Battletech RP: The Clan Invasion

Charles confirmed the antics of the inner sphere as one of his men was ambushed. "Cowards don't fight us in straight up combat, be wary." he said As he listened to Jarric he responded, "Affirmative tell us if you see anything, everyone else keep an eye out." he said. It wasn't long after he said that he saw movement on his side.

"I have movement on my '3'" he said as he moved his Dire Wolf to facing the direction. It was then that 4 mechs; a Jagermech III, a Black Watch, as well as 2 blitzkriegs came out of the denseness of the large forest. There had been covering enough to hide them but now they were spotted and they fired at the group. Charles felt as an autocannon smashed into his Dire Wolf.

"On the sides!" he said as he moved his Dire wolf in between a tree as a shot slammed into the tree. "4 contacts, keep your eyes ready for anything from behind!" he said, "These are kills everyone, they fired first!" he said as he fired back as his Guass rifle slammed in to the Black Watch's shoulder as it turned to the guass rifle but turning back and firing at charles.

It didn't take long for 2 Cobra's to come out from ahead and start attacking Jarric and the rest of the group. "Watch the flank!" charles said as he fired another round that smashed into the blackwatch's leg as it stumbled back for a second. "We are gonna have to fight like these rats so don't be trying to not accept help!" he added as his own arm was hit from a shot by the Jaggermech.

Dieter watched as his commander and the rest of the team was being hit hard,not that he didn't want to help,he was getting lock on the Jagermech
" Engaging the Schweinehunds that thought they could spring a trap on us "he reported as the computer chimed in that it had a lock" Hope he likes being well ventilated "he added as he stood up,the waldo units in the mech bringing it to a full stand over the tree tops where he had been lowered as to not have his head taken off.the smoke trail from the two LRM-10s and two LRM-15s bringing a total of 45 missiles flying over the tree tops and crashing down over the JagermechIII

With barely any time to register that the rest of his unit was under attack from the side opposite his own position Jarric was just turning back to aid them when missiles erupted all across and around his mech. With the sudden attack two mechs registered upon his scans, his computer identifying them asCobras, the missile laden mechs had fired directly and without lock resulting in comparitivly few hits given the amount fired but the paired mechs had considerable missile loadouts and were now moving together through the trees. Moving his mech up to it's maximum running speed of just of 85kph he was soon closing on them, his targetting computer failing to get an solid tone of them due to the trees consistently interfering with it's attempts. The only success came from his mech outmatching their fleeing speed with his pursuing easily getting within their missile's minimum range. Feeling secure and superior made him lax as he had only a moment of warning when he mech toned out a missile lock before 60 LRMs came streaking through the trees at him. A great number of them impacted on trees as he jinked trying to avoid them but he still lost over a ton of armor from those that impacted.

Slightly infuriated now by his enemies Jarric still had enough state of mind to figure out how they had managed to hit him with their missiles while he was so close. Bringing his crosshairs over to one of the missile launchers he snapped off a shot with both PPCs sending one streaking past the target wide but the other impacted solidly on the launcher which instantly detonated in a momentus fireball, this seemed to kick of ammo stores within the mech and the entire left side of the mech exploded outwards sending it tumbling to the ground. With his friend down the other mech faltered a moment seemingly about to render aid, that moment was all that Jarric needed, with a solid tone now from his targetting computer he unleashed an alpha strike which impacted just below the cockpit and easily cored the underarmored mech. Leaving his downed foes where they were he marked on his tactical map their location before turning about and speeding back the way he came to try and return to aid his comrades, the trees limitting his line of sight and making it difficult to fire on far targets.
