when in normal form, independent and not given on taking help from other people. When transformed, he is methodical and lumbering in speech and thought, but unrelenting and tenacious.

History (Please include why you were in Las Vegas): A native to Las Vegas, Alec grew up in one of the many suburbs that surround the outskirts of the Strip. When his family's house was foreclosed due to budget problems, Alec and his family was forced to move to an apartment in a rough neighborhood. This made Alec headstrong and very independent. Despising school despite his clever nature, Alec started to work for the Sin City Cab Company, collecting fares as well as stories of the many individuals he transported, mostly drunken tourists and cynical, no-nonsense locals. When the gate to Hell opened up as a side effect from God's wrath, Alec thought he would fall victim to the hordes as many of his neighbors, friends, and family had. Instead, he woke up transformed into an earthen avatar. Using his newfound abilities, Alec yearns to take vengeance on the legions of Hell for what they did to his city and the people he loved.
