MLP Changing the Story

Alright. So me and a couple of other people did a MLP RP a while back and it was really fun!
Now that RP died out..yeah it was sad haha But anyways I've been talking with some other people and I want to do another MLP RP but with a different plot.
I was thinking one thing happening was maybe a powerful and evil pony comes to town and starts causing chaos and messing with all the ponies that the people would be playing as.
As well as a person would be playing the evil char.
But maybe we don't have to do an evil char plot..but it seems to me that they are the most interesting.
If anybody has any ideas or anything either post them here or message me! I can't wait to start this!

When something dies out, it only starts something new. An idea from me; an RP in Las Pegasus, the plot would more or less revolve around an under-belly place called the Undercloud.
A place for the 'less wealthy' pegasi. And also home to thugs. (In case anyone would like a 'bad' character.) The main attraction would be a stadium where the only the most brutal survive.
Electric fences boxing in the track, pegasi push and shove to come out on top. A truly brutal sport, but for the ponies of the Undercloud, it's the best way to earn bits if you've got the guts, and wits, to survive.

Now, because i don't expect everyone who'd join to like playing as a pegasus, or they just don't like my idea, i suppose your idea could work. I wouldn't have a problem playing it, either.
I think whoever is playing this powerful and evil pony would have the biggest role. And i'd personally like to avoid being that character. I'd like to be a part of this as my first RP on the forum!

Well that sounds like a good idea haha but I'm not exactly sure how to work that out. I mean we could don't get me wrong haha

I like Raddums idea.. It's dark and would be a great non-MLP movie that everyone would love but the fact it's an MLP RP makes it that much better xD

I'm pretty much up for any idea, if everyone else can agree on it, i'm in.

@Bmxbrat Thanks, it just seems like Equestria wouldn't be ALL friendship and giddy. (I might be thinking about this too hard, given it's supposed to be for children.)
What would these artifacts be? And how would they start on such a quest? Are they certain ponies picked out of Celestia's guards, or something bigger?

Maybe one of those minion that the great evil thing sends can like mess with the ponies that are destined to stop the great evil.
Well I guess that that happening would be implied...but eh :P Maybe some of the minions could go and mess with the lives of the ponies and just cause chaos

I was thinking some thing along the lines of gems with symbols on them that fit into a helmet that when all of them are placed in it give the wearer great abilities. As for the choosing of the group I was thinking that they were picked for their abilities so they can search for and find the gems.

This is a decent idea, has the adventure theme too it... But like i said, up to you guys, i'm just someone who likes RPing and Ponies.

While on the topic of the word Pony, Scootaloo is the best Pony AND Chicken.
