Bump.
WELCOME TO THE HOME OF THE DRAGON MASTERS
You have been chosen to study under the Dragon Masters and Mistresses of Malaire, the city which most have only seen in ancient paintings and dreams. This will be your home for the next year, during which you will do your best to train and study the arts of:
Cina, protection
Chana, strength
Cosa, healing
Cen, enchantment
Ciro, illusion
Csa, elemental
Chesi, wildling
and
Chesok, darkling
This year will also be your introduction to the elusive Dracon, or Dragon, as they are known by commoners. You will train with them, fight with them, and bond with them, until you are ready to become the Dragon Master or Mistress your have always wished to be. When your year is up, your will take the Examination, to test what you have learned throughout your stay. If you pass, you have earned the right to stay another year, but if you fail, your memories of Malaire will be erased and you will be sent back to your ordinary lives, never truly satisfied, forever wondering what else is out there.

Okay, so that's basically the idea. I'm up to ideas, and I'll be including a detailed guide once I see some interest.
Define 'the city which most have only seen in a dream'. The use of the word 'commoners' suggests medieval stuff on the ground, but it could easily be New York with Dragons or something. Is this set in modern times? Medieval? Alternate universe of our own world? Should we fear cyborg Stalin rising at the head of another undead liberation revolution or are there hints of That Which Should Not Be invading by the help of Him Of Many Names And Even More Tentacles? Something completely else?
Essentially, sounds interesting but with no clue on what I'm looking at aside from 'Dragons & Magic', I can't directly say if I'm interested or not.
Current RP's:
Those Who Wonder - So a pirate lord and a bunch of government loyalists get stuck in the same dimensional maelstrom...
Naruto RP: Squad 9 - Six kids, two overseers and one house. Tread softly and carry a big stick.
Current Internet Troll Killcount: 3
New York City with dragons and magic sounds like Seattle*.
*: After marijuana was legalized
Yes, I was thinking along the lines of a more medieval type roleplay... I'll definitely be including more information on the Rp later on, but if you have any more questions, I'd been fine with answering them.![]()
I'd be down for this! It'd be awesome if there was some kind of competitive element as well. Nothing like pitting people against each other to get the blood flowing, haha.
Also, what do those classes signify? Would our characters specialize in one of them or all of them?
Well, conflict is a definite yes, but I'm still trying to come up with a good example. I don't want the stereotypical good vs evil scenario- I was hoping for something with more realism (if you can do that in a fantasy Rp XD). I was thinking along the lines of the Masters being a league meant to bring together the different magic users.
EDIT: We're meant to spend our first year learning all of them, then choose your Major Class and your two Minor Classes.
A league meant to bring together different magic users... I'm guessing the magic users will be the ones you mentioned, protection, strength, healing etc?
Urk. Majors and minors. Reminds me of university... Haha, just kidding. That sounds fascinating! I'm guessing you could guess a person's personality from their choices, right?
A person who specialized in protection, healing and enchantment as opposed to illusion, darkling and elemental. That's interesting.
Yeah, that's basically the gist of it. :3 I'm glad you like it.
I think I already have a character concept in mind now.
Minor Chana, strength.
*flexes* Hello ladies.
Major Ciro, illusion
Look again.
Minor Csa, elemental
The punches are now diamonds.
(Or just earth enhanced if you want to be a stick in the mud.)
